Literally all I was saying with that is "last time I saw a situation like this the person accusing the other person of directing the town turned out to be right, and I don't like the fact that Mariyta has votes for that." I said NOTHING about "well, LAST time the person who was directing the town was scum, so that must be the case THIS time too." I've seen plenty of times where town directed the town too (COUGHFATECOUGH), I'm just saying voting someone for saying someone else was directing the town is dumb.

My vote is still on Katy because her reason for voting Mariyta is entirely too nebulous for my tastes and also because she's one of like 2 people here I've never played with or seen in action before and have thus prioritized getting a read on.

@gandalf: Frodo used the Ring. Sam used the Ring (briefly). Bilbo used the Ring. Quite a few elves used a ring, if not the Ring. There may be dwarves somewhere that use a ring even if we don't see it in LotR (at least, not to my rusty recollection). I see no reason to believe that the scumteam can't use the Ring. And again, even if they can't, they'd still probably rather keep it for themselves than let a townie get a stronger power, so it's kind of a moot point and I don't see why you're arguing

Gandalf has my meta all ass-backwards. In the game he referenced, I was tunneled on gandalf, realized Razgriz was SCUMMY AS ALL HELL, but hesitated de-railing my wagon because Gandalf's claim was full of such bullshit...

Turns out Gand was town and Razgriz was scum.

OBJECTION REDUX mafia which AGM was in and Spy as well, I nailed 2/3 the scumteam, and my third pick for scum was VV and I lynched him and he was town. So my SECONDARY targets are usually scum.

Up until this point neither Singer nor Mari had been truly scrutinized (aside from Quadz’s case on Mari which was at a standstill), and now Mari/Hohum is a likely lynch candidate. Also, when MS entered the game and these cases were made, what happened? Attention was taken away from Plum, and she has since relaxed and no longer seems quite as driven by the nervous energy that informed her early play.

It’s a bit of a conundrum that MS is in fact a hydra; dealing with both heads (and one that apparently “waffles” a lot) allows for a certain amount of grace for inconsistency that isn’t afforded to the rest of us. MS scum could be getting away with target fishing and fence-sitting solely because of this, which I don’t like—especially since MoI has pointed out how often Mina is waffling in their QT. I often find drawing attention to something like that is a tell of sorts; it’s something he’s worried about, so he mentions it to sort of diffuse suspicions of it. Also of note: Mina’s first post was very sympathetic to Plum; MoI’s posts considerably less so.

MS and Plum make sense as partners to me; Plum’s relief at being removed from the spotlight is apparent. MS is keeping a safe distance from Plum, not totally clearing her but not focusing on her, either. I can also see the Hohum/Plum pairing, but Mari’s early interactions with Plum didn’t strike me that way; I need to do some more rereading for that.

Either way, I can only fit two of these three into a scum equation, and Plum fits in both pairings. I’ve got an “either/or” read on MS and Hohum; still trying to work it out.

problems with Maritya's #210:

1. no problem there. plum IS scum.
2. why don't you want plum lynched? you admit she's scum.
3. why not just lynch her instead of making a case? if you believe she's scum and you're not her scumbuddy, this is the wrong thing to do.
4. there is no reason not to like a vote on scum. whatsoever.

Spyrex is getting me antsy with his antics. Maritya/hohum lynch is a go. SS is dumbtown. Quadz is possibly scum. AGM is probtown imo. Still nervous about a few other people, but not nervous enough to remember their names. So, post-night thoughts:

1. agm is still town. imbue him.
2. hohum is worthless, but may very well be town. Andrius: request force-replacement on hohum
3. singersigner IS dumbtown
4. has quadz told us what his superpower does?
5. spyrex is still scum.
6. plum. when you read this... HA HA HA PWNT
7. gandalf is terribly town
8. masterspy is really trying hard to make ss look scummy. that could either be a) classic magna tunneling-on-town-to-make-sure-that-town-gets-lynched-and-then-when-she-DOES-get-lynched-he-can-go-"oh whoops well she was scummy dudez"-and-get-off-w/-a-mislynch-scot-free, which it's not, because it's mina posting, or b) could be mina pulling magna's MO (which could make sense because they're hydra-ing and he could be "coaching" her who he thinks is the easiest mislynch, even though SS is almost 100% just dumbtown, or c) they could be town and SS really COULD be scum. which looks likely from reading the exchange, but you also have to remember that singersigner is a pretty weak player, especially when compared to stronger players like magna and mina, and even moreso when they put their heads together. so overall, i'd give SS a null read again instead of town. so dumbnull on her, and i definitely think mina makes masterspy look much less scummy in the last few posts, so yeah.
