I think that you could have if you knew what a character was like. (Which you can find out via the wiki, as I did before I changed my mind the first time on joining.)
For example, Sha-Ming is focused on self-preservation, meaning that choosing him would mean that you'd get an ability that's to do with survival. Meanwhile, Raqio is highly logical, meaning that choosing them would mean that you'd get an ability to do with logic.

I think there's a difference between being nai and having a vague resemblance to how freedom plays as town. I feel like if I look at freedom's completed games I will see they always ask a lot of questions but in their town game there will also be some actual thought behind them. I don't think freedom should be allowed to survive this day phase without a substantial improvement in their play. Looking back through their posts, I can find no reason-not a single reason-to think the slot freedom replaced into is town.

We are in good position. We managed to get an uncontested cop claim through on day 1, and we can proceed to game solve using the Follow-the-Cop strategy.

Executing Enchant would be a low risk, low reward move I think, as he's likely a VT with a off chance of traitor, probably not groupscum, and certainly not Bug.

I think the key factor about claiming in this game is how well scum can CC. That said, with the way that invest was handled, anti-town would need to double-down on coroner, and with an uncountered cop, that's sortable. Masons can claim when they feel like it, since that can't be counter-claimed anyway. So now that I'm thinking about it, it's probably better if we get coroner to come out before maf can coordinate.

From my POV, there's 11 suspects and 5 of them are scum. Like, 45% of you are evil. If Coroner claim and somehow not CCed, then 10 suspects and 50% evil. If GD both claim: 8 people, 70% evil. With Engineer alive it not really hurt to not know alignment of who die. Let me demonstrate.


If Town/AC Follower die, Coroner will see them as Innocent (i think?). Engineer as well checks them as Innocent.
Bug can only die due elimination or Engineering. Idk if Coroner will see that (most likely not, i will clarify). Important that Bug can't be healed from being engineered and shows as Innocent to Engineer. You prob ask "wdm" but yep, Engineer sees Bug as Innocent and then kills them like strongman.
Gnosia will not kill self. Probably. Idk? Both Coroner and Engineer will see them as Evil.

Coroner is worse counterpart for Engineer. Only difference is that he can check only dead and can't do anything to bug.

TLDR: Coroner can claim. Just don't expect him to be healed.

Usage of role was town-appearing, but justification feels lackluster.

Avoided voting anyone until after Enchant retracted, where he voted Enchant. In spite of stating he believes Enchant is town, keeps his vote on Enchant. His justification's poor, as optimal elims are bug/groupscum who he states Enchant isn't.

Working on this has made me remember why I don't do this anymore and how much I dislike doing it (and also how draining it is). My pace is about a paragraph an hour between re-reading, cross-referencing posts to see what they meant in context of when they were posted, and writing, and I'm not even done the ISO for the first player in my list. Ugh.

So I'm just gonna claim. VT, character is the unnamed Protag (specifically The Player). Ability is Self-Learning, which really just means I'm a universal character ability backup. It's for the first player who dies, so normally the first elim, but if we go to deadline with a draw, I'd inherit the skill of the first player to get NK'd instead. Since most abilities are likely at night anyway, I wouldn't really be adding any extra shots to the pool unless no elim D1 AND somehow no NK N1, so losing this N1 really isn't a big deal imo, since it just guarantees that whoever the first player to get eliminated is still gets their ability in the game. Also could be used to verify a character ability claim, but I think that boat has sailed. All in all as Day 1 miselims go mine's pretty safe.

I'll keep working on my detailed ISO list until bed, then when I get up and during my breaks at work tomorrow, assuming I'm still alive. I don't know how helpful this is going to be, though, but I'll keep working on it.

Based on my understanding of the setup what FakeGod is saying makes the most sense to me but I townread Roden more than FakeGod, so I’ll trust him more on that.

1. Jada was GA. Gnosia have some way to learn identity of dead players instantly or was sure enough about it to attack NK15 instantly. Most likely from specials.
2. GA decided to gambit. Rookie mistake. But why Gnosia attack then? Did they knew about gambit?

Mainly those in that bottom section need to use their abilities sooner rather than later.
