In other words you want to turn survivor into... well... MS...AndyTony wrote:I don't think it's truly a raw show about survival of the fittest until the network allows people to die/be killed....
And at least one camera man must be eaten.
Then it's got my attention when I pick up the remote. And only then. lol
Good call.-

This hasn't been my experience and I'm in at least 4 running games if not more at any given time. People who think the RVS is useless also think mafia is SUCH SRS BSNS. They're also anti-conformists and the problem with anti-conformists is this: If you consistently move in the opposite direction of the herd, then the herd is still dictating your movements.AndyTony wrote:it's becoming rather trendy for peopl not to be too big fans of it.
Policy-lynch one or two of them fuckers and they'll fall right in line.-

Whether or not policy lynches are useful is a matter of debate -- and an endless one at that. Wait until I'm actually targeting someone in specific before jumping down my throat for it.
As for your first comment (the multi-posting comment): People would have to be doing some actual scum hunting in order for me to "appear" active and actually not be contributing. Point in fact, nobody is contributing right now.
Either way I'm glad someone is giving you scum fodder. Someone has to stick their neck out -- might as well be me.-

OccamR: AndyTony is just being AndyTony. Everyone scumhunts in their own way. He seems to have the basic principle down though: A) Find sharp stick, B) poke
Seems to be what you're doing to me right now. You're making long leaps to "hohum is looking for a policy lynch"AndyTony wrote: looking for clever ways to lynch a player by twisting what they say and manufacturing scum out of them
Also,
I'd prefer if you'd make an effort to lynch scum for us, instead of sniping at people over game theory.AndyTony wrote: I'd prefer it if you'd make an effort to lynch scum for us, rather than hunt a lynch
Why not chill for a minute and give people a chance to show up?-

I don't like the fact that you couldn't be bothered to read 5 pages. You could have probably gotten yourself caught up in little more than the amount of time it took you to post that.Pitstop wrote:I'm finally here to perhaps follow along with the thread, but I'm going to bed in a few and will be out all day tomorrow .
I will catch up and read back tomorrow night if I get a chance, just don't go lynching me :p-

A) You're making a big leap from making lists of reasons to lynch people to actually planning their lynch, especially considering I've never actually brought up any negative points on him.
B) You could lump almost anything into theory conversation. You're hunting for reasons to find me scummy because I took some early shots at you.
C) I've never seen anyone post a case and then UNVOTE that person before. That's sort of a strange move. Do you not care who gets lynched and why?-

No, I don't have a problem with tossing my vote around. I never do. And yes, I keep running lists of reasons to vote people in EVERY SINGLE GAME I'M IN.
It's called taking notes based on observations.
I'm not judging him based on anything. You seem t have missed this:
I don't see ANYONE advocating lynching him right now. All I see is you defending a lynch which is not actually taking place. Your reactionary stance on a potential Zer0 wagon is very scummy, and REEKS of defending.hohum wrote: especially considering I've never actually brought up any negative points on him.-

If you seriously think anyone is going to get anywhere near lynch because of their meta, then the joke is on you, my friend. That doesn't mean we're not allowed to sit here and talk about him while he sits idle refusing to contribute. You're trying to impede a conversation -- that's about all you're doing.-

MS was pretty fail when I was composing that message. It obviously posted every draft I went through.
It started as a harshly worded post, with a vote and then I thought about it some more and tried to back it off a great deal. I eventually came to the conclusion that it wasn't worth a vote.
Unvotebut IGMYOU anyways.-

I suggested no such thing. I simply went along with the pack. I don't know if it's true or not but since we're not under deadline and she's in no immediate danger of being lynched right now (the scum would have hammered a long time ago) I figured I would throw my vote around for a little while to provoke reactions out of people. The Wiki Article wrote:It is simply a player suggesting that since the majority believes it, it must be true.
BTW arguing semantics or resorting to meta (especially the wiki, as some articles are a bit misleading) is in exceedingly poor taste.-

Again:
He was in no danger of being lynched. Your reaction is certainly telling, and I've made a note of it accordingly.
The wiki is intended to be a guide for newbies, not Mafia doctrine. The vast majority of the articles on the wiki are user-maintained, some are out dated and some are just plain wrong.
My vote is my only tool. I will use it as I see fit.-

You said it best yourself:Alduskkel wrote: That's not what "L-1" means
You're talking in absolutes again like it's a rule set in stone. It isn't, so stop it.Alduskkel wrote: put Cephrir at L-1 when we don't have all our replacements
There was literally 0 activity in the thread when I voted. It would have been fucking stupid and obvious if scum would have suddenly reappeared at that moment to drop the hammer. If that would have been the case then I certainly wouldn't have had a problem losing Cephrir in order to out scum.
Why do you assume that when I take notations of anything that it's bad?Alduskkel wrote:If you're thinking a scum pair between me and Cephrir, let me point out that I unvoted because we didn't (and still don't) have all our replacements here.

In my experience, when someone hammers out of left field, it's scum doing the wielding. There's a well established procedure for bringing a wagon to lynch which the vast majority of players on MS follow to the T. Only newbie scum that make this mistake.
This defies Occam's Razor (paraphrased): The simplest explanation is usually the most correct. There's a fair bit of WIFOM in your own logic in that you're trying to out-guess the scum team.Alduskkel wrote: don't think it would have been as obvious as you think. Scum aren't going to just come in here and say "I agree with the case on Cephrir." and hammer him, they're going to post an elaborate post ending with a hammer so that it doesn't look as bad. And let's not forget the WIFOM they could play. ("Well, if it was so scummy then scum wouldn't do it!")-
