I wanted to post a thread out there about the serious possiblity of hosting Thespival 2007, a meeting of any and all mafiascummers, hosted in the awesome and humbling traditions of jeepfest and MeMeMeet before it. What will you find at Thespival? Well...

So here's the part where we see what interest is here. How many do we count to get ready for? We have a large, open house for hosting people, with a spacious backyard for camping if we run out of room in the house. Situated in beautiful Jackson, Mississippi, we want

to join us for fun, friends and FOSes!

When

: We'll be hosting on the weekend of July 14-15, 2007, plus as many surrounding days as people want to visit us. General festivities will begin the Thursday before (the 12th), on into the weekend and beyond.

We (Dirge, Fletch, Atticus, me) probably couldn't make it as a group for more than 3 days. For now, we're in the "too early to be definite, but we'll start planning our lives around it as soon as the dates are firm" category.

I like how someone compiled data to determine where exactly people like sweet tea, and somehow determined the cut off point in states like florida and texas.

I have to find a way to get 336 dollars for a plane ticket. But if I do, I'm there.

unless I take from my college money. then I'm there, but I probably couldn't go back.

Sorry, guys, it's looking pretty doubtful Quaggy who, during the summer,

a) Needs to work full time to pay for a $15,000/year tuition, and
b) Is already taking two weeks off on a west coast road trip.

However, if the trend continues (wasn't at Jeepfest, was at MeMeMeet, wasn't at Thespival), then I'll be there next year!

No, she lives 8 hours away. I may get my grandmother to mail us some of her most excellent fudge, though.

I would have to talk that over with kristocker, but I'd say it's a possibility.

Would love to attend. But would either need to have a new car by then or find someone to hitch a ride with. I won't even consider trying any sort of long trip in the heap I'm driving now.

I'm working on it, kinda. It's a hell of a drive for me (12 hours.) but I'm somewhat considering this.

I most likely could come if I catch a ride to the airport with someone (I live in the NY), because I don't drive. Driver's Licenses remind me of 1984 too much.

Also, is it cool if I bring my paranormal hunting gear? I kinda need to be on call.

Used to live in the city. Now I'm about 45 minutes north from it, but close enough I can stop by and visit whenever I want.

If I recall, I'll be doing just such a visit to Neutral Grounds this weekend. I believe you will also be there. I imagine you will want my autograph, so bring a pad of paper, a pen, and 20 bucks.

TSA doesn't what? I don't understand who TSA is, or what he doesn't that I apparently do.

Also, I'm 45 minutes northwestish of the city. Like Its quicker for me to loop through Jersey than back to the city than to drive straight NY.
