Like, c9 needs the team play because they don't have loaded rosters the way TL, TSM, CLG, and TIP have, but they don't have the solid team play and shot calling that Gravity and Dig have been showing (and are weaker on average in each position than both of those teams)

Could be interesting. I like their scoring system better than alphadraft, at least - more points for CS, and pulls some of the things that Riot's season-long fantasy leagues are already doing, like points for 10+ kills/assists and winning before 30 minutes. They've also put in automatic point bonuses for games that do not get played in a series, if your team or player wins the series.

I see your point about the preparation thing, but nobody knows who they'll be playing until groups are done - I believe knockout draws happen randomly after groups are done, so that prep is just going to be straight practice time, which isn't going to be that helpful at this point.

To be fair, quikshot (I think it was quikshot) was also confused as to how the draw was happening, while he was commentating on it. It wasn't a particularly well-published procedure, and as Zor said, the players have more things to worry about.

I would prefer an inter-region finals, to be honest. Either [kt/koo] v SKT or OG v FNC will be kind of disappointing. I do think the mostly likely result is FNC v SKT, but FNC definitely looks more beatable than SKT does.

I think that Fnatic will give SKT the toughest run they've seen thus far in the tournament. Other than EDG (who wasn't really that much to write home about anyway), SKT has played a wildcard team, the 3rd-best EU team, and an LMS team. This isn't to say that SKT is no as good as advertised or anything - rather, just that SKT-FNC (or SKT-KOO) will be their toughest matches in the tournament.

Origen might actually be able to pull a game off of them if they continue to play as well as they have been, but I doubt that they win the BO5.

I don't think Myko's trying to say Season 1 Worlds don't count - merely that the competition was less challenging, and thus perhaps means less in terms of how quality that win was. It still counts as winning worlds - at that time, they were, in fact, the best team in the world. That was just a less difficult thing to accomplish at that point.

I suppose these are necessary growing pains, to an extent - but right now, with so many of the teams that aren't the biggest ones continually shifting in and out of existence, it's difficult for someone to root for an organization - rather, they root for a group of players. I'm rooting for Renegades next split because of Remilia and Crumbzz, for example - not because I give a shit about the RNG organization. It's going to take some time for more teams to exist in the long-term, and I think I'll know we've made it when it's a rarity when organizations stop existing after they're relegated, rather than the norm.
