Where's Pooky?

Waldo, what sense does it make to say we have a week to lynch Max if you expect you'll probably change your mind anyway?

It was intended to be a humorous statement. I know we're supposed to read between the lines, but you guys are taking it too seriously.

???

So although you seriously had the day planned around killing Max, saying we had a week to kill him was a joke?

Getting really annoyed with Max. He's posting all over the place but is still not answering my simple question.

I didn't have the day planned around killing specifically Max, but rather the most suspicious person, who just happened to be Max at the time.

This doesn't read to me as "yeah let's definately kill max today, yeah?"

Waterboywaldo (I am going to have to insist you provide us with a nickname there; you could be waterboy, waldo, WBW... pick) seems flippant but not particularly scummy to me.

Hm. You do realise that full second statement was:
Waldo wrote:I didn't have the day planned around killing specifically Max, but rather the most suspicious person, who just happened to be Max at the time.
, and therefore you took it out of context, and there's no contradiction at all...?

I think kabenon is closest to being right. Either you plan the day around finding out who the scum are (which takes time) and then killing them; or you plan the day around killing a specific person. It can't be both.

Not sure I buy the "it was meant as humor". If people attacked me for saying something I didn't really mean, I'd make that clear immediately.

Adele, why the reluctance to vote?

Well, you know, when you vote your suspicions are right there for everyone to see, and that might bite you in the ass later when you contradict yourself out of convenience.

I'd prefer to wait and see a safe wagon to jump on.

I really don't like this:
Sammich wrote:It's rly awkward that ryan voted me without any explanation.

Didn't anyone notice that?
1. He's scared of ryan's vote, but awkward is a "safety word".
2. The question is a lot less assertive than it should be at this stage.

Adele, that was a serious question. Usually you're against people refusing to vote in the random stage, are you not?

Not hugely; I have a much bigger problem with dice-tag votes and self-votes. Plus, like I said, I think the stakes are much lower here than typically. However, if it really bugs you, I'll:

vote: Max

since he really should have answered your question (and mine)

Right. And when both you and kab7 started questioning me, I responded
Well, I did have the day planned around lynching Max. At least, until I became more suspicious of [kab7].
Apparently it wasn't clear enough, as I'm still explaining myself a full page later.

Adele is confusing me.

I don't have a problem with her FOSing somebody instead of voting them, but this is a weak argument. She's worried that her suspicions are there for everyone to see? That's what happens when you FOS somebody too. Heck, just stating your suspicions allows people to see them. This is a poor explanation for her lack of vote.

It's still a contradiction. If he meant whoever was most suspicious, why didn't he say that instead of saying he was focusing on Max? Everyone targets who they think is most suspicious!

EBWOP: I agree with Fiasco as to the I meant it as a joke. It seems too convenient of an excuse, plus, why did he wait to post that it was a joke? Why didn't he say it right away when it came under suspicion?

Because I was screwing around and making....brace yourself.... a joke!
why did he wait to post that it was a joke? Why didn't he say it right away when it came under suspicion?
See post 117.

Glad we could get that all cleared up.

Nothing is cleared. How am I suppose to get anything out of that post as to why you waited to say it was a joke? Your logic escapes me.

(Aimee again... where's Jordan?)

I don't like the way Kab took Waldo's second post out of context at all. I don't see why that was needed, since it really was just trying to frame Waldo there.

I assume Waldo's just joking around (although bizarrely), so I'm inclined to share the same opinion of him as Adele (that he's flippant).

Similarly, I want Max to answer
my
questions too. Where on earth is he?
