Izak, well I suppose I can always just explore until I find just the right location with a spawner and NPC village nearby and build around it, but........ I didn't really mean for it to be a challenge per se, just basically flavor.

Well I have found a zombie spawner. Its actually the only spawner I've ever found. But its not in a really good place to build The Hive. And to make a village from scratch, don't I have to minecart some villagers from another village? Or has that changed since I've last played?

Rhinox, that's currently how you do it. But in 1.4.1 some randomly spawned zombies will be villager zombies, which can be "cured" with a weakness potion and a lower-tier golden apple, turning them into a random villager. That may be faster if you're a long way from a village.

It's not a troll hole. Look down from the hill on the right. The area is fairly frequently traversed, and I didn't want people finding it by accident.
(unless the coords are derped, in which case I can PM you a screenie)

1- Awesome costume!
2- I'm not too big on putting player-requested spawners, or using wither heads as prizes
3- On the other hand, some simpler mob eggs (zombie/village eggs? no creepers) could be a nice prize.

If what I read last night about Villagers and Villager Eggs is true, they will not spawn the shitty Green Villager - you'll get a random Farmer/Priest/Blacksmith like you would in a regularly-spawned Village. That being said, I'm not sure if they would despawn like tamed animals if you left their chunk. I'll look into it...if they stay that would definitely be a good, clean way to "create" a Village in a target location, so that prize would probably be very useful to Rhinox.
I'd have no idea what to do with them, besides lock them up in a Haunted House-type building and wait for them to be infected for massive amounts of fun, but I'd love some Villager Eggs.
Great idea for a prize IMO.
Even if they're Zombies instead...hey! That's not really a destructive prank, right?
Possible Iron drops and almost-guaranteed Rotten Flesh profit! Hooray!

Also if those "cosmetic changes" that Grimm was doing were what Klaz and I bore witness to the other night, the Glass Maze in Vineland is definitely operable.
Not sure if the changes that we saw were reversed or if he made others, though. Always a possibility.
