No, no, AV is right here. That's not circular logic. He talked about what scum in general tend to do (compared to town, of course), then concluded that Istanbul was more likely to be scum since he exhibited that behaviour. Perfectly valid inference.

You do realize that my read on you doesn't stem from whether or not aaah is scum, but rather at your complete lack of doing anything BUT trying to get aaah lynched since you latched onto your suspicion of him?
Obviously. I think that quote implicitly acknowledges it too.

Anyone with half a brain should see that Hohum is the right lynch here. Thus, there is no benefit to no-lynching today as opposed to tomorrow. So we lynch today and maybe we give a doc a chance to give us an extra lynch. Pure profit.

I really shouldn't forget I'm playing an Open.

Regardless, why don't you go ahead and explain how a no-lynch Today is useful given that we're lynching Hohum?

You're just spouting generalities. Do you really believe there is a >1/18 chance that Hohum won't be lynched? (1/18 being the odds that he's the jailer assuming that he's scum times the odds that the back-up prevents the kill Tonight assuming random jailkeep)
DemonHybrid wrote:How is it a bad thing, considering that if we lynch wrong, we lose?
Odds of us winning are negligible if Hohum is town.

DH wrote:No lynching gives us flip information.
WE WILL GET THAT INFORMATION AT SOME POINT. There's no point in getting it now since it
won't
help with the lynch
since we're lynching hohum
.
DH wrote:By the way, forget that there's even a jailkeeper in this game. That's a fuckload of useless WIFOM.
An extra lynch is the furthest thing from useless WIFOM!
DH wrote:So what is wrong with obtaining all available information?
Because the extra information is completely useless to us currently.

Regardless of who dies, I WILL be voting Hohum tomorrow. The information will be utterly meaningless tomorrow. Hell yes, I prefer keeping the jailkeeper scenario a possibility.

Engage with the situation, dammit. You're stuck in trite generalities.

This doesn't even mean anything.

Hohum's only post since Thursday was to report that his laptop had gone kaput Reference, so that's meaningless.
DH wrote:CES: If someone flips town, you know that they were at least being genuine and we could at least grasp something from their reads, that was my point.
So it's another pointless generality. Got it.

DH wrote:Well, look at that. Turns out I was right about rushing into the hohum lynch.
Nope. I would've voted hohum tomorrow and we'd still have lost. No lynch was the wrong move.
DH wrote:I'm angry at this game. Town's apathy and carelessness did them in.
I'm fairly sure the town lost because we only got one proper lynch.

Blahblahblah. No-lynch wouldn't have changed anything; there are certainly situations where it can change things, but this clearly wasn't one of them. No-lynch would've been a dumb move.

SV got quicklynched by aaaah, DH. That has nothing to do with the game.
