Voting, Lynching, and Death

• • Votes should be cast using the following format –

Activity

• • I expect everyone to post regularly. If I see that a player has not posted for longer than a 72 hour time period and the player has not notified me about this, I will prod said player. If the person fails to pick up his her/prod within 48 hours of the prod, that player will be replaced. If you are prodded more than three times, you will be replaced (negotiable). If you are prodded, you must respond to the prod in-thread.
    
  • Treat this game as a commitment and be courteous to your fellow players. I find that this is the best way for everyone to enjoy the game. Thanks. =)
    
  • Each day will automatically have a set deadline of three (3) weeks. In special circumstances, I may extend the deadline at the request of the players or my own discretion.

• • Out of the townies, a Chosen One is determined randomly from a pool of 4 people (the mafia will send 3 veto votes to me during pre-game of people they do
    not
    want to be the Chosen One), and is basically a lynchee for the mafia. It can't be nightkilled or endgamed; it can only be lynched. And it can only be lynched while there are still townies alive; an endgame 2-mafia-1-chosen endgame is a town win. Of course, even with the Chosen One out of the way, the mafia still has to avoid getting lynched.
    
  • All self-votes count as two (2) votes. Because of the possibility of a deadlock at 2:2 endgame with the Chosen One still alive, any selfvote from -2 will be counted as a hammer. This could become important.
    
  • This game will be full reveal. Yes, even the Chosen One will be revealed upon death.

Thanks for the comments, peeps, and thanks to the players for playing and the replacements who replaced in especially Jahudo who replaced into an extremely tricky situation!

During Day 2, I really thought AceMarksman stood a good chance of getting lynched -- ABR and springlullaby (and obviously ekiM) seemed pretty dead-set on lynching him even though his vote placement on the Lawrencelot wagon probably wouldn't have made any sense at all coming from scum. I was thinking that if that lynch actually went through, a number of town players would look pretty bad for going after him pretty hard and ekiM might have had a chance to pull off the win for the scum team. spring's lynch pretty much killed that possibility, though, since ABR was pretty much the only person left who seemed pretty fixated on a possible Ace-scum.

As ekiM mentioned, the veto votes went to Claus, Nuwen, and springlullaby.

I think ekiM made a good choice by killing ABR -- I'm almost positive that if ABR was left alive during Day 4, he likely would have self-hammered since I think he pretty much concluded that he wasn't the Chosen One since nobody really attacked him despite doing some fairly questionable stuff. It didn't lead to a scum win in the long run, but at least it prolonged the game and still gave scum a chance to win.

I've actually taken Patrick's and Ether's comments on-board for this set-up and, if I'm

chosen

as a mod, am planning to run a Chosen in the invitationals using two Chosen Ones instead of one since I think the current set-up is quite town-favoring.
