I could probably get to Jackson for about $200 on Southwest. If someone bakes me cookies, youll have a bigger chance with me.

I'd certainly like to go. Maybe I could follow Dirge, Fletcher Atticus and MeMe to Jackson in another car? This would also open up seats for other Springfield scummers. Possibly spork.

Wouldn't be a party without spork.

I still think it's a decent idea for the Springfield contingent to all pitch in to rent a 12 to 15-seat passenger van.

I have no idea whether I'll even be in the states.

But if I am, you can be sure I'll find a way to get there.

Is that an actual authority now? I wasn't even aware, so I can't speak to as their 1984ittude. But most likely they do.

The TSA is scary. A man traveled in nine cities without anyone realizing he had like a pair of scissors in his bag. TSA personel have been caught sleeping.

But they did catch a guy who was travelling with a brick.

Oh, those guys. I like to avoid Public transit too. I usually get people to drive me. So if you want you are implying is I don't drive but I do ride the subway, such is not the case.

But in regards to planes, they usually don't need to know my height, age, full name, hair color, if I wear glasses, whether or not I am 21, if I am married, where I live, or what my birthday is. They just want to know if I got drugs in my shoes, which I do not. So I will fly, but I will not learn to drive.

We could make a pitcher of that, too. Along with some fresh-baked cookies.

yeah, what about MoS faire which has already been on the drawing boards for months and some people (read: me) have pretty much already committed to, I don't think it's really fair if we have 2 competing, if you will, mettups near the same time. you know?

I'm pretty sure people are allowed to gather without mith's permission...
please correct me if I'm wrong, oh mighty one
. I'll also point out...

There were requests for a definitive date/place for the next meet-up in the MeMeMeet thread and I saw no "here's the date" from MoS (
I'm
the one who gave a tentative date for another midwest meet -- in the MeMeMeet Musings thread -- IIRC).

I'm glad Thesp and kristocker stepped up as I was never sure MoSFeSt was going forward. I was thinking a Dirge-Do might be in order after all. Basically, I don't believe that Thespival is meant as competition, and I rather
like
the idea of having a meet in a different part of the country this time.

I wasn't saying that MeMe, that was just the reason that mos told me he hadn't made a thread of finalized mos-faire was because mith hadn't given the go ahead yet.

But i think regardless i shall go to illnois for mos-faire because mississippi is way to far away for me. That is just my opinion though.
