Also 'Overreaction and opportunism' are lovely buzz words, but really I don't see either of them being applicable. Examples.
And opportunism because it's the pushing of something easy.<3 Kise, Reck, dram, tans, & Kats <3-

That's not how I was like at all and what an inaccurate way to represent me. Zwet claimed while we were still in confirmations. Game play was not supposed to begin yet and instead of PMing the mod, he decided to post in thread and thus reveal his role prior to gameplay beginning.
When EK replaced, I did want to give her a clean slate to start from, especially after all the fucktarded things that Zwet did. I truly felt, and still feel, that he ruined the game and that led to my eventual lynch.
I just don't see the similarities between the above situation and this game.<3 Kise, Reck, dram, tans, & Kats <3-

I also believe you are inaccurately representing me here. "LET'S NOT ALL GET CAUGHT UP IN RVS GUYS" is not what I meant at all. It was pretty obvious that he was joking in that post, and quite a few people took it seriously and as a scum tell and ran with it. That's where I feel the opportunism and overreaction came from.
Instead of asking for him to clarify, they jumped all over him. People that are normally cautious about that type of thing.
So no, the premise between this game and Twilight is definitely NOT the same.<3 Kise, Reck, dram, tans, & Kats <3-

J-Scope, I know that Zwet wasn't the cause of my lynch in that game. But that situation was the start of what would eventually lead to my lynch. Are we done with this distraction now? We have a game at hand, and discussing a game that ended over six months ago is not going to get us anywhere here.<3 Kise, Reck, dram, tans, & Kats <3-

How was everyone's holiday weekend? My hubby made some awesome ham yesterday. =)
Catching back up due to my absence over the weekend.
First off,
Unvote
it's time to be rid of my RVS vote.
On ooba
So why would you need to place more pressure on someone if you didn't even read through the game to see why he was being voted in the first place?ooba wrote:

That is not what I was saying at all. Nice misrepresentation.ooba wrote:Whats wrong with serious votes in RVS stage - we get over random voting faster and actual discussion can start

Also, if you are going to do a big catch up like that, can you list who wrote the posts you are talking about along with the #? It would be a lot less confusing that way.

Why would you even say something like this?Jack wrote:So far the only thing I have to say is, breadcrumbing your role if you're a cop is stupid.

You ask him in Post 164 of why doesn't he share his motivation, when he already did in the above quote from Post 161.
I'm not liking your near constant deflection of Spyre's questions to you through the rest of page 7.
In Post 256, Jack votes Cyberbob "for being rude among other things". Some contribution and especially, A CASE, would be most delightful.

What's with all the voting and unvoting, but not saying a word?

Agreed. I still don't understand why it was brought up in the first place. I see no correlation.Cyberbob wrote:Don't like all the talk about previous games and whatnot in the middle of Page 5, I don't really see that it has much relevance to this one.

Please list a name with the Post #. Some of them are easy to figure out who, but it would make it easier on everyone, if you could list the person who wrote the post that you are referring to.

I'm not so sure on the Jack wagon because I have seen him do similar things in other games and come up as town. As someone who has a typically scummy meta when I'm town and the fact that I've seen something like this before from Jack, I probably won't support his lynch.<3 Kise, Reck, dram, tans, & Kats <3-

Sorry guys, uber busy weekend.
On Xofelf
Right now, to me, it feels that the Elf wagon is more like vengeance on Sens' part, rather than actual gameplay. That's why I'm staying away.Drippereth wrote:Lack of xofelf wagon makes me unhappy. Sorry guys, I fell a bit behind. Also, when I came back to catch up on Monday, the thread was locked.
I definitely see why everyone switched to FFFF, had I been here, I would have done the same.
Also with the fact of xofelf flipping town, I am definitely sure that scum was behind that very opportunistic lynch.
Destroy: FFFF
@xvart -
Why?xvart wrote:I'm thinking maybe we should destroy Escouta instead of FFFF.
I think you are going a bit overboard with this, Iec. You can't hold what games someone catches up with first against them. I know that I normally save my big catch up games until later, especially if I am at work.Iecerint wrote:It's based on introspection. I personally have a habit of (barring special circumstances) avoiding my scumgames relative to my towngames. (I also ignore VT games relatively more, but your posts imply that that does not parsimoniously explain your behavior IMO.)
I'm not disputing that you posted relatively few times, or that your lack of access was legitimate. I'm pointing out that your time management choices reflect poorly on your alignment.
I do agree with the fact that he was gone for all of yesterday and that warrants suspicion, but not the order in which he caught up on his games.
You are reaching a lot with this issue.
Let's look at the keyword in all of this...Iecerint wrote:Yep, I think it's appropriate. My assumption is that most players tend to have that tendency. Are you saying that you do not have that tendency?
I don't have to make the other assumption at all, though I grant that that information would be helpful.

Apparently, you didn't notice that I think his absence for an entire day warrants suspicion.
Whether you think I'm providing excuses for him or not, this is a distracting topic. It's not the fact that he was posting in other games. You are getting annoyed because he didn't catch up here first, rather than being suspicious of his active lurking in this game.
Also, what don't I have against assumptions? You should never assume anything.<3 Kise, Reck, dram, tans, & Kats <3-

Xvart - my one issue with you is that if you go V/LA. You are V/LA from all your games. You don't pick and choose.
I did use msutils.net and see that you hadn't posted in this game since Sunday, April 11th, but you had enough time to post in your other games all last week, which was more than just posting in your Newbie game as you previously state. You have 19 posts in those other games before the Newbie one starts on Thursday.
You don't post anything after Friday, the 16th and offer your "I'll be back tonight and post then" posts in each of your games on Sunday, the 18th. You posted in your other games and didn't post here until today.<3 Kise, Reck, dram, tans, & Kats <3-

What 2 specific short term instances?Iecerint wrote:My definition of "active lurking" is not posting in one game while posting in other games. I agree that that is what xvart has done. I didn't use that phrase specifically at first because the circumstances are a little different ("active lurking" tends to imply that the preferential treatment of games takes place over an extended period of time, whereas this case refers to preferential treatment in 2 specific short-term instances).
In other words, I think his behavior is functionally equivalent to active lurking, and I agree that that is the scummy part.
His last legitimate post was on April 11th. He did not post again until April 18th which was "I will catch up later" and then he finally posted substance today. In grand total, that's 10 days! How is that not an extended period of time?<3 Kise, Reck, dram, tans, & Kats <3-

You had time between your post on the 11th and when the thread locked on the 13th. You have 6 posts in other games during this time.
You also had time between when the thread unlocked on the 15th and when it locked on the 18th. You had 2 posts on the 16th in other games.
