We (Dirge, Fletch, Atticus, me) probably couldn't make it as a group for more than 3 days. For now, we're in the "too early to be definite, but we'll start planning our lives around it as soon as the dates are firm" category.

I still think it's a decent idea for the Springfield contingent to all pitch in to rent a 12 to 15-seat passenger van.

I'm glad Thesp and kristocker stepped up as I was never sure MoSFeSt was going forward. I was thinking a Dirge-Do might be in order after all. Basically, I don't believe that Thespival is meant as competition, and I rather

the idea of having a meet in a different part of the country this time.

I AM incredibly excited about playing Cities & Knights. I've been able to get it to the table a few times on the strength of kristocker's endorsement and have fallen in LOVE with the game, but it's so long I generally get groans from everyone else when I suggest it. Can't wait!

Looks like, due to summer classes for a couple of our bunch, we'll be departing Springfield early Thursday afternoon (not sure how that's gonna work with the HP screening as we might not make it -- how long did the drive take you two, Thesp?) and leaving Sunday sometime so they can get back for Monday classes.

Dirge, MeMe, Atticus, Fletcher, mlaker, spork76 with a possibility of Brian, Yoko, and maybe Kate (I'll try to firm that up soonish).

In the last two weeks...

• I've switched jobs
  
• One of our cars died which necessitated the purchase of another
  
• Another of our cars went into a coma which necessitated a pricey repair
  
• Fletcher totalled the only car that was working properly (he's fine)
  
• Our air conditioner went out and needed to be repaired
  
• A computer died which necessitated spending money to tell us it was unfixable...which means we had to buy another

...and WE'RE still coming. It's definitely worth it.

The job switch is a

good

thing -- just double work for a few weeks until a replacement is found for my old position (I'm a soft touch who can't simply cut the old employers off).

And yay! If laying a guilt trip on you means you'll try harder to get there, I feel quite justified in doing so!
