On a more prosaic note, I don't like that Ray is using an old case I already responded to as a way to keep his vote on me. I can't defend against an attack I already refuted, and plenty's happened in the game since my response.

That comment by DeathNote doesn't seem like a big deal to me. I played an AitP game with him where he was town and was actually modkilled for joking about giving away role information.

It's mind-shatteringly awful. Among the many probings if the voice we've had, pointing out a possible identity for it is the one that is most detrimental to town and helpful to scum. It's horrible all around and I can think of no protown motivation to do it.

Back on point though, skimming the topic a bit the one post that struck me was post 300 by Colbat discussing that discussing something was anti-town. I would like to state right now that is so wrong. Mafia moreso than town generally knows what is or is not going on in terms of flavor or has better guesses. Mafia, being in a team and having the information of their combined forces and knowing everyone not them is against them (generally speaking) can guess much better at stuff like the voice better than town is capable of, because town must be paranoid of just about all of the information they get on that day. So to say discussing anything with town (aside from outright saying stuff like "I think that guy is probably cop") is almost always beneficial, getting more and more thoughts out of people is always a good thing, it allows for a basis of thought.

Wrong. Discussing the identity of the voice strikes me as very antitown for this reason: as long as the scum don't know who the voice is, they can't kill him or her. How can you kill someone if you don't know who to target? That's why fishing for a name strikes me so badly.

I have strong flavor-based reasons to believe there are other abilities that function based on claims, so I won't fullclaim and I advise nobody else to do so unless at L-1 with someone willing to hammer.

When I saw that I had an ability that functioned based on claims, I guessed that that was going to be a common (or at least not unique) ability trigger, and might even be a big part of the game's theme, mechanically.

I didn't think scum would use vanilla as a safe claim. I know when I'm a non-vanilla scum, I always try to fake-claim non-vanilla, as vanillas get lynched too easily. So the best target was a role that was not vanilla, but not strong or verifiable- limited shots, trackers, etc. (I also didn't use it on zwets for this reason, I think you forgot to mention him)

I send in a claim post by a player.
If that player LIED, the shot misses and he lives.
If that player did NOT like, the shot kills him.
Why are you treating this as two different actions? SSK is NOT kill immune. My ability IS a lie-detector that kills if the post was not a lie.

Kdub claims he has info and knows you can't be from Disney Castle. You say you are. If you're Town. he's almost certainly lying scum. SSK is confirmed scum if you flip Town. That makes two.

I deliberately avoided using one of our mod-fakeclaims when I claimed mickey. I was fully expecting and intending to get both me and MSSK killed that day, so there was no reason to waste a fakeclaim. I almost claimed scum but DGB would have thought it was a super-bus, so I played caught scum and just waited for MSSK to die. I did NOT expect the team to fall apart afterward though, that was terrible.
