I've seen this sort of post come more often from scum than town. I'm talking about a jokey sort of shoulder shrug 'stop voting me' response to someone (in this case SpyreX) asking for their head and the person not really knowing what to do, and thus resorting to humor.

And the timing issue I had with your vote on Implosion is exactly what you state, it was when Quilford was put at L1 and when it was literally impossible for anything to happen other than him to get lynched. And no, at that time the number of votes on both lynches were not even close, one was L-1 the other was L-11 so the fact that you wait for the difference in votes to be that extreme screams as a distancing vote.

The theory on withholding reads is:

1) Focusing on 1 person who you strongly believe is scum means that these thoughts are at the forefront of peoples minds. I'm not doing a good job of it because my motivation has become null since the Oman incident.

Nnnngh tempted to say that's because he's laguz, but I don't see why pretty much half the game wouldn't be able to be identified via nation cop when there's already a likelihood of false positives/negatives. And yes, I believe LLD's claim. In Mafia with the Kitties, there was a town name cop, created to unravel fakeclaims (and one of the scum had a fakeclaim with the same name, different character. Tricksy Vi). Vi loves to mess with this kind of stuff that deals with claims and not definitive results like sane full cops.

Dana himself is already confirmed town, and sharing informaiton at this juncture isn't necessary. If a scumbag makes a claim that conflicts with whatever his info/results are, fine. Also, this only solidifies my opinion that one of DDD/LLD is scum, if Dana has ~some kind~ of information role. We are not lynching outside of that pair today.

Yeah, there was a lot of "heyyyy, I'm not so suuure about you...", but I legit have a hard time reading them because their out-of-game relationship invariably seeps into their gameplay when they are playing together. Noncommittal is a good word. It seemed like they both wanted to make it seem like they were okay offing the other, and there was quite a bit of word chioce that looked like distancing-without-really-wanting-to-analyze-each-others'-alignments.

What has me hung up right now is LLD's desire to 1v1 DDD. If there are two scums and you're the only target left, and they can block you like they've been doing to Dana, it makes sense... but it also means that we cannot win at this point. If she's the only scum left, and/or there are two targets left, it seems like a bad play unless she is *really* confident that her buddy won't go down tomorrow *AND* can kill off the last two people on the list tonight/tomorrow-night.

Alternatively I'm town and DDD is scum because a second full on country cop makes very little sense.

I came clean with the Daein claim for a couple of reasons:

1) It was my reason to believe there would be false positives/negatives in the game.
2) After the SpyreX lynch didn't pan out like I thought it would, I felt obligated to explain myself.

While it did occur to me that me being from Daein might indicate another investigative role, I remain assured that it wouldn't be a second FULL BLOWN COUNTRY COP.

Something along the lines of a Voyeur was more what I would expect. I don't know. I wasn't really thinking about it.

First off I do want to apologize for not counter-claiming LLD near immediately, guess there's a reason the conventional wisdom is understood to be conventional. I guess if I was designing the setup I would've done several things differently and that biased my perspective.

This group is completely useless and went into turn their brain off mode way too early: ToastyToast, Magister Ludi, danakillsu, Katsuki, and Nikanor. Because I was signalling town as hard and as often as I know how.

Tierce and Glork hurt because they were both right for so much of the critical day. Tierce was probably the only reason we got as close as we did on D7 standing behind me and then for her to flop on me hurt. And Glork was right about one of LLD/DDD being scum which I didn't want to accept and he even got which one of us was scum right initially but then hammered me basically to get any lynch instead of the right lynch.

Vi, I think I mentioned it in passing but while I agree with the neccesity of the modkill it was something where you completely outsmarted yourself and created a potential hazard where one didn't need to exist. Additionally, while the core of the game might have been interesting to rehabilitate I'm not sure it works that well even after rehab. Furthermore, the blue numbers of doom was a completely bad idea; with the battery mechanic the town has some idea of what to expect, here we were completely in the dark and designing a mechnic around how a single town behaved to a different mechanic probably isn't the best idea.

Absolutely no regrets in playing the game in terms of design or playerbase but if offered the chance to do it again I probably would not accept.
