According to krepo on twitter, clg lost because they

A) Lost their lead due to farming 2 waves against 3 after taking inhibitor.
B) don't know how to play against that much poke (and nobody does).

Also, AP ez seems kinda silly.

pretty disappointing loss for CLG, although they kinda lost in picks and bans, I was still hoping that they would simply outplay the enemy team

if doublelift fired a jinx rocket into the baron pit near endgame to stop the recalls, that may have been game winning for CLG

If TSM lose against Gravity, from what I've seen it's not because of Turtle. They've just been countered at almost every step.

Not really.

It only seems "silly" because it's new and teams don't know how to play against it.

A smart team will pick up a strong pick right away and win games with it, but an even smarter team will think of counters and bait teams into picking the strong pick, which is what gravity just demonstrated beautifully.

Yeah, it's a thing. Wouldn't expect it to be used in pro play, but as a semi-serious build in solo queue, totally.

You have really strong 1v1 power and splitpush speed, and your poke to set up team fights is decent.

In all fairness, this is really, really hard for most pro teams.

This goes back to the days of AP Nidalee. Poke is generally too strong in most metas, and it's hard to play against because you can't be risk averse vs. it while pro teams are generally risk averse.

No, AP Ez is OP right now. It's consistently the #1 damage champ vs. champions in pro play, even when the team with the AP Ez is behind.

It's not toxic that it exists (like AP Nidalee was), but it needs t have it's damage toned down a bit (maybe 10%). Gravity literally built a team around countering it vs. TSM, and when the counter to a single champ is "build your team to counter that champ and hope that the rest of their team doesn't really do anything," then you know that champ is OP.

That said, Gravity is definitely the pro team that's the most creative with pick/bans and team comps. Keane's champ pool is a huge boon here, since he probably has the broadest champ pool of any pro midlaner right now (other than Faker because lol Faker)

Why was AP Nid toxic? I mean, I get that her spear/javelin had a ridiculous AP scaling or something like that, and the big heals that come with it, but what else was there?

That's pretty much it. The spears alone decimates gameplay, and the big heals just made things worse.

If the spears alone decimate gameplay, why is AP Ez's Q or R not worse?

The problem with old AP nid was severalfold:

1) Large hitbox Q that practically one-shot squishies (this was a HUGE problem. One Q meant you gave up whatever objective was being sieged upon.)
2) Massive heals that gives attack speed on a relatively low cd (since you bought lots of cdr)
3) Spammable escape + ms in brush made her impossible to catch
4) Lack of reasons to use cougar form

The rework fixed 1 and 4, and lowered 2's problems by reducing the healing base (& ratio? I forget). Also, click the link. It helps understand.

People talk about the Rock Paper Scissors of burst - poke - sustain so when a champion is really really awesome at two (arguably three with cougar) it negates that.

Spear+mobility. The spear could 1-shot carries if nid was very ahead, and would 2-shot carries if she was doing fine.
