No they're not, the priests sole aim are to eliminate the ghosts (i.e you), not really caring how many innocents they take out before getting all the ghosts.

It's the fact that he seems to have a solid reasoning for thinking that just having one other person in the room would keep his secret plan from working. My character not only is a necrophiliac, but also has a bondage/submissive fetish as well. His tongue absorbs the taste of the ghostly essence, even as it slowly begins to spank him for his obvious scummyness. He feels more turned on than a mason finding one of the fellow masons is a spy, and bends down to accept his punishment...

Also, why was autoload going around shooting a shotgun that does 5 damage to innocents just to prove they're innocent when we have weapons that can prove it at a much lesser cost? It's odd he used a weapon which specifically does the highest damage to innocents, instead of proving it by using a weapon that does the lowest damage to innocents; that'd be much safer. That looks like causing damage and thinking up a pro-town excuse for it from here.

With the armor, we should look at it like this, 0 or 1 is innocent, 0-2 priest, 0-5 but explodes ghost. Basically because we don't know how much it will depend we can only say if he's ghost or not, not priest or innocent.

That was based on factual evidence apparent to anyone. I think he took 0 damage (IIRC?), and so I doubted he'd be ghost due to the armor probably wouldn't negate 81+% of the damage, and I seriously doubt he's innocent. I think my statement was justified.

I don't definativly know about either of them; there's arguments for both sides. You'll see my opinion changing as new evidence comes into a light against either side, but at the moment I'm unsure.

Seriously, I don't trust priests. They have 3 things listed on the front page: we don't have a clue what any of the do. For all we know, sacrificing townies to some dark god could make them more powerful. All I know is they don't give a rats arse about keeping me alive, so I'm staying the hell away from those I think are priests.

As much as I'd like to be safe and agree with you, it dosen't look like they have any other abilities than the ones stated, and even if they don't give a rat's arse about you, it dosen't mean they want to kill you. Since us and the priests have the same win condition, I don't see why they'd want to hurt us.

I'm a priest. After finding the crucifix I turned from innocent to priest; I can exorcise people but I can't use any other priestly abilities, apart from healing; I can heal 2 HP.

I am aware of the Chandelier switch and the Cage Lock switch (in the Bloody Cage Room). I have no info on a fireball switch in the Master Bedroom.

Having seen it from both the innocent and priest's side, incorrect. Innocents do not win by surviving. They win by the ghosts dying, but also lose if they die; because nowehere in the rules does it state the win condition of surviving, but it does mention ghosts somewhere IIRC. The priests help them achieve this. Or is it they can survive with either side alive, like survivors in mafia? In that case, the innocents as a whole need to take their pick.

Basiclly, you are either a ghost, Priest or an Innocent. The ghosts (which
are a team) attempt to kill off the rest of the players. While the preists run around attempting to kill off all the ghosts. The innocents try to stay alive and will get items that allow them to attack or defend themselves.

In no way is it implied that you can be anything else apart from those 3, weasel wording or not, so I find it impossible. The only reason you'd have to say you were 'something else' and not be able to say what it is, is to be a ghost to cover yourself up.

Part of this comes from my own status as a ghost. My partner (whom I will not reveal) and I, being ghosts, are part of the priests' victory condition (i.e. They have to kill us to win). This is only a small part of my reasons to distrust the priests

Eh, I see your point. There's one thing I'm afraid of, though: Since I wasn't born a priest, I'm not sure if I have a lesser win condition (Since no priests are RCing either); I don't have any items but the crucifix and no abilities but exorcise/heal.

, though, since I don't have to be alive to win, I just have to ensure that at least one innocent survives. My main reason for distrusting the priests comes from looking at game theory. What if the priests decided to drop all pretense and kill every non-priest?

This depends on the innocent win condition. We still don't have the defintion of 'survival', which very may be to kill all ghosts.

Early on, this strategy isn't really viable, since they are greatly outnumbered, but the closer we get to endgame as more innocents are killed off, the more this becomes a good strategy for the priests. Looking at the stats for most of the weapons in the game, priests take less damage than innocents, so in an otherwise even competition, innocents can't stand up to them in combat, so the battle will inevitably be priests vs ghosts, with the innocents getting caught in the middle and slaughtered.

Slaughtered, by both sides. You forgot how the innocents are also the largest group, with therefore more weapons. They are a powerful faction, and will need to choose between priests and ghosts.

It is this sort of endgame that I hope to avoid. I'm not saying we adopt a "kill all priests" strategy, but we should certainly keep an eye on them. This is why I am supportive of killing JDodge. If he's a ghost, killing him helps my win condition. If he's a priest, killing him has no effect on my win condition (I only care about innocents), and helps to avoid the endgame scenario I described.

Either way, priests, The Greg needs to die. He's working against us, and we need to exorcise him, regardless of what anyone else wants, IMO. RC and tell me what you think
