Molla, they put in effort in a town way. They are putting more effort than they would need to to stay alive, and they're drawing a lot of attention to themselves in the process trying to solve the game. None of this feels scum motivated at all.

As far as Neil + Venmar/Penguin Alien are concerned I can easily see one of them being scum. Flavor nowithstanding. Without flavor being confirmed to them, you could have some scum neighbor with an ability wherein they don a disguise (something like shippo's ability) or maybe even remote control someone.
Out of Majiffy and notscience, possibly a scum there. I'd guess Majiffy over notscience because notscience started with a shard.

Honestly the most likely scum candidates on leminstake are probably SQ and Muffin if there are. With Muffin being a favorite for scum in between them.

The point is that the potential is there, and at least to me, it isn't that hard to see.
