We are standing in front of Trump Towers, the biggest and most successful buildings in Las Vegas! I have in front of me 16 of the smartest and most qualified people who are all competing in this 13 week job interview to become my Apprentice.

I have arranged them into two teams on the basis of age and ensured that each team has a mixture of genders. With age comes experience yet the young ones may have a creative edge. Who will triumph?

Here was the Young Team's presentation:

In choosing a name, we decided to go with something that really puts forth the image of innocence and purity. It is with this in mind that we have chosen the name Virgo; symbolizing our youthfulness as well as aforementioned characteristics.

Our logo was created to emphasize our creativity, as well as really implanting the Virgo brand in the minds of the consumers.

Good morning, Mr. Trump. It is my honour as Project Manager for my team to present to you our new team name and logo.

Mr. Trump, I introduce you to the STILL KICKING MOB!

Some of our competitors may have mistaken our experience in this industry as feebleness, seen the wisdom on our face as merely wrinkles. Those are the fools who will find themselves choking down the cold hard reality of our foot down their throat. A team of our caliber is one to be feared. We aren't just running this competition, we're taking out the trash, one curbstomp at a time.

The other team is going to find out real fast that we aren't just alive; we're still kicking.

Carolyn thought that the young team put a lot of thought put into the name and that their logo was really well made. She thought that while the old team's logo was more complicated by virtue of it being animated, it wasn't as effective and was a little garish. She thought Virgo won.

George however, while he liked the name Virgo over Still Kicking Mob, he absolutely hated the "pixelated childish" logo that he thought they came up with and thought it was so bad that Still Kicking Mob deserved to win.

In the end, I decided to side with

Virgo

simply because as a corporate name, it is much simpler and to the point. In addition, their logo can easily be shrunk down and emblazoned everywhere. While I commend the animated effort from Still Kicking Mob, the final frame of their animation which I take to represent their logo is simply just text and is not as versatile and recognizable.

In this case, the final concept and logo were authorized by the Project Manager and thus the blame rests with him. While I hate people who do not take initiative and contribute, the Project Manager should alsomake a more proactive effort in trying to get everyone to contribute. Lastly, I recognize that you are about to have other commitments in a week or so and thus cannot commit to this game.

I am in here because I am the "leak", which is kinda true seeing as how JD was smart enough to find my deviantART account where i had uploaded the banner, for it was the only free place to do it.

The point is brainstorming is to get ideas out on the table, good or bad. As project manager, isn't it your job to weed out those bad ideas? Also, the main point of this task was not the slogan, albeit it did contribute to your loss, but advertising, which is how the other team won.

Eagle Eye

tripled pickemgenius' profit of $316.38, doubled Panzerjager's profit of $285.10, and gained $269.93 from JDodge and $234.50 from SensFan for a total of $2023.77.

Virgo

tripled animorpherv1's profit of $5, doubled dahill1's profit of $7.28, and Max sold $78.28 while pacman sold $70.96 for a total of $178.66.


This task was a complete blowout, much huger than the last one. Not only did Eagle Eye outsell you after two weeks of losing, they outsold you by 11 times. It appears that JDodge is an effective Project Manager.

Well, let's just get straight to the results this week as I'm sure you guys already suspect them.

Eagle Eye correctly answered 15.555... minutes netting them 2 points.
They also saw that four was half of f(iv)e bringing their total to 4.
They said athletes played for both Japan and Finland in the 1988 Olympics which is close enough to musicians to bring them up to 6 points.
However, they thought that C represented 14 in hexadecimal, when it represents 12, causing them to miss that there are 114 cápitulos in el Coran (that riddle was the most googleable too.. netting 6,980 results in quotations).
They have 6 points, a possible 8 based on whether their answer of a second uterus causing twins to be born two months apart is accepted over the fact that the town was named March or June.

Virgo correctly got Survivor, netting them 6 points.
They got potato and that Jack and Jane were goldfish and the water evaporated, bringing their total up to 12 points.
They submitted money for the the second question, which fits the clue and probably would be accepted as well as Eagle Eye's answer of hooker.

However, it is irrelevant as they have enough points! Virgo, congrats on your victory! Eagle Eye, I will be seeing you in the Boardroom where someone will be fired.

The fifth criteria will be a paragraph or short essay, no more than 500 words, that effectively argues why your team of two should become the final two of the Apprentice. The team with the better argument and writing will win this part of the task.

Throughout the entire competition, both Cay and I have worked extremely hard to get to where we are; as the star performers on Eagle Eye for most of the interview process, we single-handedly kept the team from getting completely demoralized by our repeated losses week after week. Together, we have a 3-0 record as project managers, as opposed to the 2-2 combined record of our opponents. Leadership is an important quality in the business world, and I believe we have shown our excellence in this category.

Why We Are The Perfect Team.

As we enter into the final 4 of this year’s Apprentice, I am here to tell you why we are the better halve of the four remaining candidates.

Right from week 1, + was making his mark, being considered the best teammate by the project manager in week 1. Not satisfied with just that + stepped up to the plate as Project Manager in week 2. Not only did we as a team make a better, more businesslike presentation, we also won the task. +’s leadership skills were described as “Confident, commanding and just damn good. “ This week Crywolf had failed and was brought into the boardroom, being accused of leaking information to the other team. In the end, it came down to who was lying, Crywolf or JDodge. This incident ultimately remains unresolved.

Week 4 and 5 saw Porochaz replace in and step up to the plate as dahills second in command then as project manager. He gave a lot of suggestions for the riddles and devised the idea of putting the riddles in a different language, an idea which contributed greatly to winning the task. + later solved at least two of the riddles. The teamwork we displayed in this task helped us trounce the opposition. In Task 5, Porochaz considered + as his greatest asset. He searched through the most cards and made a comprehensive list which allowed an easy win. Through teamwork, we found all the cards and got everyone building at the optimum times.

Porochaz once again proved his worth by being the picker for his team and single handedly provided the final product for his team, once again winning the task, showing dedication. It should be noted here that comparing wins for all the tasks thus far, both + and Porochaz notched up 5 wins out of 6 of the tasks, whilst JDodge has 3 and Crywolf with only 1.

Task 7 was a loss but this should no way be construed as a loss for +. Out of thirteen images, + discovered 11 of them, with Porochaz and Dahill discovering 1 more. This task was an easy win for us if the PM had done his job properly.

In week 9 and 10, both Porochaz and Eteo were PM’s respectively. Week 9, Porochaz created the event and photos going along with it by himself, despite the disadvantage of working alone, his work resulted in a draw between the two teams. + marked the third time as PM by winning double what the other team got at auction.

Porochaz and + should go through to the final, with 6 wins under their belts compared to JDodge’s 5 and Crywolfs 3, they have also shown honesty, integrity and good teamworking skills throughout the tasks, which as can be seen can’t be said about the other team. Both of us believe that we have the skills to be the apprentice and we both feel that we have proved it.

Hello and congratulations Final 2! Your final task is straightforward. Social networking has been the new big thing on the web. Facebook, a small startup as of three years ago, was worth 1.5 billion dollars in only 2 years. Myspace used to be the 6th most visited site and is still popular today. Successful websites like Twitter and search engines like Google and Yahoo all have some element of a social feature.

Your job will be to design your own website that has some element of social networking. It does not need to be the main focus, but it should be a component.

You will be graded on SEVEN aspects:
-Concept of the site: How original is it? Does the idea of it sound appealing?
-Logistics of the site: Is it simple to get around and easy to use?
-Visual appeal of the site: Does it look good?
-Presentation of the site: You will also send me a short presentation along with the link. Who presented better?
-Marketing of the site: Please include a marketing plan as a separate part of your presentation or have it on the site somewhere. Who has the better marketing plan?
