Because after AP died D1 this game swung heavily into towns favor.

If I was scum I would do everything I could to keep every kill in the game after that.

Like, even if they think Sonic is town with bad reads I would advocate keeping him around to shoot more town.

Metal sonic being a kill lowers the amount of days that scum have to hide from a whole games worth of unknown PRs so you have to keep him alive.
