Also...Pitt...I don't tend to pay a lot of attention to flavor. Can you highlight any parts of the flavor that may be giving you indications of player's alignments or are in any way confirming any of the events in the game so far (other than lynches of course)? If there is benefit in pouring over the flavor then I have been negligent. At the same time...I don't want to analyze the flavor if it's not going to benefit scum hunting.

I might get slammed by SK for this, but sure:

I followed slightly behind a group consisting of Rachella, Hyperion, and Ferdinand, leaning on Hyperion's shoulder. We were heading in the direction of the nearby forest.

"There's something I don't quite understand, though," Rachella was saying. "People kept bringing up this necromancy book you were supposed to have, Ferdinand, but when we searched your stuff we weren't able to find it. So what the daemon happened to it?" A thoughtful look came into her eyes. "Hey, what if you used that necromancy book to raise yourself from the dead?"

Ferdinand stared at her incredulously. "Ahre you sehriyous?"

"He was dead, stupid," Hyperion pointed out. "How in the name of hot sex do you bring yourself back to life after you're dead?"

"Supernaturally!" Rachella exclaimed. "You know, I had this dream once about some random person who got nailed to a tree and died, and three days later brought himself back to life..."

"You aren't on illicit narcotics again, are you?" Hyperion inquired bluntly.

"Hey!" Rachella protested. "I've been clean for quite some time now, thank you very much."

"Wehll," Ferdinand remarked, "sahmtimes weh wohnder..."

We came to a stop just outside the forest's edge and sat down, but now the thought of the missing necromancy book was running through my head. Thanks a lot, Rachella...

As I moved among the sorcerers debating over how yesterday's debacle had occurred I stubbed my toe on something. Looking down, I saw that a small amulet was lying on the ground. Curious, I picked it up and studied it. It was shaped like two equilateral triangles, joined together at the tip.

Rachella looked over my shoulder. "Whatcha got there?"

I shrugged and showed it to her. "Know what this is?"

A light came into her eyes. "I- I think I do. Or should. I can't remember, dammit!"

"It's the Amulet of Gatos." Jonqin strode up to us. By now the others were looking in our direction. "Where'd you find it?"

"On the ground," I replied, holding it up. "Anybody want it?"

I still don't know what this means. There was no direct reference to an amulet in my flavor text, and no reference to Gatos.


Feel free to point out the logic inconsistencies if you see any. I might as well try to answer as much as possible. Do expect a late reply, however, there's camping going on tonight and most of tomorrow.

Just had a question for Nik...excellent plan to flush out who took your item; however, why would scum care about whether anyone knew they had the double-voting item (which I assume is the Amulet of Gatos?)? Scum could claim they did not know whether or not you were town and claim they were town as well...and leery of giving such a powerful item to someone they were unsure of. Same if it was town who stole and released the item. Just trying to figure out the logic behind why the DV item was stolen and returned. Any other thoughts on this question would be welcome. Seems like the game is set on sloooooooow so the more thinking things out the better.

I asked everyone whether or not they had stolen from me. Nobody confessed when I asked, meaning the thief was scum. When the amulet was dropped, that was just more confirmation of that fact. The flavour I was given with the stealing event also pointed to the thief being scum, not to mention it stopped me from sleeping when I was stolen from.
In addition to that, do you remember that Burlap Sack that M=W dropped? I got it, and it contained two Potions of Great Rejuvenation, the items that farside had.

Who's up for a massclaim? I'm willing to pass of the potions to a townie with a more powerful item than mine. I'd like for Kenman to start.

Rachella Harlek, started off with Psyweed (Doubleshot w/Drawback). Picked up the Book of Spells when it was dropped, protected myself for one day, passed it on to Chrono via the drop mechanic. Received the Psykus Daemonica which gives me the names of any abilities targeting the player I target that night. I doubleshotted to watch myself and Chronopie. Chrono came up clean (except for Magical Residue-the name of the PD ability), and I came up with Magical Residue and one more ability, which I've been trying to get someone to claim credit for because I'm hoping it clears me. Lastly, I'm randomized D4 and N4 due to Psyweed backlash.

Not necessarily true. According to Nik, there is an item thief. Supposing that to be true, there could easily be an investigative item in the hands of scum or a third-party.

Also, you still aren't going to drop info on your ability, not even the most superficial of information? Really? We're already at the point of mass claim, if not now then when?
