NA 2-0, EU 1-1. Not a bad first day. Obviously it won't continue, but hopefully perception is starting to change about Wesr being so far behind East. (We still are behind overall, but the gap isn't as big as people like to say/believe.)

To be fair, i'd argue that SKT's win over H2K wasn't exactly the cleanest either, and the point in the game where SKT ran away from the game is as much an H2K misplay in accidentally getting too greedy as it was Marin carrying SKT in a turnaround. (There were points in that game where H2K was ahead and could have even possibly even won with proper play.)

While some like Mykonian will downplay the day, and while I don't think a single successful day will forsee the future, a lot of people thought C9 would go 0-6 in groups, and there were a lot of people who were pessimistic about CLG and FNC as a whole. FNC convincingly crushing IG, probably their strongest opponent in their group and contender for 1st place, is a convincing and good start. There's no need to shittalk FNC, CLG, or C9, just because they didn't fight top tier korean or chinese teams, as if KOO and EDG stomping PNG and BKT respectively should be impressive.
