First things first: HURTING RANDOMLY IS BAD HOLY HELL LET'S NOT DO THAT.

I'm trying to figure out if the vote-to-hurt method is a good idea, though. We know that everyone can hurt in secret, but that makes me wonder what the scum's bonus powers are in this game. It could be as simple as more hp and damage, but I rather doubt it.

Almighty, does this game contain similar roles as the last ones (seraphim / ophanim / erelim / cherubim)? Or did you choose to leave roles private this time around?

Also, if we assume everyone has ~11 HP, as the sample role PM does, then it will take at least 48 hours to lynch anyone at the beginning of the game. If we lynch incorrectly, assuming scum is using their Rage effectively, Town players will be missing much more health than scum players.

We need to publicly announce when we use rage. Anyone who uses rage in secret is anti-town and will be treated as such.

Lord, can we call to use a rage point from in-thread?

If we can do that, we're actually able to kill someone in a day, if I'm understanding cooldowns correctly.

This is true. However, it is also of significantly lesser consequence than

allowing scum to be able to secretly kill someone

, especially if we're letting town players get away with doing the same thing. I don't remember which past WiH it was (I think it was the completed large theme), but in mid-game, the scum basically went on a killing spree using rage, because there were so many town players who were at middling health, because town had been hurting each other willy-nilly. The same situation will occur here if we allow people to rage willy-nilly.

Rage gets claimed publicly. Period.

1- I really don't see how you think Matt disappeared after pressure hopped on him. He responded to people voting for him and calling him scummy, then people discussed other things, and that's when he disappeared. That's aside from the simple fact that being away from MS for a few hours (even immediately following a heated discussion concerning oneself) is not an alignment tell at all. Being gone for a couple of days? That I'd buy as a scumtell. A few hours, no way no how.

After the re-read while doing the votecount, I got significantly stronger scumvibes from ABR than matt. MattP seems to be coming from a sincerely frustrated perspective; I don't think I've seen Matt's play as a frustrated scum, but I don't know if he would fight back as hard as he has been if he was scum here. ABR, on the other hand, is being illogical and anti-town. What really convinced me on him, though, was his post immediately before my votecount. "MattP is top player. He's not someone to take lightly." The appeal to fear there is scummy as fuck.

Zdenek, my reads have been wobbly/changy as of late because I haven't been able to consistently post like I was at the beginning. Like I mentioned to Kinetic at the beginning of the game when he complained about all the posting going on, I play much more effectively when I can post concisely and often, and I haven't been able to the past couple of weeks.
