Everyone is sitting all nice and peaceful in the circle. The sheriff comes out and all hell breaks lose!

Game rules:

1. No role claiming is allowed in the game. The only known role in the game is that of the sherriff. You can claim your character you can claim town, outlaw or renegadge but not the role you received. Only alignment claims are alloud in this game. If you claim anything even a fake claim I will mod kill you.

2. Game is nightless
3. Do not quote anything from the mod.

The exception to this rule is that you can quote what action/card you are playing in the game.

4. Each player is sitting in a circle. Currently they can only shoot either person next to them and no further.
5. New cards are dealt after a player is dead. No one will have more then 4 cards in their hand at any one time. No new cards are given till a player is dead
6. Some cards will be attached to you that may be stolen or removed if someone gets that card.
7. Everyone starts out with X life and X bullets. I will be keeping track of both. Once your out of bullets you can't shoot for the rest of the day unless you have an action/card that gives you this ability
8. If you chose to not draw during the next day phases this means you get no cards.
9. If I see game is stagnant or no shooting going on I will rain bullets at players randomly. Do not test me on this I don't want to see no shooting in this game.
10. Players instead of lynching shot at a player. Post in bold

Shoot: player name

11. You can not unshot a player. Seriously can you stop a bullet?
12. You can chose to play an action on someone else instead of yourself. (IE: the miss card can be used to save another player)
13. Since this game is nightless there is no deadline but if I feel people are slowing things down I will play God and start raining bullets down on random players see rule 9.
14. If you haven't read the rules for Bang I suggest doing so as I took certain liberties in the game.
15. At the start of a new day you will start with same number of bullets you started with day 1. I sent a role along with stats to each player.
16. No outguessing the mod.
17. This game is meant for fun please don't ruin it.
18. After you are dead you are alloud one "bah" post that can say anything you like as long as it's not game related
19. I use

for my post please do not use this color.
20. Rules are subject to change I have the right to boot someone who is being an asshat.
21. As always you can ask as many questions about the game, cards or what not either by PM or in thread. Please bold any questions to me.
22. When playing an action/card please post the card test in bold so I can see it.
23. If you have an action to play (IE:miss, barrell) or a react to another card you must play the card 48 hours after the action took place. I count weekends (sat/sunday together) as a 24 hour period.
24. no talk about any flavor text is aloud, penalize or rewards discussion is not aloud either.
25. Play to win. Failure to do so will result in either a modkill/replacement.

In the regular game, you cannot play a Miss card for someone else. In Bang! Mafia, we can play Miss cards on someone else. Can we play it on anyone, or just players who are next to us (inside our range)?

Same question for Beer cards.

Oh you can play the cards on anyone you wish. The only limit right now is how far you can shot another player.

Yes

Are Life Points only regained through Beer or other cards (and not every time someone dies?)
Life points only are regained through Beer or other cards that give you life.
Once the day ends you do not get your life point back to what they were from the start of the day.

When new cards are dealt, are the old cards discarded?

I deal you new action/card based on how many cards/action you use in the day. If there is an action/card you don't want you can ask to discard one card per day to gain a new card at the start of the new day.
In short you will have 4 card. If you use 2 cards during the day I will give you 2 new cards and you still will have your other 2 cards you didn't use as your action.

I will fix it. I was trying to be coy in bullets but I realize it can be confuse.
The correct answer is the bullets you start with is how many you start with each day.

Randomly or did you not notice I just put everyone in alph order except the sheriff who should sit at the head of the table

Seriously if it happens I will give it to the player that shot first. With so many cards and actions in play the first person down to 0 life may still live.

Mod, is Kast confirmed town?

From wiki:

The object of the game is different for every role:

the Outlaws must kill the Sheriff;
the Sheriff and his Deputies must kill the Outlaws and the Renegade(s);
each Renegade's objective is to be the last character in play. The Renegade(s) must kill all the characters with the sheriff being the last one dead.

If you ever play this game there is typically 7 players. 2 deputies, 1 sheriff, 1 renegade and 3 outlaws. The only way for the outlaws to win is to kill the sherriff. Since the outlaws have a slight advantage they really don't in the card game as the outlaws have no clue who another outlaw is and sometimes to shot the sherriff for their win condition they have to shot thru others first.
As I said while promoting this game I took many things from the game and I also made a few tweeks for balance and fun.

To be clear, the slight advantage is that they know who each other are in this game?

What I mean here is that in the card game even though you would think the outlaws had a slight advantage to win, they do not know each other in the card game.
Now whether they know each other here or not is not for me to say.

Cards are dealt after a player is killed. Twighlight occurs were I will lock the game up and give you new actions/card. Any actions/cards not used stay with you the next day.

Also note I added rule #25

Back to my question, Farside, your answer confuses me. Is Kast actually confirmed town as sherrif? I know from playing enough of your games that no one is confirmed based on their role unless you say so.

In short yes.

Dr.Cyanide takes offense at Darox's shots. He dodges one and shoots back in return empting his gun.
He pulls a bang out and shots one last time.

I decided on review that the bang cards can be used on anyone anywhere on the table. In short if you have a bang card you could use it on someone across from you or anywhere in the table.

Imagine a player has 8 life points.
I say they are -1 that means they have 7 life points instead of 8. I hope this helps clarify things

On a side note each day you start with the number of bullets you had on day 1.
So if you shot a player day 1 and you had 5 bullets.
Day 2 you have 5 bullets. Consider it you reloaded your gun while the mod was getting everything organized.

The dynamite is now in front of DS. Also note that a roll of 1 and a 5 is all it takes to blow someone up. It doesn't matter if the first or the second die is the 1 or the 5. Just as long as those 2 numbers show.

In the actual game, players are limited in how many cards they have based on how much health they have. Does this limit come into effect in this game?

I did not include that in this game. I decided on 4 cards no matter what.

Also, beer cards become ineffective when there are only 2 players; is that rule in effect here?

Actually I was looking to do it sooner.

Also, question about the Whiskey card that McGriddle used. In the original rules printing, the card required discarding two cards in order to play. However, in the current game that rule was changed to mean play the Whiskey card and discard 1 card along with it. If we are playing by the current rules, then McGriddle should only have discarded 1 card, so my derringer should have taken a card from him. Are we using the current rules?

The card I sent said to discard 2 card so I went with the rules I posted on the card.

The jail cell is taken off of anna and given to EB. Where the sherrif decides to lock him up.

The players waited which seemed like days, but the mod being tired and having some RL issues delayed the inevitable.

Lord was shot with the four bullets first and hit the ground twitching.
He died on the spots and the remaining bullets hit the ground.

Appriecated easjo.

The sheriff kicks at easjo. The last of the outlaws was now done.

The sheriff see's and empty town and thinks this feels like a shallow win.

Easjo - outlaw - killed day 10.

So my views on this is that trying to kill the sherriff for the outlaws in the end proved very difficult. But as in Bang it typically is.
Easjo and McGriddle knew each other as outlaw but LordChronos didn't know who the outlaws were.
As for the random shots.
McGriddle and yawetag had the ability to one per day send an action via PM that would be used on another player in the game.
However most of the random shots were me just rolling a die and shooting.

After the first 4 days you can send a message through me that does not give your name, your character name or anything that would describe who you are to the mafia.
The message can be anything else but nothing that you said in the game currently. The message can only be 15 letters. After a player is killed you can send another message that is 20 letters long. Each twilight phase you can send some sort of message that does not give your identity away.

As you can see why I was so strongly against claims is via the roles I issued. I should have just made everyone a deputy but then I couldn't have given Kast the disadvantage.

I think things could've have the potential to turn out differently if there was some kind of turns system, but that would be pretty impossible to instate and it would literally make it Bang! on the forums as opposed to something between mafia and Bang!

I have to say I was really impressed with the scum this game. They lasted a long time without dying and if McG hadn't been caught the scum would have won hands down.
Doing the turns would have been near impossible. I thought about letting players only shot once per so many hours but I wanted a game that had lots of blood shed.

That said my next mini game will be "The Princess Bride". Anyone interested may pre/in. Not sure how long I will have to wait in the queue for my turn to come up. Considering the line and many not ready I give it a month at the most.

I don't think I would run something like this again. It was more difficult then I expected. All in all I wanted a quick and bloody game and I think that it was acheived.
Also EB you were the one to figure out the cards and certain players like McG who didn't seem to use all his actions on certain days. I think it helped you a bit there.
