Did it take 16 minutes for you to read the thread and develop reads? Are you Number Jonny Five? It took me an hour to scan to page ten before I got bored and went to bed. I still haven't read between 10 and last page.
Nah bro. I had been reading this thread since the start of D1. I love the playerlist.

I have only been lynched as scum once. I got thrown off balance early by a huge swing of suspicion onto me (the reason, though not relevant, was me accidentally putting someone at L-1 on like page 4). In that game, I made a lot of posts like this one, I believe.

Why do you have a townbloc?
Because it's how I approach the game. I townhunt and scumhunt simultaneously but town are a hell of a lot easier to find than scum in most games.
While it may be easier to townhunt, how do you not get in a cycle of confbias? Especially when someone reaches the point where they can be on your townbloc, then you're looking for why they can still be town and not why are they scum. It's less effective and more prone to bias.

Going back to your first post, what was the basis for your reads?
I have been playing for years. I know my way around.

I think mafiassk is scum and if so then it will be interesting that ffery considers him so hard to read. His recent quoting of geists looks to me like scum who is feeling pressured, and is trying to "scumhunt"... odds are he'll try to bus someone imo.

I think we should lynch ssk and if he flips scum, any cop we might have would do well to have a look at geists.

vote mafiassk
Or you know I've legitimately been asking questions? Because that's something I can't do as town? Because questions make me scum?

It's a Pieguy ISO Dive everyone!
Spoiler: Pieguy ISO Dive
Total Contribution= 64 posts
Average Player Contribution=1050/20=53 posts= PASS

POSTS:
In post 632, pieguyn wrote:warning: lazy as fuck catchup post so I probably missed a lot of shit

Sakura scum. I'm having a shitton of trouble believing this post came from the same person who always preaches "reasonless RVs are bad", and MC Maraca hadn't posted yet, so I don't see how it's not an RV.
giving me weird vibes. it seems really really serious compared to the rest of the thread. not sure how comfortable I feel with that given he's townreading geists for being "at ease". however this is gut and looking back on it later I think this makes him seem town. it seems he legitimately wants to get the game going already
tammy town
goodmorning town
I agree MC seems town
I'm liking BRO's willingness to work with a mutual townread here. however, I still have paranoia from imperishable night. he doesn't seem like he's trolling as much here, which may be a good sign
goodmorning even more town
MC town
give me bourbon plz

this is really weird for me since I still feel like a lot of the game is in the fucking around stage. anyone who knows me knows that I generally get going immediately. oh well
I'm also not liking Ceph atm, but it's mostly gut and I can't be assed to go back and find anything specific ._.

I'm kind of ass backwards skipping over a lot of specific shit here, but I'm especially curious about this
this, I grok. fuck it, BRO can go into the townpile
not liking this argument. Brian hasn't even posted in like forever, so he didn't really have much of a chance to push anyone else at all 0.0
In post 340, geists wrote:Except where it doesn't make sense, I keep my stances pretty transparent.
huh
what the fuck is that vote. he posts all these giant reads walls then votes someone who he hasn't even mentioned? dafuq
ok finally smth apparent I noticed about Cephrir - he didn't out his opinion the deals when the first one came up and all of a sudden he does it on this one? it's convenient how it happens to be when people are saying Nacho looks scummy. this makes me think this read was based off convenience and not legitimate scumhunting
huh I'm seeing what you all are about Generic - in fast and furious he seemed pretty adamant about getting Telo lynched
Generic can be town too
"hey I'm just going to buddy everyone who's scumreading me so I won't get found out"
what the hell is that I thought for some reason maraca was townreading Tammy I need to go back and look at this again
I don't like this on a playstyle level. in practice it's probably not alignment indicative, but read the fucking game make areal vote

haven't seen anything at all since 546. probably bc I'm being a lazy fuck atm. I'll just wing it from here and hope for the best

other things of note, KoreanBBQ has a shitton of content and there's nothing in there that gave me a townread on them. feeling kind of icky about them atm
Fairly typical catchup post. Wish the statements had more behind them, but whatevz, mine was worse.

@KoreanBBQ:
what's up with that statement of how Varsoon is scum if he had less than 2 posts at whichever point? I'm especially curious

let's fucking go \:D/
That's a pretty awesome readslist. And it has questions. A reason given with each would be cool, because I know that these can be faked but the depth of the sorting, almost counteracts that.
In post 634, pieguyn wrote:also

Nevermind that. Never gives a reason for voting. Sure in future posts there is justification but future justification can retroactively prove pieguy's vote.

Like when pieguy does try:

1. see that's my point. given you always say that reasonless RVs are bad, why wouldn't you just out the reason at the time when you made the RV?

2. this is one of the most deflective answers I've ever seen and doesn't actually answer my point. not to mention you don't even say how my post is WIFOM. can you explain plz? also, I'd appreciate if you could answer the question directed towards "EVERYONE" in big bold letters at the end of my catch-up post
In post 647, pieguyn wrote:

In post 643, Sakura Hana wrote:2. You're the one that's bringing it WIFOM about it, I repeat, why wouldn't I do something I normally do as town when I'm scum rather than something different?
no I pointed out a valid reason and you're the one who chose to put up a WIFOM defense by going "why would I do xxx as scum"
KoreanBBQ wrote:
In post 633, pieguyn wrote:@KoreanBBQ: what's up with that statement of how Varsoon is scum if he had less than 2 posts at whichever point? I'm especially curious
Simple. I've never read Varsoon wrong. Before that post, if most of the posts were from Varsoon, that would be way off his usual townplay and would be most likely scum.
why do you have mac as scum?

I haven't looked into SC's posts more but if Varsoon has made more posts since then how's your read on him coming along?

which of my townreads do you think is wrong?
It's just questions towards Sakura. It's never definitive. That's why the vote exists as a definite statement that you think lynching the person will be beneficial towards town. But I digress.

Your seemingly-blank-looking-null read on Casso doesn't help anyone either ♫
(a.k.a. Why null?)
he's been pushing people all game but I think he does that as both alignments so I don't wanna write him off as town just for that. I'm not sure I like his jump on pitoli. it seems really weird considering he hadn't included pitoli in his reads list wall before then. aside from that, he's in kind of the same boat you're in where htere's a lot of content and I'm concerned that none of it makes me wanna townread him. I moved him up to null bc I've liked his pushes on people, but I'm keeping my eye on him

also, how the fuck am I supposed to get a better read on Sakura when she only had like 3 posts? if it seems too easy it's bc I had to make a judgment based off hardly anything. her few posts that she had lean scum and that's all there is to it
In post 670, pieguyn wrote:@F16: the first part was due to this

I liked this stance and how she's being upfront about questioning shit that she thinks is incorrect

the second part was this
In post 184, goodmorning wrote:On pure odds I'm gonna go ahead and disagree with you.
1. It's not a stat course.
2. Odds distract people.
3. Unlikely =/= impossible, and it's not even that unlikely.
it's another stance that shows she's holding true to her beliefs

my read on BRO is a mixture of both of those things. there was another game we played where I had him as null-town almost entirely based off gut and he was scum (thankfully on d2 I turned that shit right around). some of the stuff he's done in this game, combined with the fact that it doesn't seem to match that game, makes me feel somewhat comfortable with him as town atm

generally it means that, at the time of that post, I have that person as town for various reasons. it can be bc of a certain post or a culmination of a bunch of things up to a certain post

in fast and furious Generic was town. he had a scumread on Telo, he wasn't backing down, and he seemed set on getting her lynched (eventually she got lynched and she was town). so I agree that the fact that he's more agreeable here seems odd
K, pieguy. I get it you're town.

Keeps doing townie stuff for a while until here:
In post 692, pieguyn wrote:yo I'm town as fuck. wanna work together?

in the meantime, why do you think geists's posts feel off?
Mentioning that you're townie, even if it is true, is always scummy. And in addition, trying to force a townblock is scummy, but I mean, I guess it could be town? I dunno.

And then a couple posts later comes this even worse post:
In post 733, pieguyn wrote:#swagginwagon
vote: BBQ
Which is just sooo off from pieguy. Sheeping? Getting on a wagon? With a complete lack of reasoning or even interaction with BBQ, beforehand? I don't get it.

Then there are these two posts:
In post 827, pieguyn wrote:what the hell is going on I don't even
In post 831, pieguyn wrote:talah where the hell have you been o.o
That feel like an odd form of buddying/ pieguy not being himself. Pieguy asks questions. There were no questions directed to the players motives here.

But all returns to normalcy in the following post:
In post 841, pieguyn wrote:idk I was townreading her but I'm starting to have reservations about her too

Tammy brings good points. also, I find it awkward she seemed really excited when I replaced in and she hasn't interacted with me at all since then. that plus Generic's point makes me think some of the stuff she's done so far is fake 0.0 I'm being a lazy fuck right now so I haven't really tried to do any formal sorting, but that's where I'm at

what do you think about Sakura so far?
good town stuff.

And that carries on for a while. Lots of questions, lots of reasoning.

Then the only other posts that bother me are recent:
In post 1044, pieguyn wrote:
In post 1042, MafiaSSK wrote:While it may be easier to townhunt, how do you not get in a cycle of confbias? Especially when someone reaches the point where they can be on your townbloc, then you're looking for why they can still be town and not why are they scum. It's less effective and more prone to bias.
do you ask this every single time someone forms a townbloc or what

like whats the point of this question. do you srsly think forming townblocks is alignment indicative?
In post 1042, MafiaSSK wrote:As for the basis of my reads, there were no particulars otherwise I would have mentioned them. Most of them were just my gut feelings. Take that as you will.

Here because the vote has had no reasoning for pieguy to go after me ever. And then continues as such.
In post 1051, pieguyn wrote:
In post 1049, MafiaSSK wrote:I'm pretty confident with my gut? It's usually right, but I like to have substance behind it. So not all the way confident.

you don't seem confident @_@ mostly bc you didn't mention anything until you actually gave said reads list, and your tone in 1042

it looks like you're just trying to coast through D1 by asking random questions. I'm not entirely sure on you being scum, but screw it

now that I think about it tho, I made the same mistake with you on imperishable night
Confidence is apparently a scumtell, not giving reasons in a readslist is also apparently a scumtell even though pieguy dd the same.
And I ask questions. That's how I hunt. Just like you.
Your case on me is bs

QED: I just wasted an hour. Pieguy's town. But has a few odd quirks that give it reasonable doubt.

No, questions don't make you scum. Ofc you could be town, from my pov everyone I might vote for could be town. That's the risk I'm willing to take everytime I vote for someone. My vote on you suggests that I feel stronger about you being scum than others. You entered the game with a list of reads with no explanation, something I referred to as "putting your pawns in place". You're ultra defensive as you pick up votes, and respond with an exchange with geists that doesn't really go anywhere. You're also pointing the finger at ceph at a time when for me he emerges as a town read. I'm not getting a town vibe from you. Maybe I'm misreading you, I can't know that until you flip. But right now I want your flip more than anyone else.
I'm always ultra defensive, and I always give a readslist when I replace in. I always talk theory with ffery. For all alignments. None of these are indicative of my alignment.
And yes, you are misreading me. Heavily.

Mentioning that you're townie, even if it is true, is always scummy. And in addition, trying to force a townblock is scummy, but I mean, I guess it could be town? I dunno.
what's the difference between this and saying DOMO is heavily misreading you? it's pretty much the same thing - asserting yourself as town. 0.0
Difference in players and position.
You're always a more proactive town player. You question, you read, you vote, albeit sometimes with the wagon hopping, but you're always modest with everything. When you asserted yourself as town, it was unnecessary and almost aggressive.
Whereas I was being my ultradefensive self as I am. I need to prove that I am indeed town, so that I don't get lynched, and so occasionally statements like the one I directed at Domo appear.

This is the closest Casso came to giving a reason on me and it's all based off of imaginary likelihoods. So let me ask a couple of questions.

Why am I not likely to "obvtown unless roles"?
Why would I have a better chance of being scum?

It's basically a deadline compromise lynch afaiac. If Nati has a townread on you I think we'll pass, but the last we talked about you it was an extremely, extremely tentative read because you tricked him in epic fashion in the AA game.
I mainly wanted to see if I could trick Nat in AA.

If you're keen you'll also notice I've developed a scumread on geists!
Any chance you could explain those tiers? Because I disagree with nearly everything right there.

I don't think geists should be given the trust as being such an official town leader. Natirasha is very reactive, and that's really not good when deciding on a very rushed or heated lynch.

I was going to do the whole thing that I do when I find there's a wagon on me and I look at it and point out just how full of shit it is, but I think Ceph's post captures the majority of points.

A. The read has nothing to do with my actual play. Once lynched, what information could town possibly get besides maybe setup confirmation? which leads me to
B. There's somehow an imaginary rule that goes with gunsmith setups or whatever that a doc can only be balanced for scum? Guess what? I'm a town doc in this setup, so that is very clearly wrong.
C. He thinks my action has to make sense. I'm now on my fourth prod in this game, meaning I only have one more left, and that just goes to show how apathetic I am towards this game. I haven't given a shit. I didn't see any stinking mason claim or whatever. I knew that geists looked town, so I protected them. Simple as that.

I figure SSK is town if you are because he is easier to lynch than you are. I suspect the only reason SSK is not already dead is because I objected so strongly.
He's probably easier to lynch than I am because I contribute things and he doesn't, not because of anything that has to do with our specific alignments.

So to keep all of my posts relevant to the game I'm going to start posting excerpts from fanfiction that describe themselves as "epic", but with a savory twist.

This one is from a Harry Potter Fic known as "Marauders epic moments":

Boy thank merlin we have the Seriously Strong Cheddars, that's what I call them anyway, has a nice ring to it. Anyway Jarlsberg looks like he has a plan, no wait, no he doesn't. So I turned
around to see what he was looking at. Lily Emmental of course. Why does Provolongsie always end up in Lily-land when she enters the room. Oh great ,she's coming over. This'll be
entertaining.
"Hey Lily." That was Provolongs.
"Hello Potter." Emmental.
"So, why didn't you take any points off them, Emmental?" Come on we all know who that is.
" I didn't see the need." She's grinning, Oh Merlin, why is she grinning? Siraz Black is worried.
Evans again "I simply told MacconisGonagall what happened, she wasn't happy. She took a further 10 points each and each Slytherin involved got a fortnights detention. Happy, Potter?"
He must be, I am . I can't wait to annoy them about that. Emmental just walked away there and then shouted over her shoulder " Nearly forgot, she also told me to check that her
favourite Quidditch player was alright!" I just stood up and yelled at her "Tell Mimolette I love her too!" and the whole common room exploded with laughter, I gave(what I hoped to
be) a comical bow and sat down. What , I AM a Marauder, after all.

This one is from a Lord of the Rings fic known as Sproadically Evil Sponges. This time it'll start from the beginning:

Gammelost the Gouda/White Cheddar shuddered when he heard the news. A new evil had arrived. The Ricottally Meunster Necklace, in the possession of none other than Fromage Baggins.
He rode hurriedly through all sorts of country to get to Babybel End, and tell Fromage. He had become worried, and to him, this Ricottaly Meunster Necklace was almost worse than The One
Ring.
"Fromage, I must speak with you," he said as he entered Babybel End. "There's a new evil, and YOU are in possession of it!"
"Not again!" exclaimed Fromage. "Why me?"
Gammelost scratched his head. "I don't know. Some demented plan of an author, I guess."
"Evil authors."

So now a brie intermission with the story of how I started to like cheese:

It all began when I was about 10 years old. It was a sunny day. Much like today. 60 or so degrees. Just really nice weather. A bunch of banks all helped to sponsor a local concert in a local park that all of my family got together to see. It was a picnic-y type of concert and my uncle had a theme for all of the foods that we were all supposed to bring. The theme was tomatoes. I hate tomatoes. But luckily, there were crackers! So after eating a lot of Chiken Biskit, my parents tried to make me have a more nutrious cracker. So they opened up the cooler. The blue cooler. Sitting there as the sun faded, it shimmered in the fading light. I was ecstatic. For inside, all variances of cheese became known to me whether it was a sharp, white cheddar or a more mellow swiss. They all tasted great on crackers. So I ate they all.

Sweet! I was hoping for another vote.

This time it's for a fic from Twilight (so you know it has to be good), known as Epic Love Story:

Edward-edilpiz froze in shock. He then quickly grabbed at Jarlsberg, who snapped defensively at his brother. Bel la Paese was quickly becoming light-headed. Jarlsburg once again took hold of her,
and began sucking again, this time biting her wrist.
Emental grabbed Jarlsburg from behind in the next second, locking him into his massive steel grip. He tried to pry him away from Bel la Paese, but Jarlsburg held on for dear life, all the while
sucking her blood right out of her.
Edward-edilpiz pulled at one of Jarlsburg's arms, ripping it right off, and throwing it across the house. Carlsburg tried to talk sense into his newest son, reasoning that animal blood was good
enough, and there was no need to hurt Bel la Paese. Esrom was crying hysterically. Romanolie and Alicemerican cheese began tearing Jarlsburg apart, throwing his pieces and parts around the house.
And for Bel la Paese, her surroundings began to dim. The panicking voices of her family grew faint, like she was underwater. Even the blinding pain was numb. She began to float away.
And then, it was dark.

It's sort of sad, really, what my first exposures to cheese were. All the time when I was a kid, my mom would make grilled cheese sandwiches. Except they weren't really grilled. They were microwaved. She would put two slices of bread and a couple slices of American Cheese (who you might have noticed bares a striking resemblance to Alice in Twilight) and microwave it for like a minute.
One of the good parts of it, was that my mom also made a delicious tomato soup with it. Which is weird because I normally hated tomatoes, but when I dipped that grilled cheese sandwich into it, I didn't care. It was just a damn good taste. Then I would run out of the sandwich and just be left with the soup. by then the soup was usually lukewarm and just eh.
But I mean American Cheese is also eh. It's so heavily processed and it just doesn't have that mmph that other cheeses do. I needed to expand my tastes to truly known the greatness of cheese.

Melted cheese is really interesting. I really like the texture but people mostly put it on bread.
So fun story about that. One of those summers, I just wanted grilled cheese all the time. So when my family when to Chicago to visit a family friend at all the restaurants we visited and their house as well, I got grilled cheese. Most places burn their grilled cheese sandwiches. Which is sad. I like the bread softer because then the bread's texture goes with the gooiness of the cheese. They also have a common side dish of fries. I don't understand that. Fries are salty. There's enough salt in the cheese usually. Some places, though, but one place in particular served it with a pickle. That started my fascination with pickles, but that's a different story for a different game.
Because melted cheese is interesting. Like the only other thing I can think of that people put melted cheese onto besides bread is an omelette. But then you have to get just the right type of cheese for all the different ingredients that go into the omelette AND has to be meltable. There are so few good melting cheeses. You have go with like a tindon or a swiss, but not every swiss, like a havarti. But then you tired of havarti. But omelettes are so tasty and healthy that I don't want to switch from omelette but I get tired of the taste. I dunno.

I wish there were more things people put melted cheese on to. I would be happier.

IT'S STORY TIME.

This one is from the interesting, Percy Jackson and the Olympians fic, "Epic Title Here":

"Hey, Leeodammer!" Piperjack called, poking her head into Bunker 9, "Where are you?"
"I'm up here, give me a sec", I yelled as I tightened a screw on one of the new catwalks I was installing. I climbed down the main ladder and ran to the doors, carefully making my way around the other project I was working on. I wasn't entirely sure what it was supposed to do yet, I was kind of just messing around, but I could tell I almost had it figured
out.
"What's up?" I asked as I made it to where Piperjack was standing. "New Camembert", she said, "We want her to meet all the Head Counsellors, I'll explain more on the way. Let's go!"
"Wait, like, now?" I complained, "I'm kind of busy right now!" Piperjack smiled and grabbed my arm. "Not anymore!
As we came out of the woods, Piperjack started dragging me over to where Applewoodabeth stood in the middle of the cabin area next to a young girl. I remembered what Piperjack had told me
about her. She had run away from a boarding school in New Orleans, and somehow made her way to New York. She had grown up in Canada, but sent to multiple boarding
schools far away from the small town that she lived in, getting kicked out or running away from the small town that she lived in, getting kicked out or running away from a total of 17 different schools in 7 years. No idea who her parent might be, No idea how old she was, and Piperjack didn't know what her name was. This girl sounded interesting.

Anddddd everyone here has been subscribed to CHEESE FACTS. For every 5 posts here, I'll post a mildly interesting fact about cheese.

First one: Nearly no cheese is actually yellow, instead they're actually white, because you know that's the color of milk. But cheesemakers want to dye them yellow because that used to be a sign of high quality cows.

FiVE FuN FACTS

1. The reason why Swiss cheese has holes is because the cheese curds fart when they're still babies.
2. The oldest cheese EVAR was found in Egypt said to be around FOUR THOUSAND years old.
3. When anyone calls someone like Natirasha, THE BIG CHEESE, it's supposed to mean that they're wealthy enough to buy A WHOLE WHEEL of cheese.
4. You know that BIG WHEEL OF CHEESE I posted earlier? Well, apparently the volume of milk it would take to make it would be 10X BIGGER.
5. The first cheese factory, much like a famous meth maker, was started by a Jesse, in Rome, New York in 1851.

This is boring. I hate cheese. Cheese is dumb. That trolling was dumb.

I protected Bro last night. Yell at me all you want. Call me scum for not protecting Domo, I don't care. But I didn't.

And I wanted to have fun. So I started to troll about cheese. Never again.

Sakura bro, two things.

One. You're not the first to say that.
Two. There's no scumhunting there. I'm just dropping the whole cheese schtick.
