Game 1 of this series was hella hot shit though. But EDG disappointed me more then me being hyped for FNC.

But hey, 2 EU teams in semi's makes me wet. Makes my viewing party next weekend all the better.

2 EU teams in semis will make an all Korean finals even more disappointing.

I would prefer an inter-region finals, to be honest. Either [kt/koo] v SKT or OG v FNC will be kind of disappointing. I do think the mostly likely result is FNC v SKT, but FNC definitely looks more beatable than SKT does.

EU vs EU finals here we go boys!

Realistically though, I think KT will win vs KOO, and OG will lose to SKT probably 1-3. Finals will likely be SKT vs FNC or KT.

I have SKT v KT Rollster in my finals. I'm rooting for FNC but I don't see it happening. Hope I'm wrong though!

I do! KT is very strong but I think they have flaws that can be exploited if FNC prepares properly. For example, KT was caught off guard by Origens baron plays in their week 1 group game, and FNC seems to be even more on point on barons plays than OG, so KT has to change their play/comps to better oppose the EU baron play to make clean wins.

Apparently SKT hasn't even lost a tier 2 tower yet at worlds.

(because for some reason people sometimes get pissy about this: yes, I did find this on reddit)

Watching finals in big screen top.

I do wonder how beatable skt look against a team like kt/fnc when they still pick scaling comps. They certainly had their shaky moments against ahq, same as fnc against edg

I feel like Fnatic have the best shot of beating SKT. But they need a short series against whoever they play to keep something. SKT's champion pool in every lane is so big they can outpick, but only if they know what's coming. I feel like Febiven would need to have the series of his life.

I see Koo winning and then Fnatic beating Koo.

I think Huni needs to step up a lot more than Febiven if they play SKT - based on performance thus far, I think Febiven can keep up with Faker or Easyhoon, but Huni hasn't been nearly as effective as Marin.

I think if you take out the first week, Huni has been fine, though for the second time this season I wasn't that impressed with his Gangplank.

Huni and Soaz get caught too much when applying pressure. Marin applies slightly less pressure in exchange for not getting caught >.>

there were a set of soaz deaths that were "darien" deaths. Yes he got caught, yes he was overextended, but he did it at a time where the team could afford it. Makes his statline look worse, but were ok plays.

There's also a set that are 50/50 plays. You could argue about those being a good idea.

and then there's the times it just looks bad.

Now I'm not a top tier player, but you might make a case that (probably not calculated, but intuitive) players get greedy right over the edge to see if they can cheat themselves into gaining a small advantage. Sometimes the opponent calls their bluff, sometimes the team is indeed in place to cover it, sometimes it isn't. Faker has this story around him as well, that he's almost asking opponents to call his bluffs, see how much of an edge he can cheat. Because who's not going to give faker some respect?

Now not saying Soaz is faker, but these plays he's been making and the deaths he's had aren't isolated. They are and have always been a constant in his play. And over that time he's been one of Europe's top tier toplaners. All together, maybe you have to start looking for where the payoff for that playstyle is. So maybe the paragraph above makes sense (but how am I supposed to know).

Huni's deaths though, are much more streaky. When he gets behind, he keeps trying to make the same plays and they backfire now and then. It's harder to see a style in that.

Also why I came here: 4/4 in quarterfinal picks! WOO I have the best luck :)
