He was trying to limit our options today to ONLY Jack, and while I certainly endorse a Jack lynch ATM, there is always room for other leads to come up. Yes. I believe its purpose is to get reads, and that's what it did. I may disagree with Jack's reads, but his gambit has certainly helped me and others get reads of our own.

Jack did not accuse a random player of being scummy. That accusation seems pretty calculated to me, seeing as I (and presumably Lady Lambdadelta) got the same vibes he did about you at that particular point in time.

Yes, you guys speculated over a false dilemma (just not for 7 pages). The sentiment I got from this past discussion that one of Jack and Nobody Special

to be scum; that, to me, is a very poor assumption to make, and I strongly dislike that it was made at all. Jack's flip does nothing to help any of us read Nobody Special, and Nobody Special doesn't even flip. Even if he did, it wouldn't tell us anything about Jack.

Seems a tiny bit extensive, not to mention dangerous, just to skip RVS and garner shoddy if not biased reads.

However, TMH seems desperate to have Jack be the lynch today. He's continuing to make comments that imply he wants only Jack to be the target today. He even went as far as to come out and state that Jack was the only possible vote today. This limiting of his own, AND the towns vision to a tunnel can be classified as scummy.

If Jack can convince me that this was a elaborate gambit, I'd say TMH is a good lynch today.

At the time of the post, I was voting Jack conditionally based upon whether I could see proof of this being a gambit. While I find his motives for it to be absolutely ridiculous, even scum has

no good reason

to lie about something like that. Essentially, NO ONE has a reason. It is now my opinion based upon current revelations, that it was all for the lolreactions.

This being said, We did get a solid reaction read on TMH. The same style of play he used in a scum Meta I have on him (which, again, cannot be referenced). I have only one lasting concern about this intel. The possibility remains that this was a SCUM Gambit, designed to create confusion, and reads based upon that confusion. A confused townie is nearly indistinguishable from a anti-town one. That is where mislynches occur.

This all being said, I wish to keep a further eye on Jack, but his lynch no longer provides the information it did before, and he is no longer the scummiest person in the game (now that I actually take the time to think about this, and make a half-decent post).

The motivations for switching to you are incredibly obvious, the relationship between you and jack and me has been really weird. If lynching you helps reveal jack to be scum then I'll be for it, I just don't think it's quite there yet.

I believe I answered both questions Equinox.

I stayed on Jack because I was convinced he was scum, until I started to see what people (namely you) were talking about with reference to the gambit. Since the Gambit was outed, Jack has started to play more like a townie, so I dropped him.

If you recall, I had been suspicious of the way TMH handled his case on Jack, even going as far as to FoS him for tunnelling (I was still voting Jack, because I was still under the impression that his motives were scummy.)

The scum motivation for TMH tunneling Jack was that Jack seemed to be a rather easy lynch at the time. Just use a LAL policy and go under the claim of "this will provide the most info" and you have your case on Jack. What makes him scummy is that now that the Jack case has died, and it is no longer a easy lynch, TMH seems to be slinking off it. He is slowly backing off.

ALSO, I notice that you are giving him a nice way out with:

themanhimself, if you want to "hold[ing] the town back with [your] single-mindedness," stop, drop, and roll out of your tunnel, and read the whole thread again. This is insane.

I happen to find it scummy of TMH abandoning his Jack case like this, after being the most fervent out of everyone trying to lynch him. I find it more interesting that you are now giving him a way out to say "Sorry I was being stupid guys! Here, let me follow your wagon Equinox!"

You are making excuses for his play.

He is guilty of:
Tunnelling
Wagon Hopping
Distancing

I have provided examples, and I can continue to do so.

I firmly believe that he is scum. It only took me a while to get to him because I had a problem with Jack. Once I saw Jack's intent, I was more that happy to vote the real scum.

This all being said, I wish to keep a further eye on Jack, but his lynch no longer provides the information it did before, and he is no longer the scummiest person in the game (now that I actually take the time to think about this, and make a half-decent post).

The fact is that at that point in time, Jack had just begun to reveal his gambit. I still thought the gambit could be scum driven, but it no longer condemned him as scum for certain. Also, there was no longer an information connection between NS and Jack.

If you look at my later posts, you will notice that I have stopped pursuing Jack completely. His play after the Gambit nonsense has become very town.

Finally, as a point of interest two different people have voted me for two opposite things.

Equi voted me because I "dropped Jack like a hot potato".
You are voting me because you think I "didn't really drop Jack".

There's an inconsistency there. Just thought I'd point that out, considering it means ONE of you is wrong/making shit up/lying.

Finally, TMH was not wrong for suspecting Jack at the time. What made him scum was his unwillingness to consider other targets (even CONSIDER. Not like I'm asking him to change his whole mentality, he would not even LOOK at other possible outcomes), and his shady way of trying to slide off the Jack wagon and onto me, without looking bad.

The points against him are

NOT

about him suspecting Jack. It's about how he went about suspecting Jack, and how he has now changed his entire stance, because Jack is no longer a easy lynch to get (by virtue of LAL).

DTM, think of it this way. If you simplify things, scum has only 2 motivations in doing an action. Either they:

Want to cast suspicion on someone/thing/area of play

OR

They want to divert suspicion from themselves.

This logic can be applied to all statements, actions, votes and kills made by scum.

Therefor, when searching for a reasoning behind the question

Why wouldn't Fishy shorten deadlines if they were scum

apply it to those two logical reasonings.

The first is invalid in this case. It's totally centered around Fishy.

So, to determine if any scum intent can exist... Can Fishy divert attention from himself by making the deadlines good for town? The answer is

. You proved it yourself.

You questioned your scum read on Fishy because he wasn't playing to the obvious scum tactic. Therefor, he has avoided a certain amount of suspicion.

When I say no reason, I mean that you didn't find him scummy.

You have said that DRK (with tajo, tmh) is one of your top scumreads. I don't see how on earth you could want to start a wagon on someone you have no read on, without ever commenting on the DRK wagon or even thinking about voting him. It makes no sense.

I trust Equinox's judgment. I trust Equi enough to place my vote there confidently for now. It will help pressure grow on Feysal (who IS scummy IIRC from what I has seen of him), and when I get around to reading Feysal, if I disagree I will unvote him.

Just as an opening statement, I am happy with my vote on Feysal. This guy needs to noose. Now, on to the show~!

POINT #1: INDECISIVENESS aka Make up your fucking mind already

Feysal has gone through 30+ pages of this game, without ever posting a true case. He has 14 posts, and 1 page of an ISO. Looking at his posts, he comments here and there on cases, but let it be known that

Feysal has never made a case.

Furthermore, Feysal has been pushed quite a lot to give scum reads. Here are some of his posts in response:

I don't care how much you claim you like to post long posts, this is a problem when you have been ASKED TO STOP by Equinox.

The best example of this can be seen in POINT #1, where Feysal is repeatedly asked "Who's Scum?" and in all occurrences of this his response is to act like he either has a small scum gut read on someone, but he's "not sure" OR he "doesn't have good enough reads right now".

This is him dodging questions.

POINT #3: LURK MOAR, IS NEVER ENOUGH.

14 posts is notably bad for someone who is currently, and has been for a while, under a microscope. It would appear to me that with the sudden rise in suspicion directed at DRK and Tajo, Feysal slipped back under the radar through Points 1 and 2 (Being Cautious Scum/Not answering questions) and then stopped being active. Operation LURK2VICTORY has been activated, and I'll be dammed if I let it work.

With these three points, I have convinced myself that Feysal is a good wagon for today.

Just by the existence of Feysal's ISO, this level of reasoning is possible for
