Two very bloodthirsty members of the mafia are trying to pass themselves off as members of the seven slightly-less-bloodthirsty townspeople. How dare they! You have to punish everyone who isn't exactly as bloodthirsty as you are by killing them.

Setup Info

This game uses an F11 setup. One of the following four setups was chosen at random:

A) 1 Mafia Goon & 1 Mafia Roleblocker vs 5 Townies, 1 Doctor, & 1 Cop
B) 1 Mafia Goon & 1 Mafia Roleblocker vs 7 Townies
C) 2 Mafia Goons vs 6 Townies & 1 Cop
D) 2 Mafia Goons vs 6 Townies & 1 Doctor

Lynching:

A player (or nobody, in the case of No Lynch) is lynched when he or she receives a majority of votes. After the majority vote is cast or a deadline has elapsed, but before the thread is locked, the game is in the Twilight phase.

The lynched player may no longer talk.

Votes cannot be changed in twilight.

Deadlines:

SUPER DUPER SPECIAL RULE, SO READ THIS PART!

As part of our constant strive to improve the games on this site (and Newbie games especially!) we are trying something a little new with a few games which will hopefully lead to more focused play and fewer replacements.

Each and every Game Day will have a deadline fixed at 3 weeks. This cannot be moved so if no clear majority is reached by that time then the day will end without a lynch.

All Night phases have automatic seventy-two hour deadlines. If you have an ability and don't send it in before then, nothing will happen.

Inactivity:

If any seventy-two hour period elapses in which you don't post in thread, you will be prodded. You then have forty-eight hours to post in thread or you will be replaced. If you foresee that you will be temporarily unable to play and you post in thread to inform everyone beforehand, you will not be subject to this rule.

The Mod is God:

Unlike the infallible gods of millenia past, however, I might make a mistake (but don't bet on it), if this happens let me know. I will listen to prayers for vote counts, prods, rules questions, and so on; either ask in thread or PM me. I post in

Things that will get you Modkilled:

Discussing the game anywhere besides in this thread, in PM with me, or with your scumbuddy during the Night.
Quoting a PM (even if the quote is not legitimate).
Using cryptographic codes.
Posting screenshots.

If you are Modkilled, you lose the game, period.

Modkills will end day as if the player had been lynched.

When you are dead:

Dead people do not talk, no exceptions. You still win the game if your team wins, unless you were Modkilled.

Just to let you know, there didn't used to be a mafia section. Mafia games used to be played in the "Dog Pound", then got moved to "Special Dynasties". Finally, a separate mafia section was created fairly recently.

Same username there as here. Right now, I'm playing at GDS "Recess" mafia, themed after the Disney cartoon that I've never watched in my life.

Are the vote(s) on me random? Or...what?

Hey guys. I'm the brand new Mafiana - I've played a bit IRL, and on other non-mafia specific sites.

At this point, I'm most suspicious of the guy who has moved an individual from 1 vote to 2. Actarus is not, to my mind, standout dodgy, so why has roflcopter voted for him? My guess is that it's because he was already on 1 vote. It's generally pretty easy for the mafia to get a bandwagon going on the first day, because no-one knows anything; and rofl is an IC, meaning he's played a few games before; so he could be thinking the trick is to get in early and build some momentum before people find their feet.

So, my guess is roflcopter; but I'm actually going to

I did not express what type of feelings I had yet, and I did not give any valid reasoning onto why to vote for actarus so I dislike the fact someone added the vote on, especially an IC.

The random phase is purely to start conversation, it is better if we can avoid a kill. I unvoted mainly to avoid people piling onto someone who we have no proof of anyything and no incriminating posts yet. So lets just keep up the conversation. Even though we do not have much to go on lets all try to say a few things.
1- If you had to lynch someone right now who would it be?
2-Is there anyone you feel might be scum?
3- What ever else we need conversation.
I realize there isn't much to go off yet but lets keep it rolling.

guys, don't be so scared of a second vote. for the mafia to quicklynch from that point, they would both have to pile on, becoming extremely obvious.
