10. At deadline, the required number of votes to lynch is 1/2 of the
normal amount, also rounded down (if it would be 6, it is 3; if 5, also 3). However, once there are 7 or less players alive a full majority will be required to lynch.

11. Roles will be revealed upon death.

12. Once a player has been lynched they are allowed a single 'bah' post with no game related content.

13. Once a lynch count has been reached, the game enters twilight. During twilight anyone except the lynched player may continue to speak until I post a death scene.

14. By signing up for this game you have agreed to treat it as a commitment. I expect you to honor that commitment.

15. Day Phases will have a non retractable deadline of 3 real life weeks. Night Phases will have a non retractable deadline of 72 hours.

16. If a player has not posted in 48 hours then I will prod them. They will then have 24 hours to respond

The first day starts out with all of the players quite vocally accusing each other of being one of the ones that your overlords hired to kill you all, except for a few, who seemed to think that they could kill the overlords themselves to save themselves the trouble. Most quickly turned to more . . . productive tasks, but one, ZazieR, seemed to go catotonic after asking the town to lynch one of the overlords. Shortly thereafter, she simply vanished, and was replaced by BrokenBlueprints.

Soon, though, people began to get the idea that the overlords actually WERE taking part in the game. The conversation went something like this:

Bleh. It bothers me to watch you all continue to put effort into this game when magnus and I noticed the rather glaring flaw in it.

Scum have almost no chance of losing right now, due to a progression that your idiot mod didn't foresee. I've PMed MeMe about getting permission for a restart (after rebalancing and some role shuffling to avoid having the setup broken by people remembering their roles). If you're interested in playing in the restarted game (assuming permission is granted), simply /in in this thread, and any who don't want to participate in the restart will have replacements hunted down for them.

Since this is not an open game, and since it will hopefully be restarted, I would ask that no further role information be shared, as some of it will pretty much have to be reused, and I'd prefer to avoid confirmations via that method.

My apologies for the wasted effort put into a broken game.

MeMe has just given permission for the restart.

The problem was that, if the lynchers were eliminated D1, and the lovers were outted D2, then the scum would win automatically N2. This possibility escaped me when I was originally balancing the game, which is why I went ahead with such a craptastic setup design.

It shouldn't take me more than a day, maybe two, to rebalance the game and change up enough things to keep it from being breakable by claims, so like I said, if you want to re/in, please do so in thread, and when I have confirmations from everyone playing that they either do or do not wish to play, I will see about getting the replacements necessary.

I'm aware of this issue. Steps are being taken to keep this from happening, whether it be changing some alignments or swapping around rolenames, or eliminating some roles altogether and replacing them with roles that weren't included, etc. Don't worry, the restart will not be breakable, and the balance will be fine.

I might start having to auto-join Kairyuu games in the future if this kind of modding for game style is going to be a regular occurrence.

I am a card-carrying member of the Tarhalindur fanclub, of which UK is also a member. I take much of the inspiration for my modding from Tar, and the Green Room will always be a staple of my games, so if that means you'll want to play in my games more often, then you're always welcome to pre-/in or /in directly.

As a side note, I'm pleased to see that your play has improved considerably since the first time I ran into you (in Choose Carefully). I'm quite impressed.

There was exactly one piece of information shared in the Green Room, and it was simply the existance of a link between two players. The nature of the link was not disclosed.

However, the more I think about it, the more I realize that you're right. Full setup (I'm not including role PMs) is as follows:

Note: Lynching either of the mods WOULD have resulted in an in-game effect. Pah. I've been screwing cops since my first modded game on here! And not in the obvious double entendre way SocioPath is going to point out!

The first UK-mod game I actually payed attention to was Umineko. The other three were run when I was either a)still rather new and not comfortable with complexity, b)on one of the two temporary breaks I took from the site, or c)I wasn't paying attention to the queue and missed the signups.

A word of caution on the revamped setup. The first time had fairly standard roles. This one makes no such guarantee. The only thing you know for certain in this game is that you're linked to at least one other person in some way, even if that link is not apparent at first (or hell, at all). Also, role sources may be more varied this time.
