Good...LORD.
Is the any chance whatsoever this giant clusterfuck of dick/brain measuring could take a back seat to actual scum hunting for a little bit?
I'd like all of you involved in this to please take your heads out of your asses and stop bickering. Stop being concerned about who's the better player. I can assure you that nobody really cares or agrees with any of you.
I'm now going to gather some spelunking equipment and attempt to navigate this dung-filled cavern of a Day 1. See you all on the other side.-

Random thoughts at post 674 (end of p. 27):
I'm townreading Majiffy thus far. I remember him being more arrogant as scum. Yes, really.
Nero is playing differently than the games I remember with him. Will have to go back and check how long ago that was, and what his alignment was.
Icerint/AP is pinging the ever-loving holy crap out of my Goatdar.
Y&B is a fluffier poster than I am. And that's saying something.-

Do you know what games these were? I wouldn't mind taking a look myself...
I assume he's talking about http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=28017

Wow. I'm caught up.
My eyes may actually be bleeding.
I do not like ANY of the top 3 wagons.
As much as that TSO/Mastin/Y&B interaction near the end was painful to read, I really do not like the reactions of Y&B.
vote Y&B
Other top suspect is Beast...and Sven is less active than I remember him, although I can appreciate his need for data.
I am off to stick my eyes into a beer. I will be back later this evening.-

Catching up on this thread and examining the wagons is like herding cats.
I totally missed the Beast claim when it happened...how many votes were there at the time? It looked odd.
I do not like the xofelf or Nero wagons in the least. I'm more inclined to join the Lemniscate wagon, but will reread the Shos iso, just in the unlikely event that Majiffy is smarter than everyone else.-

Fair enough. I just iso-ed myself, and that's deserved.
Here's what I've got stored in my head from following somewhat lackadaisically, without referencing exact posts.
I'm getting a strong town-read on Majiffy, but he's tunneling like a mofo. His stubbornness actually made me LESS likely to vote shos until the last page or so.
I'm also getting strong town reads on SG, Nero and Mastin; their interactions read like "I'm smarter than you" town on town action.
TSO/replacement did something mid-day that pinged me.
Sven is officially freaking me out now. He's playing differently in other games, even "D1 with no data" play is different.-

I ISOed xofelf, the leading wagon, and decided that it is worth the vote. Majiffy can be kept for later.
Anything SPECIFIC in the iso? Because I'm pretty sure the wagon on xofelf was mostly based on LACK of participation.-

so why is the townread? is tunneling and not doing anything else at all for 2000 posts a town-act? this is precisely the reason for me *scum*reading him, and it seems like this is the reason for you *town* reading him?

not too many. Read his ISO; there are just a couple of posts that actually have content.
for example, in post 1135. I would have no problems if he said he didn't read, or skim, or something, but he said that he read through and noticed SG's doublevote - and how comes nobody else noticed it? well, I did, and I pointed itout, and there was discussion. so probably didn't quite read, eh? just sayin ghtat he did.
also not taking concrete stance on my claim.
also trying to get me to claim with no reason at L-7.
and finally
the unvote-because-of-flavor after explaining thorouhgly how mod gives fakeclaims etc etc when dealing with my claim.
also, lurker lynch in a 28p game on D1 can't be such a bad option even if we randomly picked.
I'm biased, but lack of participation, specifically on D1, does not equal scum.-

BLANKET APOLOGY TO EVERYONE IN THE GAME FOR MY LACK OF PARTICIPATION BEFORE MONDAY MORNING. SERIOUSLY. I'M SORRY. I WAS ON VACATION FOR A WEEK AND ALSO TOOK A LONG WEEKEND TO GO CAMPING.
This is designed to be a mea culpa.
On Monday, I did this:
In post 1944, The Goat wrote:Responding to prod. I have pretty much taken as many vacation days and long weekends and such as I'm going to until the end of the summer; I'll hopefully be more useful from this point forward.
From this point forward, if I'm not active during the week, feel free to ride my as about it. I've had more than half of my posts in this entire game SINCE Monday. I'd like to think that at least a couple of them were insightful.
I have now apologized repeatedly, and there are PLENTY of people in this game who have contributed less than I. From this point forward, my response to "Do something useful" or similar posts will be a blanket "Kiss my ass."
Okay?-
