I actually don't really like most of jjh's content this game despite agreeing with him on a technical level, felt like he got too much into into setup strategy to the neglect of anything else. Townread on triplehaven is uncontroversial, don't understand the one on bell, either way don't think a couple early townreads is worthy of towncred.

Mm not feeling as strong abt jj now, I think on a technical level i probably disagreed with his take on governing shots not benefiting town. I think reducing chaos to an extent would be helpful for at least avoiding really outlandish shots. He didn't get into much else other than spec about the shots, true, I can see scum just wanting to stick to the mechanical

Bell i dont know how to explain well. I suppose his asking everyone voting him for explanations/reasoning could be a scummy defensive move, but i more interpreted it as scumhunting on the only main early wagon (which also did happen to be him). I still like how Bell went about examining his own wagon in search of scum. I think his continued prods at Mena/Datisi to get their reasoning for voting him was good. He was a really peculiar way of playing that is kind of hard to understand, like the prisoners dilemma thing, so im willing to bet some of the basis for scumreading him earlier was just playstyle.

I liked something abt Keijis entrance. I know that Keiji struggles to get footing sometimes early as scum, at least in my sample size of one. But she seems normal so far to me.

Datisi I feel like his huge level of engagement with the game could he potentially town indictative, it certainly is for me. I couuld see datisi!scum but I have no wish to shoot him. Additionally now from Bell v Datisi it just feels like Datisi was having townie frustration to Bells confusing questions/push. Datisi also generally just reacts in a big way to being accused which I'm wondering could be town indictative (461)

The problem with that logic is that scum needs mis-yeets to win. Defending someone so clearly in the POE who could be easily mis-yeeted or mis-shot probably isn't in scum's best interest unless there are multiple town in the POE which could be happening, honestly.

So originally when i though Tipsy was a main, i was comparing their play here with the game i had read from them before. They came out pretty strong in that game (even in spite of the gimmick) and i townread them for the most part pretty heavily. This game i thought it odd Tipsy wasn't contributing too much early and more or less ignoring those pushing them in favour of meming around

After learning of their identity and hearing them say A.) trustfall was an easier game to follow and B.) they hadn't bothered to read this game, i am kind of inclined to believe it

Their catchup doesn't really inspire confidence and I do not understand their push on you/Datisi, but I am unsure that's scum indictative

I kind of want to read nahdia’s recent scumgame to try to get a handle on what she was like there. What a big the fact that the isis wagon was gaining momentum and this has successfully derailed it?

So just going off his early game i thought the way he responded to his wagon was vaguely good. He basically just hounded everyone on it for reasoning because he seemed convinced there was probably 1 scum on there. I sort of liked it but not enough to have him in my townbloc anymore

I think the way he is approaching the game is unique and difficult for me to evaluate. I don't know why he keeps bringing up the prisoner's dilemma as reasoning for shooting but i can buy that just being whatever is guiding his decisions. Maybe i should ask him more about what he means

Initially I recalled Kanna having trouble getting into the game on D1 when we were scum together. She then told me that she does that regardless of alignment. You win this time WIFOM-wise Kanna

Regardless i think Kannas play still lightly reminds me of our town games rather than our scum one. In the scum game she decided to take the risky/quirky read path and went after skitts (against the grain of the main wagon). This time shes against Norwe n Isis, nothing to try and stand out. I generally get the feeling shes comfortable (i know she isnt as scum)

I actually think his iso is very empty but making more of a conscious effort to project town than slots like norwee or porkens. I don’t think he’s really solving in it throughout, and his tales have been very safe things to say — look at where he talks about his shot or his TR on haven. I also just sort of generally think the game doesn’t feel solved, and my current set of scumreads are the people who I think just sort of faded away very quickly while having done nothing of substance vs the shit posters and obviously bad looking players (porkens and norwee mostly)

Tbh not a bad point cause if I were scum I wouldn't be aware of jjh's background (I bet it's the same for Kanna, maybe) and I'd only have his D1 to work off of meta-wise, and he wasnt a super active player D1. But also the Norwe thing, that was sort of hard to miss.

But maybe scum was thinking too little. Bell had the option of picking Umlaut or Norwe on pretty equal grounds at like a crossroad point between the wagons. It does spew him as town alright enough. But it was late-day.

I did a whole analysis thing later in 1181 and changed to Norwe after that. I thought the part that looked worse for me was the Umlaut wagon personally but looking back I guess i didn't help the Norwe wagon until it had more momentum. Grumblegrumble

Tipsy is maybe a better exile than Keiji based on Mena's NKA actually. We now have 2 flips of people where it's pretty normal that they'd shoot Bell, so we can construct a full scumteam that makes it work pretty plausibly

With only 1 flip there was a lot more equity in, "actually both of norwee's partners seems like they ought to know better than to shoot Bell but it was one of those weird takes"

Exactly why I was agreeing with Mena pretty hard on that. Pork being scum (which i thought he was) makes that theory 100% more plausible.

I do plan on modding a game like this again in the future (not the near future I got 101 ideas I want to do).

I am glad the general consensus was that you guys enjoyed the game

Just curious if you guys thought the game was fine in it's current state.
I liked keeping it more basic since it's less information to process, but maybe I could have given scum additional options like knowing if their shot would hit SoD it would make them be able to bus easily. It would also make doing things like shooting scum less clearing without hurting the fun behind the setup.

You could also give scum the option to shoot blanks secretly or something. But I think scum knowing what's in their chamber could be quite interesting
