Although it would make kind of a sticky situation in lylo if two people are at L-1 (I'm thinking 3p lylo here). But there's a benefit in that scum wouldn't be able to safely quickhammer.

Just had a question for Nik...excellent plan to flush out who took your item; however, why would scum care about whether anyone knew they had the double-voting item (which I assume is the Amulet of Gatos?)? Scum could claim they did not know whether or not you were town and claim they were town as well...and leery of giving such a powerful item to someone they were unsure of. Same if it was town who stole and released the item. Just trying to figure out the logic behind why the DV item was stolen and returned. Any other thoughts on this question would be welcome. Seems like the game is set on sloooooooow so the more thinking things out the better.

I asked everyone whether or not they had stolen from me. Nobody confessed when I asked, meaning the thief was scum. When the amulet was dropped, that was just more confirmation of that fact. The flavour I was given with the stealing event also pointed to the thief being scum, not to mention it stopped me from sleeping when I was stolen from.
In addition to that, do you remember that Burlap Sack that M=W dropped? I got it, and it contained two Potions of Great Rejuvenation, the items that farside had.

Who's up for a massclaim? I'm willing to pass of the potions to a townie with a more powerful item than mine. I'd like for Kenman to start.

Pittbunny: I believe that Mew was the thief. The Burlap Sack contained farside's potions, which farside had claimed she used to protect herself and prevent a kill. Furthermore, there are two potions in the sack, meaning that Mew never used a potion. If he was sitting around and doing nothing, why not use the potions to get rid of them? It's because he was busy stealing items from other people. On top of that, I now believe that he wasn't just stealing items - he was stealing sleep from his targets as well. You can't really argue that he was making the kills, because if so he would have dropped a killing item. The argument that he passed his killing instrument along does not work, either. After all, why would he keep an item that weighs nothing while passing on a weapon?
Any way you look at it, Mew was the thief.

Right now, I'd say I'm most suspicious of Kenman and VV. Kenman says that the quickhammer on Mew clears him, but that is not the case. On the contrary, Mew didn't have an item to use in a claim. And if he had claimed the thief function, not only would he be very likely scum, but it would mostly clear me. I think that's what Kenman was trying to prevent with his quickhammer.

What say you Nik? With Rejuvenation, Double-voting, and what I think is the ability to steal....you sir are a very powerful player (which makes me wonder why scum has avoided you). If the Burlap Bag does not enable stealing are you saying Me=W either had an inherent ability to steal (which I doubt) or that he possessed an additional item which did not drop when he was lynched? Can someone else borrow the Burlap Bag to see if it has the ability to steal?

I just got the potions today (which I'm keeping to use tonight probably, since I don't have a night action anyway), and the bag doesn't have the ability to steal. All I had until today was a double vote.
My hypothesis is that Mew had an ability to steal items. Along that line of thinking, it's possible that the other scum have abilities like that as well. That's why I said what I said about my amulet.

Well I thought I was really obviously scum by the way I kept saying over and over that Kenman was scum and never actually pushing for his lynch. I also completely "forgot" that VV was supposed to be my second highest suspect after Kenman.

This is another great example of why mafia double voters should never be used. Even though I was a traitor, it was really easy for me to get recruited.

1. What did you guys think of the Sleep Cycle? I thought it didn't do too bad, but I definitely need to modify it so I don't have to run 6-day deadlines (I hate deadlines that short). Additionally, I need to give the Mafia at least one shot at avoiding sleep deprivation, or else UK's plan to force everyone to sleep at night would've short-changed the Mafia and the SK.

I thought it was interesting, but yeah, the sleep plans would have murdered us mafia.
The Potions of Great Alertness would have been an awesome scum item.
I think it would be a good idea to have an SK with a polyphasic sleep schedule (like the Uberman), and don't tell anyone that he was sleeping for a real-life day every four days. Of course, you wouldn't need this with a Deep South setup.

UK: You thought I was scum because I claimed to have slept at night? Of all the obviously scummy things I had done (like abandoning the sleep schedule planning once you had died), I didn't think THAT was something that would have gotten me pegged as 'obvscum'.
