Everything I say in blue is a lie since I'm totally the mod
Everything UK says in red is the truth
Also, everyone who's rolename is um...Macho Neutral Selector Jack of All Trades should claim. Now."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Also, I'm serious about the claim.
You'll either be town or scum eventually, and if you pick town now it's up to a coin flip. Taking both of us out has an advantage for both factions.
So claim, and we can die together and hope our selected team wins. Cool huh?"Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

UK can't get ticked off at a mod-wagon when she's the one that started it. Rolling EyesI can actually. I have a meta of voting the mod. Four of these voters don't.
xvart is lying. Which conversely probably mean he isn't and he chose scum Macho Neutral Selector JoaT. We should prolly lynch that guy.
Still waiting a few hours to make sure I'm right though.

I think he's faking the PM to pretend he's not the other one when he really is, and he's elected to work with a/the scum team. I could be wrong though.
I'd still like the other neutral to claim. I already selected town. If you selected town it's a coin flip to see who's helpful. I want both of us to die. If you roll scum, well, you know what you are getting rid of. If you roll town, well, obviously in exchange for your life you get a caught scum."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

xvart. Could you please NOT post everything in fucking quote stripes? I'll respond SUCCINCTLY this time, but please try to respond in a more bulleted/link manner or other non quote response manner.
Anyway, basically, I'm no longer convinced you are the other neutral, which is probably good for you. The rest doesn't matter atm.
I will clarify later"Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Pah, I was late. Should have checked this game first. Since clearly my scum opposition has decided to take the initiative. I personally feel we both should be lynched, as has been my attitude since game start. You know, the town ill needs a savior like us thing. For the record I'm of course counterclaiming Town Macho Jack of all Trades."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Well, the problem with this is, were I nightkilled, it'd be OBVIOUS I was the town selector. Or at least pretty damned close to obvious.Hoopla wrote:
Ah yes, I forget that rule - good thinking. I'm not sure what to think at the moment, although I'm probably siding with you at the moment. He could have. But there's a chance he would have been found out by other roles in this game. Granted, he does come off as strongly town, and even WIFOM doesn't help much since NKing me would have been better. I can't really argue that he didn't act in a pro town manner. I can, argue, that he might not have thought of the strategy you propose. Which is what I'm stuck with, ne? However...I think I have a good counter to all this. Lemme check a couple things."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

As I thought. Formatting might help a lot here.
zoraster wrote: Congratulations. You are town. Refer to your power list to see which powers you now have.
Zoraster
Both Selectors have chosen town before 48 hours is up. I will roll a 2 sided die in the game thread.
If the die is a 1 you are scum.
If the die is a 2 you are town.
Zoraster
The last quote doesn't matter as much but it's full disclosure.zoraster wrote: You are one of TWO Macho Neutral Selectors and Jack of All Trades. Things are about to get a little complicated so follow along, sweetheart. I’ll break it down bit by bit.
Selector: You may at any time, when there are 6 or more players alive, choose to pick to become either a Town member or a Mafia member. You may do this at any point during the day or night by PMing me with your choice. When you have selected a side, I will post the following message in game: “The selectors have made their choice!”
There’s just one hitch: if the other Macho Neutral Selector picks before you do, you will automatically be placed on the opposite team that that other Selector picked. If both Selectors PM me within 48 hours of Day 1’s start and both have picked the same side, I will flip a coin (via random.org) to pick whose pick actually went through. Thus, selections will not be made before 48 hours has elapsed in the game.
If you die before selecting, you lose.
I should note that if there is more than one mafia team, I will have designed it so that a particular mafia team will be joined by the mafia selector.
Last, your alignment will NOT be revealed until and unless BOTH Selectors are dead.
Neutral: Self-explanatory, but you start off unaligned, so you are neutral. You are essentially a survivor until you select a side, so if you die, you lose.
Macho: Doctors will not protect you. Jailkeepers will only block your role from working, it won’t protect you. Watchers won’t see who visited you. Any other roles that stop kills will be neutralized.
Jack of All Trades: Your powers vary depending on whether you’re Neutral, Town or Scum.
Neutral: You have the following 1-shot powers: Watch* (see who targets a player), Invent* (send me a target and an item. They’ll get a power based on that item. Careful, some items may have the opposite effect of what you might otherwise think!
[REDACTED]
Scum: You have the following 1-shot powers: Track*, Ninja* (undetectable by trackers and watchers), Roleblock*, Rolecop*, Treestump**
*Nighttime only powers.
**Treestumping: During the day at any time (provided you have not been hammered or are already dead) you may put this in bold Mod: Treestump me! and this will turn you into a treestump. Any votes on you will be reset, but you can still be voted for. You will no longer have the ability to vote. You will have the power to post still. If you are killed or lynched after this point, you are removed from the game as normal.
Win Cons:
Neutral: Survivor. Only wins if alive and game ends with 6 or more players alive.
Town: You win when all mafia, sks and any other malicious third parties are eliminated.
Scum: You win when all town, sks or any other party that has a win condition contrary to yours is eliminated or nothing can prevent them from being eliminated.
This might be a bit confusing, so any questions you should feel free to ask me about.

I dunno. I doubt we'll get to see whatever the scum got. I only posted saying formatting might help to let the real gamebreakers take a stab at it.
Honestly, it would be best to resolve this early since I feel both of us need to be lynched at some point. I suggest lynching me first since, quite frankly, Ilooka lot worse in this exchange. Course, I also know for a fact that bananas is scum. So,vote Bananas
Anyway, no need to end the day so soon so I'll of course be posting my opinions on other players and such throughout and perhaps might even vote people who aren't bananas. Of course, from my POV bananas is caught scum that I need to die to catch. So, yeah."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Because sham accounts didn't occur to me like they SHOULD have. It quite frankly, didn't occur to me.
ok, but why did you publicly claim? If you selected before 48 hours after recieving you role then you would have either
A. Got your choice if the other selecter didn't select
B. The coin would have flipped and you would have a 50% chance of getting your selected alignment.
Why bother claiming? You could have just used a sham account like bannanas.
I already answered that. I'm the logical first pick for killing. I'm not gonna vote myself but I fully expect to be the D1 lynch.CML wrote:

I'd prefer you all not screw yourselves and not lynch bananas. I've understood I needed to die since I got this role, though admittedly I played the neutral part badly. Lynch me first, but make sure bananas dies before endgame."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Yes, she is probably a better lynch than bananas D1, since comparative play analysis gives her a slightly higher chance of being scum, objectively.mind giving out an un-corrupted message?
I like a UK lynch today... He seems to be playing the most scummy (off of a re-read) and my gut tells me that this isn't a bad lynch.
I will have more latter I urge to put UK at l-1 to see how he reacts.
Nothing new to add as I've already claimed, or should I do the encryption anyway? Seems pointless."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

I can confirm that town JOAT has treestump.
I'll admit that I didn't expect to have to use it. I'd prefer both bananas and I treestump (and honestly should have thought of that in the first place...I'm kinda sucking at strategy this game), but of course, if a majority of town demands it, I'll do it."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

My night actions aren't retained. I asked. Banana's can ask as well if they'd like. In other news, I'm not doing it without a majority. I'm sure that's acceptable, right fish?Fishythefish wrote:EBWOP: read the strategy thread. tnm is under the impression that stumped players retain night actions.
Bananas's post says that these actions are removed. The role PM UK quoted has no opinion on the matter.
@UK, Bananas: please clarify this issue.
If UK is retaining her night actions, we are lynching her.
Either way, it makes tnm's post not suspicious.
Please could everyone who believes it post:
UK should treestump, immediately
In the same manner
Please, could anyone who believes it post:
Both bananas and UK should treestump, immediately
I do, but of course, I suspect that you all won't. Either way, it's only fair that I offer an alternative to Fishy's unilateral...unilateralling
And...CML, I'm gonna have to say that bananas is UK conspiracy theory is pretty stupid. All it achieves is getting me lynched/treestumped. That's not desirable aseitheralignment unless I have outted the other MJoAT. In which case I'm still of the opinion both of us should die. So, what motivation would I have for acting like my counterpart in such a way that gets me lynched?"Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

It's clear my vote is going to return to bananas at some point. Further, if we are both going to treestump (possible), I'd rather catch mr. scummy apathy I don't want to commit to protecting my scumbuddy.
UK if you're town you should be voting for nobody but Bananas, seeing as they would be definately scum.
Anyway, I am known for weird fake claims despite only doing it once . But, no, I claimed my role as real. I wish I had played it better since I look like I'm in terrible shape now.
Could you bold your preference, tnm, as me and Fishy asked?"Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Role cops get the role of whoever they target, hence why you see them more often on scum. In my games they tend to get alignment as a side effect of how I format Role PMs.
Actually, that's a decently confirmable role if another role is willing to out themself."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

The "Let's Play a Game" thread is a quick way to gain town cred without doing anything. totallynottotallynotmafia was also rather anti-town. I don't really remember anything else of note from him, so a lot was a bad word to use.Fishythefish wrote:@UK: I see tnm neither as particularly scummy nor as VI. On the contrary, I've found him fairly protown, with a couple of good ideas. What are his "lot of questionable actions"?
I kind of agree that ani's disappearance is badly timed and a bit suspect. His not-really-caring attitude to UK/Bananas also sucks."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Obviously wouldn't count.
As far as I can tell, you are still at T-2. Can I make two sham accounts and vote you over, or will that not count?

In fact, sham account votes should not be accepted period.
