Has anyone else tried using MineFactory Reloaded's Programmable RedNet Controller? I've managed to configure it for simple tasks, but for anything non-trivial it seems to be broken and almost impossible to 'debug'. Given that this was supposed to be the great replacement for RedPower's redstone logic I'm really annoyed. I think that using computers to control things is the only way forward, but as far as I know it's impossible to get a computer to reliably poll the state of a redstone signal every tick, so certain events might be missed.

(This is the reason I haven't been on the server this week -- I've been in creative swearing at the PRC.)

FYI: Proven grafters come from beekeeper villagers, just like proven frames, and they cost 2 emeralds each. Don't know how much longer they last then regular grafters but that is how to get them.

So to revise my previous posting:

P.S. Bronze ingot/grafter donations gladly accepted. Emerald/Proven Grafter donations also gladly accepted. Bones/Bonemeal donations gladly accepted (didn't realize we had bonemeal nerf in this modpack, and I'm not sure if forestry saplings are affected, but either way lots of bones makes treebreeding faster/easier). Anyone who thinks they might some day ask me for forestry wood or saplings are strongly encouraged to donate ;). Its a bit more difficult to do tree breeding in this modpack vs. dw20, so I'm probably not going to be giving out freebies to just anyone this time.

the launcher is forcing me to use 24a....

I noticed that for some reason the launcher isn't populating the drop down box with all the available versions anymore. Thankfully, mine is stuck on 23b - or at least it was the last time I got on the server.

SOME INSTRUCTIONS FOR MODDED SERVER FOLKS:


Before the server goes live with the MafiaCraft v1.1.0 update sometime soon

, you
MUST
remove all Forestry machines from all inventories, including your own player inventory. They
MUST
be placed in the world when the server updates to the new version of Forestry, or they
WILL
be lost and we will not replace them because you have now officially been given ample warning to counteract this issue.

For proof that I'm not just fucking with you look here right under the downloads box.

Forestry machines which
MUST
be removed from any inventory and placed in the world in block form:
  • Carpenters
  • Thermionic Fabricators
  • Moisteners
  • Squeezers
  • MultiFarm-related Blocks (though I doubt this is an issue)
  • Biogas Engines
  • Peat-fired Engines
  • Clockwork Engines
  • Fermenters
  • Stills
  • Bee Houses
  • Apiaries
  • Alveary-related Blocks (ditto MultiFarms)
If you would like an Admin to perform the required legwork because of V/LA to the FTB Modded Server (@ETL?) just PM me, Klaz, or izak (or preferably all three) with the coordinates of your respective storage system(s) and we'll steal your shit and place it in fun places all around your base(s). <3

^^ thats a weird bug.

Does sometime soon mean in the next few hours? or...? Because I'm at work and won't be able to log into the server until later this evening. I have 4 apiaries but pretty sure they're currently in my player inventory.

IMO, the server shouldn't update until a significant amount of people have been able to take the steps to solve the above problem, plus during all the Modpack/Mod authorship discussions of late, compiling the server-side pack from an MCPC perspective got pushed to the wayside.

I'm gonna remedy this tonight before and after work (shouldn't take long, I already have everything and I just need to make sure it doesn't blow up) but in the mean time I'd say around 24 hours too, depending on how many people can log on and take the steps described above.

Basically means texture packs are now "resource packs" and can have sounds and music and other cool stuff. It's kind of a step towards the mod API.

Also, Mojang made a tool to automatically update your texture packs.
(Mostly) on hiatus until further notice. Planet MafiaScum 2 will be modded by Inspi and JDGA - go check it out!
