I actually forgot about this until now. In Mafia in the Back Room, as town I had an ability where I would target player X and all other players who targeted player X would have their non-kill actions fail. In my mind it made sense that someone with that ability had targeted SpyreX on N2 which would explain the double no result neatly; however it hasn't really come up so no idea if I was right or wrong.

Well obviously if I ended up last in a massclaim then I'd lose all my confirmability; I would need to at least partially claim early in the process so it was clear I wasn't just using provided information.

You mean a Rolestopper variant. I mentioned it in this game . It's possible it was/is one of the scum's abilities, instead of an actual roleblocker.

I've never seen it given an actual name so that's probably why it didn't register for me that you'd already suggested it.

Also, GreyICE's role is the equivalent of Felix from Mafia w/the Kitties, or whatever the godfather was in Blood Bowl. I really don't expect there to be more than one "godfather." The Daliah role is just an elegant way of giving us a non-standard/breaking cop, and still giving scums (Godfather, and an SK) investigative immunity.

Creating a bunch of same-natured investigative roles with a bunch of same-natured "godfather" scums is cluttered and swingy design. It turns a pile of roles into mere novelties, rather than something elegant that can be mostly-relied on. From what I know about Vi's approach to design, having more inv-immune scum beyond Daliah doesn't fit. Giving them a single "godfather" does.

First off, I need an elaboration on the back half of this? What are you saying?

Secondly, I'm positive DDD is scum. Can you explain why he is town, given his investigation results+ the timing of his claim? Also, there's no way there are 2 (3?) country cops.

Further, with the amount of people going "OH THERE TOTES CAN BE 2 TOWN COUNTRY COPS" I don't trust you people to lynch DDD based on my flip.

DDD dies. Today.

I have to question why you would do this, given your expressed beliefs that:

1) The scum have at MOST 2 targets left.
2) There are 2 scum left.
3) DDD is scum.

Like, if everything is as you say, mislynching me today over DDD could cost you the game. I find it very hard to believe town!Glork would be so apathetic about this.

I need to start looking for a DDD buddy. Unfortunately, despite my paranoia, Glork is pretty damn town. Trying to find game breaking strategies is town.

Tierce and Tammy are town because Day 1 don't lie.

Hindu is rock solid town.

Dana is CONFIRMED town.

Time to Edgar Allen this shit. (... because he's Edgar Allen PoE).

2. Teleporting Speed Hippos (AurorusVox + PeregrineV hydra) replacing AurorusVox pregame
6. Gammagooey
11. Katsuki
13. Magister Ludi
17. Nikanor
22. singersigner
26. ToastyToast

Singer's not scum. I don't think TSH is either.

Nikanor/Gamma/Kats, I think of all of them, Gamma is most likely scum, followed by Nikanor.

Toasty was RBd on a night with no kill, very likely to be a buddy?

ML seems pretty townie, but he's been very silent this game.

My list of DDD buddies is:

1. Toasty
2. Gamma
3. ML
4. Nik

@LLD: how am I likely to be a DDD buddy? Like, I understand if you think the RB implicates me, but as DDD's buddy?

Just because you were RB'd.

DDD has to be scum. I'm not scum and there's not 2 Country Cops.

It's not due to any connection between you two. I'm just operating off the perspective I have where DDD must be scum.

I really don't think Toasty is scum right now...

EBWOP: Plus, Toasty is 100% pro-DDD lynch. Pretty sure it's near-suicidal for scum to be busing at this point.

And I actually completely forgot about this.

Do you think scum would try and kill her though? Knowing she would commute?

I guess it's entirely possible. Infact, it might be the only other possible explanation?

So, let's assume Toasty is town then and they tried to kill Tammy.

Who would advocate a Tammy death?

More importantly, who would want HINDU dead too?

I think this sentiment becomes less true as the number of targets alive for scum dwindle. Lower the number, more chance for bussing.

Especially if they know who they need to kill. I still don't think DDD was truthful about his targets.

Tammy calimed to be the King of Kilvas.... if indeed the scums' targets are "royalty," like Empress King Tibarn (MoI), Empress Sanaki (Alch, who is also on TSH's list of protectees), and Queen Elincia, then any scum would want Tammy dead...
