One of the following four set-ups is used for this game:

a) 2 mafia, 1 cop, 1 doc, 3 townies
b) 2 mafia, 1 cop, 4 townies
c) 2 mafia, 1 doc, 4 townies
d) 2 mafia, 5 townies

Note: in view of the number of players, we will start in the day phase, although most larger games start with a night. The mafia will be allowed to communicate pre-game, though no role will submit choices until Day 1 is over.

Possible roles:

You and _________ are the mafia

. You may only talk with each other during the game's "night," not during the "day." You let me know before the night's deadline who will be your victim. You win the game when all the other players are dead. As we start the game during the day phase, no choice is necessary at this time, but feel free to communicate with your partner until Day 1 begins.

You are the cop

. Every "night" before the deadline you send me a message with a name of your choice, and I will let you know whether that player is mafia or not. You are not allowed to communicate with any of the other players outside the thread. You win the game when the mafia are dead.

You are the doctor

. Every "night" before the deadline you send me a message with a name of your choice, and that player cannot die if attacked by the mafia that night. You cannot heal yourself. You are not allowed to communicate with any of the other players outside the thread. You win the game when the mafia are dead.

You are a townie

. You are not allowed to communicate with any of the other players outside the thread. You win the game when the mafia are dead.

STUFF FOR DAY 1:

Most games usually start off with random votes, and lynch minus two (two votes from lynch) is usually where the line is drawn for the first few pages. Why? Well, if you put someone at two votes, and the mafia want to speedlynch, they have to give away both of their members.

Lynch Minus (-)1 (one from lynch), is alot more dangerous, as it allows scum to speedlynch, but when we lynch one of those, we only have one lynched scum, while the other hides on day 3, and presumably cruises to an easy win.

Any questions about the game (rules, pms, whether it's ok to post or not) should probably be sent to the mod.(Meme)

STUFF FOR DAY 2:

First off, Lylo is lynch or lose. The mafia can win if you lynch wrong.

In this game, mislynching a townie will make you go into lylo, and scum can speedlynch if you place a vote. So if we lynch wrong today, DON'T PLACE A VOTE TOMORROW UNTIL YOU'RE SURE!

(just trying to compile all of the normal newbie stuff into one post, to try and "enrich" the game for later, and HOPEFULLY avoid an early deadline.)

Actually I do have to agree somewhat with what LML said however it doesn't strike me as much as he makes it out to be.

One thing i've noticed about LML is that he comes on strong and doesn't work too well in shades of gray. It's more black and white for him. He's also logical and presents a nice case but could easily throw a wrench in the works and no one would be able to pick it out.

LML, i'm going to be cautious of you.

If you sincerely feel my behavior has been scummy I would encourage you to vote. If you are town, you shouldn't worry about posturing. The only tool you have to find scum is your vote, use it to the fullest. I find your hesitance confusing.

My initial random vote was for you, but now I'd like to reconfirm that random vote as a serious vote.

...I would like to further add that I don't understand the attacks on IH.

This is a newbie game. The ICs have the

responsibility

to teach newer players some of the subtle points of mafia scum. Attacking an IC for performing the task

he is meant to do

isn't in the spirit of newbie games.

There is a difference between an IC offering advice and a player who is trying to manipulate the game with theory discussion. These newbie games are an excellent opportunity to learn how to differentiate the two.
