I believe that update is happening sometime today. Also, notch has said beds are in the next update. From the few sources I have seen, he eventually wants to make beds a respawn point. No word from notch's blog on that though.
EDIT: OOOO, auto-login feature with the new launcher... I like!

Ok, UA, can you see what is going on with me in particular? I haven't been able to play for the past week due to severe lag or the world not populating around me when i first log in, making it where i fall forever.

Forgot to update on this: I figured out the problem, and I have no earthly idea why the hell this was causing so many problems, but I had to cut the limit framereate option on. Pie, try that.

My house was flooded, along with my mine, and the start of my train station was flooded. Also, I lost my second double chest and everything that was in it from my house.

Really, I think it would go without saying, but ask before digging so close to someone´s else place! It is not that hard. I probably wouldn´t have minded, if the person would at least take the work to mine the sand by removing the dune in an orderly fashion instead of just digging the random trenches
That was me :/ I can probably fix that with sand from where I have decided to build my home. (To be truthful, I hadn't decided on where to build until after I had dug all the sand up.)

I would need stacks of 64 sand to finish what I started, plus some to smelt into glass. I will just hunt down something to finish my house that looks nicer than cobblestone.

Coordinates are x=321, z=-198. They've bee posted on the billboard as well. it's a straight stairway down to the farm, which can be farmed with 100% efficiency while afk. Also, you get to see the skeletons die .
Next step: build a shack around it to match the spider farm's.
What did you change to get it working right?

A section of the stairs leading up from the skeleton grinder thing has been messed with also. I also don't know how high a creeper explosion can go, but it destroyed about 16 - 20 blocks of glass, about 6 blocks high.

I had the energy, just didn't survive the trek over there. feel free to smelt some glass at my house, or take whatever is in the furnace. Can't remember if there is some in there or not.

I am here to report two things:
1. The skeleton farmer thing is repaired completely. You may now return to your bone and arrow collecting from it. This brings me to...
2. Unless there were multiple creepers down there, or an electrified one down there (dear god I don't want to see one of those coming at me), the skeleton trap was griefed. That is a 5x5 wall of glass in the trap, and 20 of the glass blocks had been destroyed.

Granted, the water might be shallow enough to not stop the explosion, but a creepers explosion is apparently 4x4x4, centered on it. Not impossible, but highly unlikely.
