Two things that I think you're missing out on, socio:

{Sucking up to UK} I didn't congratulate Kitteh for scumhunting, I'm trying to provide an example of actually progressing the game. Nobody (including "me") was doing so at the time so I brought to light what more people should strive towards. I wasn't aiming for brownie points with UK either (which is what's implied by sucking up) .

{Voting} This is our second game as a hydra. Last game here I (Amish) did all the voting too. It's easier so we're not fighting each other and confusing everybody else. Progressing the game then having a line of a joke is fine, cause THE GAME IS STILL MOVING FORWARD.

{Joking} Roughly 95% of the jokes came from Ray. Him not talking about 1 line in a serious post makes us scum?

{Miles} He was the prime (and most recent) candidate of fluff posting. If I could've voted for everyone, I would've. As such, I picked a figurehead to see how he would react, make the game move forward as people will realize that pure joking isn't tolerated. Dual purpose votes, ftw.

{Annoying} People voting without saying reasons doesn't irk you? That's the reason for the annoyance. After playing with countless lurkers and brash posters; your playstyle is far from extreme or annoying.

Well I shouldn't, but whatever. Explaining this, as you will soon see, indeed defeats itself. If magnus_orion is NK'd or lynched without me on his wagon, I become (of course) not a lyncher anymore. My hope for staying alive was that he WOULD be NK'd and I would become a survivor. Noone would know and I could win the game while helping town without the scum knowing that I would win anyway. Now that I said that, though, it makes it much less likely to happen, because scum might eventually kill me just to spite me.

I'm not proposing lynching a confirmed town player. I'm proposing lynching a player who I find likely scum, and whose death won't be a disaster for the town. dana's 363 takes my "if he's town, it's no great loss" bit, and implies that I believe his claim and want to lynch him anyway. Unfortunately for that particular argument, that's nowhere in my posts. Saying that the worse case scenario isn't that bad is not tantamount to saying I'd take it given the choice, and it's not saying I believe it to be the case.

I have a problem with you only asking Miles the question. After Miles provided a bad answer, you didn't stop to think and check on UK's and SP's reasons, just to be sure theirs were actually good.
Now that I think about it, though, this probably isn't a tell.

Well it's somehow been a good two pages since I admitted my real role, and I still haven't been lynched. So I might as well just tell you my honest thoughts about the scum in the game.
As already stated, I find fishy scummy. He is willing to just go along with the flow and let others do the reasoning for him. This is a guy to watch closely.
Miles Prower: Still trying hard to stay away from posting content. His reasons for believing the mods to be in this game are still unexplained, and I don't believe he is the lynchee, as he wouldn't believe the mods were in this game if he had one of their roles. Strange...
And finally, I must discuss UK. You might laugh and pass it off as OMGUS, but I just find it really strange that he clings to his idea that I'm probably scum and not lyncher, and that I should be lynched without being given the chance to help town. that could very well be because he doesn't want me to help town.
