General Rules
Do not discuss the game outside of the game thread unless your role specifically allows it. You
will
be modkilled for violation.
Do not quote any messages received from the Moderator. You
will
be modkilled for violation. However, you are allowed to paraphrase PMs.
Despite popular belief, Moderators
are
human, and
do
make mistakes! If you notice a mistake the Moderator has made, either PM the Moderator or bold it in the thread:
Mod: I voted for player X, not player Y
.
Modcolor is
dark red
. Do not use it.
Voting, Lynching, and Death
Votes
must
be bolded:
vote: yawetag
.
Unvoting is required, and must be bolded:
unvote
or
unvote, vote: yawetag
. It is not required to give the player you are removing the vote from.
No lynches are allowed:
vote: no lynch
.
Lynches occur when a player receives a number of votes equal to half of the remaining players, plus one, rounding down:
L = rounddown(P/2 + 1)
, where P = number of players left.
At deadline, a player is lynched if the number of votes equal half of the required amount, rounding down: (
DLL = round(L/2)
. This rule does not apply if the number of players alive is 7 or less. In case of a tie, the player that received the number of votes first will be lynched.
When the lynch count has been reached, twilight will immediately begin. During twilight, any alive players (this does not include the one being lynched) may post until the game reaches night. No vote changes will be allowed once the game enters twilight.
Lynched or killed players are allowed one "bah" post. The player may also state "go <alignment>," but no other content will be allowed.
Roles of the lynched or killed players will be revealed upon death.
Activity
When you signed up to play the game, you agreed to commit your time to the game. That commitment is expected to continue through the duration of the game.
Players that do not post for 4 days will be prodded. The player will then have 48 hours to respond before being replaced. V/LA posts in the thread or by PM will be allowed and will prevent replacement.
Day phases will have a deadline of days equal to twice the number of players alive, plus two:
DL = (P*2) + 2
, where P = number of players left.
Night phases will have a set 96-hour deadline. After all night actions are received, the Moderator will randomly wait between 1 and 24 hours (not to exceed the deadline) to start the next day. This is used to mask the presence of Power Roles.
Deadlines are straight time limits. Weekends and holidays count as much as other days. That said, the Moderator will attempt to keep deadlines from falling on major holidays, usually by extending the deadline by a day or two.
Conduct and Language
Remember, this is a game. Play nice to others.
Profanity is allowed, but in moderation. Warnings will be given when profanity is used toward other players, or when the Moderator feels a post goes past "moderation."
Moderator Duties
The Moderator will keep an updated vote count on the first post, as well as a current vote count near the top of each page. Players may request an updated vote count at any time.
All Moderator requests will be answered within 24 hours, usually much quicker.

Obviously, the roles have been sent out. The game will begin after everyone confirms.

Since it says they joined the site today, I'm guessing they simply didn't understand how the site works. Don't worry TtotheY, no big deal, though you won't be able to participate in this specific game.
In order to join a game on the site you'll have to go into the queue forum. There are several threads there that govern the subscriptions to various types of games - mini games, normal games, theme games etc. You go into the thread you wish, read the subscription rules and reply in said thread with "/in". In some threads you'll sign up for a specific game, in others you'll just sign up in general and will be put in the next game of the type when a new one appears.
If this is your first time playing mafia online, it is highly recommended that you first sign up for a newbie game. Even if you have played mafia online before but on different forums, it is still recommended that you sign up for a newbie game, just to get a feel of how games are played on this site.
I'm giving MadCrawdad 24 hours to join before looking for a replacement.

Can we start posting until you find his replacement? He isn't going to miss much quite likely.
I will open the game when I decide a replacement is necessary.
