Of course my counterargument was crap. That's the part that was a joke. A real counterargument is the one I'll offer now:

It was fairly obvious who was going to give scotmany this 'random' number to vote, Cogito was the only other one to post before him and was still in the thread. Just seemed like an awfully non random way to random vote, letting someone else pick your votee. I'm not saying this is definitive, nowhere close, just examining every possibility.

There's a difference between commenting, FoSing, and voting. A lack of willingness to vote anyone is saying that you don't want anyone to think you have strong convictions about anyone, and I agree it's a very defensive move.

Anyways, I didn't feel the need to respond since livin had basically said what I was thinking: I don't think C_D proved his point, and saying he did when I hadn't seen anyone agree with him and I certainly didn't seemed absurd.

You will have to notice that I didn't say he had proved his point. My point was that I liked Chaotic Diablo's evidence more at that point, and that the way you said it seemed like you wouldn't care if he had proved it. That looked extremely scummy to me.

If he had proved it, I would have conceded that he was right. But from my point of view, he didn't come close. I wasn't saying it wouldn't have mattered if he did prove it, I was saying it was incredibly arrogant of him to say he proved a point when he was apparently the only person who thought so.

Whoaa where did this bandwagon come from? Apart from C_D's (bad) reasoning, I don't see any explainations beyond "hypocrisy", which does have some merit, but I'm certaintly not the only one here who has been. To tell the truth, (and I'm aware this isn't a great defense) when I made post 158 I was thinking I was in another game, talking about someone else. I hadn't been around and was basically dropping a placeholder post in all my games, and got people mixed up (also the reason I FoS'd him while I was voting him - complete mistake).

Anyways, I still don't like C_D's self vote, or attacks on livingod for hypocritcal reasons, however this recent band of bandwagon hoppers raises a few more eyebrows.

I find it odd that DoS and C_D both 'missed' TSQ's breakdown post and also happen to be the two I most suspect. It could be coincidence, but it doesn't alleviate the scummy vibes I'm getting from either of them.

Sorry for absence, I was at a party all weekend.

It feels like people are coming up with reasons why DoS is scummy, while my wagon is saying "TJM is the better play" over and over with no substance. I'll admit I've made mistakes, but I've done my best to explain myself. I can see why this could just be considered backpedaling, so I can understand that I'll be suspected. What I don't get is this faction that's trying to force me and DoS into a game of claim chicken. It looks more like scum trying to find power roles than town trying to avoid a mislynch.

It's when I wandered into the Monkey's Head in search of LeChuck's ship. I guess my flavor is basically (instead of the penultimate section of SoMI) that I found myself lost just as a civil war in the depths of hell broke out, and now I'm just trying to stay safe until it blows over. Yes, it's not a Diablo character, but I suppose it's supposed to be the comic relief role.
