Well, one possible answer would be that, for balance reasons and to prevent game-breaking mass claims, the most obvious roles in a theme game are often not in the game at all and given as safe claims to the scum, especally in a theme with specific and obvious "main characters".

I considered that, but it seems clear from the flavor that FL was very enthusiastic about making this setup, so I'd find it odd if she didn't include main characters. Like, I could see a DBZ game not including Goku or something, but this looks more like a pet project than a normal theme game. Sort of a "what if" game, if you understand me.

Why aren't we pressuring SP? His post restriction seems to make it close to impossible to communicate effectively. I find it more likely that a really severe PR is faked.
Also, I don't think MM denied placing the L-1 vote after I mentioned it. Then he says he was aware of the VC. So why did he call for a claim if he knew it was not L-1?

I just expected that Sera's daykill required him to post in-thread, because otherwise he could have PMed FL or whatever and done his kill secretly. Then he wouldn't have had to claim, and could have conceivably tried to draw an NK or something. I didn't think he would have done it openly if he could have done it secretly.
And I don't think the killer should claim because we already have a lot of role info released. Sera, Chaco, the dead Boxmand and Sociopath. Plus we will probably wind up extracting at least one more claim from someone in the normal lynch process.

Basically, MM voted Chaco. I thought this was the L-1 vote and said so. MM agreed and asked for a claim. Later it transpired that MM's vote was actually L-2. MM then posted that he was aware his vote was L-2, contradicting his earlier post saying his vote was L-1. I called him on it. Then the daykill happened and I got kind of distracted >_>

I can't really comment on Snow's attack on MM. As I said I have zero knowledge of flavor outside scanning Wikipedia a bit, and I heavily doubt FL would make a game where flavor could essentially break the game via massclaim. I do feel MM's response was overly combative, but I just finished a game where he played similarly and was lynched D1 as the cop, so it's hard for me to judge whether MM's response was due to scumminess or playstyle.

My claim makes no sense as scum. I could easily have claimed a weak info role who targeted Vi. Instead I denied SB's claim and put myself way out there for no benefit. I would not be surprised if SB was indeed a scum watcher- just like War in Heaven II.

I have to get cult lynched today to win, then try to kill off mafia as they kill town. Lynching cult is the only way to pull off a non-mafia win. I think there's 2 power role mafiates, 2 cult (recruiter jah and whoever his recruit is) plus me, SK. I assume the mafia controls the daykills. If we lynch Jah today cult can't win, mafia kills town, and we go into tomorrow with 2 mafia, 3 town (one culted), and me. It'll be hard for me to win but lynching Jah is the best play for me, town, and mafia- all three non-cult factions will lose if Jah recruits again tonight. He needs to get lynched. Likely then mafia NKs town, mafia gets lynched, and we all take our chances in endgame, otherwise cult wins.

Just to outline it for town: I'm the least dangerous antitown faction. The cult grows each night and wins (I assume) when it controls half the vote. If I'm right and Jah recruited once already, he wins tomorrow unless we lynch him, as he'lll have 3 out of 5 alive. Mafia wins when it controls the vote, and I'm pretty sure there's 2 of them, so they win when there's 4 alive (again assuming the same control the vote wincon). I can only when when everyone is dead and I am still alive, meaning the town can afford to lynch jah, then mafia, then me without jeopardizing its win condition.

It's quite obvious now that you're cult; you confessed to being cult when you thought we'd lynch Cobalt instead of you if you confessed, but when you realized you were about to get lynched, you retracted it. I have enough confidence in you as a player to believe you would not do something as absurd as claim cult as town in response to someone claiming a guilty on you.

On the other hand, I don't really believe Cobalt either, although his claim is more likely then yours. I'm glad I got him to confess being scum, but I think a mafia member in his position would claim SK to try to avoid being lynched today. I suspect that we're dealing with a 2 man scum group here with a nightkill that also had a one-shot daykill, and that that group is Cobalt and probably Slicey.

I don't think we have a 3 man mafia group, though. If we did, Jahudo the cult leader would have been speedlynched by now. And, if there's a two man scum group+ a cult recruiter, or else a SK and a cult recruiter, out best bet is to lynch the cult recruiter today; if he lives until tonight, then he gets to recruit someone else before he dies, and that's a headache we don't need.

So, I think the right thing to do here is to lynch Jahudo, the cult recruiter. After he's gone, we'll probably be in a 5 player endgame with 2 mafia, but that's better then having one more townie get recruited tonight and then having to track down and find that guy later, that's just a huge pain in the tush.

I liked the game although I think I would have played better if I hadn't lost access and broken my concentration. IMO giving me untargetable was a bit silly with several powerful town roles that could ignore it.

Two roles. And they didn't ignore it, it's just the way their abilities worked didn't actually target you. And hell, the watcher just got extremely lucky. I really didn't expect pretty much every power role to target the same person.
