Wow, some of you guys were playing in my last Newbie.

Vote: Echo

Because echoes at the repetition what people say produced by the reflection of sound waves from a wall, mountain or or other obstructing surface. It means he going to repeat points that we make. lol

Does anyone know if 'The Producers' can tell us who the scum are? Or are the producers the scum? Either way, bribary probably wont work :(
- joking...although maybe the scum should tell us if it would work...

PS. Anticollie, I don't spell check either. lol. I also don't write everything I want to say in one post, then when I do want to say it I'm too impatient to wait for another person to post before I do again...expect multi posting, something I apologise for in advance.

So...which of you are town?

I think it safe to presume that a Newbie town would hammer. In my first game, I hammered a guy and he turned out town, admittedly it wasn't a quicklynch though, learnt my lesson there anyway.

When a scum hammers, it's likely they will use bad flimsy logic so that's something to look out for. I'm not saying that will always happen, but there's about a 70% chance it could.

While you have posted several times, the only post I found to have meaning was post 60, all the rest are either answers to questions about mechanics, or solving auditor's poems. Post more, or I'll vote you (I detest lurking)
Sorry everyone, recently had my hands full with 2 mini's, if you want proof of the go for it. I will definately start posting more content. Once again, I apologise.

I shall say it once again though, please stop being so obscure, Auditor, a guy in Newbie 770 (end gamed now) was lynched because he wouldn't stop writing in rhyme. Ultimatum: Quit the poems, the riddles and the codes and start posting in the same dialodge as the rest of us, or I will be voting for you. By now, you're intentionally preventing the town from gaining knowledge. That equals scummy in my books. (We must be glad that he does not have mod powers and re-write all our posts to his format)

I think Onion was scummy for wanting to put somebody at L-1 for entertainment purposes, so he's on my 'may be scum' list aswell.

Anticollie, I can't decide whether you're aggressiveness is a playstyle or could be considered you having something to hide?
Your point towards me in your post about everyone could be misinterpretted as such, care to clear that up?

I don't like that what Ric did with his bandwagon vote either, I think Auditor may be spot on when he said he panicked.

Raeil is giving off town vibes though, with his good questioning of other players. The same with Cyren, actually.

Sideney! Get your jacksie back in this game! You too, Echo! Although he did say he had exams.

In answer to your question, Raeil, I no longer do find Echo to be the scummiest, that was part of the random voting stage, since that is obviously over, I shall
unvote

I find things difficult at the beginning of games, you see, I'm a Meta Queen, meaning I read as many games as possible from the players in the game to check out their game technique as scum and town ect and similarities with the game they're in with me. But it has recently been drawn to my attention that meta-ing is inappropriate in Newbie games so I must refrain from doing it. Trouble is, because we usually have very little information Day One, this is where I tend to get the majority of my info from.
Raeil wrote: Haylen, take a moment to just read the post right before yours (Anticollie, do the same). I don't have any problem understanding anything he's written. Actually, it seems quite clear, to me at least.
I know, I just fear I will need to write an interpretation everytime Auditor makes a post just in case my interpretation is wrong.
Anticollie wrote: Refusing the see the poison and danger of WIFOM is assuredly deserving of a second look.
I'm gathering this is why people keep whining at me about it in my other games. Can you please clear up why it is a bad thing? It hasn't been explained to me and the wiki didn't help in explaining why it's bad for the town either :?

I have no other opinions at the moment, however, I will go back and do a full game re-read (and most likely be disgusted at my out post content)

Indeed I could, if it wasn't for my highly unstable internet connection right now. If you've been taking note of my recent activity, you'll see the only things I have posted are about how I can't analyse posts on other pages because my internet times out so quickly. I could like you to a long paragraph I once wrote about how patience is a virtue. I would bite your head off about it right now, but I've been told that's inappropritate. Also, it takes me a long time to write posts as I have the attention span of a 4 yr old on pepsi...stupid tetris, stupid bubble game...

The post, as promised. Oh FFS 6 TIMES! 6 TIMES I LOST THIS POST! ARGH! I don't think it's as good as my first though.

Anticollie
- Calls Onion on putting Cyren at L-1 in a completely truthful way. No exaggeration ect.
- Stays consistant so far throughout the game. Sticks with the Onion argument and doesn't backtrack. This could be considered tunnelling were it not for his commenting and questioning of other player.
- His posts are very clear and very detailed. They have a very honest feel to them. Although, I like that structure, please keep it.
- All of this and my instinct makes me think that Anticollie is most likely to be town.

Auditor
- Says writing in verse makes people look through the layers and thinks scum wont be able to read it. Seems to think that scum might not actually be intelligent, or that the town may not even understand.
Then i shall ne'er bother you
with prefix harsh or fair!"
This sounds like he is bribing Raeil to interpret the way he's saying it as they way he want him to. If Raeil interprets what he is saying the way he wants it to be, then he wont say Raeil's scum. It's like he's saying "don't question me, just listen" if you see what I mean. I interpret this as trying to hide away as scum.
-
Sometimes what i say is true,
but if my opinion muddles you,
do not worry about such things.
Its only just a little sting -
Which means sometimes he's lying. Telling us not to worry if we don't understand what he means. I don't like this, he's just admitted to lying which is a completely scum thing to do. NEVER say the word "sting" to me GRRRRRR.
"Hip hip hooray" for all to see,
ill not enjoy your misery.
Emotional Appeal, if we don't listen to him then town will lose. Scummy.
Why admit to keeping track
of other players (behind their back)
when now they know of your intention
they can play for misdirection?
Bullcrap is keeping tabs on people a scumtell! I've kept spreadsheets of peoples actions such as voting/unvoting, comments on the ect since I started playing. Including in my first game, where I was proven town. He's reaching. That's scummy.

A NOTE TO ALL OF YOU: To explain to all of you in a better way, it is not scummy for a person to keep track of players, it is very useful and I would encourage it. It is very good practice and makes reading the game easier.
then to any actual rolefishing which was what we had at the beginning of the game
SLIP!!! Nobody was rolefishing, we're trying to work out who scum are. Was Auditor trying to rolefish though? Meaning was he trying to find out if there are any powerroles?

His last few posts were pretty useless. I think Auditor is most likely to be scum. I realise he has been replaced and I now need to remember who that replacement is. Either way, because of Auditor's actions, I will vote for his replacement in my next post - when I see who it is. (filtering posts again)

Onion
- Put's Cyren at L-1 for entertainment purposes. He advocated sacrificing a townie in order to find scum. This isn't right, for one, I think that's bad play. I think he wanted a person to hammer so he could frame them day 2 for the lynch. Scummy action.
- I'm glad you think I feel like an IC, I'm not though, by the time I've finished all the games I'm currently in, I will be.
- The rest of his posts dont appear scummy to me. He asks questions, casts suspicion and and puts in a lot of detail. He is on my list of possible scum though.

Sideney.
Ah, so now we get to Sideney, my hypocritical fellow player. He lurks, he posts useless stuff and then blames me for doing the same. I think he's trying to draw attention to someone else, rather than have it focused on himself. That is why he is on my scum list too.

Echo
- Similar to Sideney, but he did give reasons. The rest of his posts have been to nearly the same standard as Anticollie's. I see nothing wrong with them, all of the things he has put forward have been valid. He's on my town list.

And that's all that matters for now. The players I haven't posted about, I have nothing against you, but you're my in the middle of my town scale.

Town---Anticollie---Echo---(other players*)---Onion/Ric---Sideney---Auditor/replacement

*I can't remember who replaced who. So sue me.

PS Raskol - If you go back at look at the nature of those posts I've made, you'll see I was a) confirming/starting a new game b) posting about technical difficults c) defending myself whilst at L-1. Some things I have to do before I do other things, you get me?

Ric, by lost, I mean I've either lost it because the systems logged me out, lost it because microsoft crashed, or lost it because because my computer's crashed. This is called Sod's Law and isn't a scum tell.

Raskol, if this is your first game then you probably have a very skewed idea of what is scummy. I suggest you don't completely ignore what I'm saying because you're completely barking up the wrong tree. I don't lie about things like my computer crashing ect, so get your facts right. It's poor play to do that. Now I suggest you stop tunnelling me (which is by the way, one of the scumtells from Tarhalindur's standard tells) and start actually scumhunting

Raskol wrote: Telling me to stop "tunneling" you because someone might find me scummy for it (ohnoes!) is super scummy.
Um, no it's not! I've done it plenty of times and people have actually said they agree with me, if you'd actually taken note of the posts you linked, you would've seen that.
Raskol wrote: Everything you've done, though, has just made you seem scummier and scummier
Oh dear! I have a selfconfessed controversial playstyle. Other people say the same, it's still developing. And if you're town, you really need to work on your selective scumhunting because a) it's a reason i'm voting for you. b) it'll come back to haunt you later on, so it's best to sort out whilst in a newbie game.

Raskol, may I reference you to this page
http://www.mafiascum.net/wiki/index.php ... Version.29

That is what I'm getting at, it can be used in this situation to. It's not only I, but many other far more experienced members of this site agree with it. Tunnelling or selective scumhunting is a scumtell. By not questioning other players and concentrating on me, you're tunnelling.

I wasn't appealing to emotion, I'm actually trying to help you improve your play. I would like Anticollie to weigh in here with his opinion on this when he has the time.

I voted you because yourself and Auditor committed scumtells. Not OMGUS, they're crap votes and I totally disagree with them.

Raskol wrote: Second: you clearly don't understand the wiki entry you linked to.
Um clearly i do. It can apply to general play aswell. Would you like a list of games which prove I'm blatantly right?
Now, it is really hard for me to tell at this point whether you are a really bad scum or a really bad townie player, but honestly the amount of craplogic you are throwing at me is really amazing.
I really don't see how what I'm saying is crap logic. And honestly, if you don't see how that wiki can be applied to this situation then clearly you are scum trying to cover his own back.
Echo wrote: Are you referring to the same playstyle in these two posts?
Definately. I've got some of my playstyle sorted out but the rest of it is aweful. Would you like a link to a game where I meta'd everybody to death but was still called scummy because my playstyle's controversial? I've got a fresh one right here, just been lynched for those exact reasons.
Echo wrote: couldn't find an exact article, but that sounds like something along the lines of Appeal to Majority or Argument from Repetition (in a sense) to me. Also, Haylen is telling Raskol that someone else will find him scummy for focussing only on her. I don't think anyone here can speak for anyone else.
No. Most people agree with the tunnelling thing. And I would also advise you not to misrepresent me Echo, I never said somebody else IN THIS GAME would find him scummy. I said people in other games would, in Little Italy or somewhere like that.
I'm curious now. When does this apply?
Tunnelling is focusing on one player, it is a scum tactic to target one player and keep on and on at them like Raskol has been. That wiki does not always work with all players, some players wont get emotional, usually because they're town but there are other players who refuse to show emotion whatever happens. But that is definately wifom. (pronounced whiff-um in my head)

Lynch wrote: Haylen: I was surprised by what I thought was a noticeable shift in your demeanour and personality as the thread progressed. You come off as jovial and friendly until you attract suspicion from Raskol, whereupon you seem snappy and irritated. I'm not sure if this change in mood is significantly relevant to the game or if it's simply deviating from real life matters, so I won't go into there, I just wanted to point it out.
Read my wiki, it explains. Also, I have been banned by myself from posting after 11pm and when i just wake up because I get irritable and snappy and comment on completely the wrong thing in a completely disrespectful way. Sorry for telling people to shut up ect earlier, i can be quite a moody person at times.
Lynch wrote: I get the impression that she's trying to find anything that can be used against the players she attacks, such as the poetic analysation of any line by auditor's that can be labelled as scummy.
Because of school and college, when reading poety I automatically analyse it and if I don't then because I don't have time, I go back to it. I'm telling you now, though, I'm very rarely wrong with my analysis of poetry. Therefore, I'm sticking to that analysis.
Lynch wrote: I guess I'm in disagreement with most of her points
One of the reasons you find me scummy is because you disagree with me? Seriously?
Raskol wrote:I don't think that inconsistency or craplogic are scumtells coming from her
Yeah...I'm not proud of that it bites me in the butt quite alot, definately trying to improve, that's one of the reasons I'm here :) Out of curiousity, which of my games have you read? I like knowing. If you don't want to say now, I can wait til end game.
Raskol wrote: I blamed her for not telling us why she really couldn't post. She gave us some crap about university finances, internet connections, etc...while all the time she was posting away in other threads. That is an inconsistency and a scumtell.
I am well known for overloading myself with work, and all that work piles up whilst I'm being distracted. It's not crap, I'll give you a full list of what I've had to do if you like, everything I've said has been true. The games i have on my wiki are not a complete set of games I'm in right now. And don't yell at me for overloading myself, I can't see that changing anytime in the future. But I will be posting more now.

Think that's all for now.

Actually no, just saw onion's post. I strongly disapprove of meta in Newbie Games, trust me, if I could, I definately would. However, if you are going to go down the meta route with Sideney for that game, why don't you do the same for me? I think you'll find my play has been quite similar. (And that is in no way hypocritical of me, just a little bit controversial)

hi guys
As I'm feeling better today, I'll elaborate on why I'm voting Sideney.
Basically, if you look at his posts, they have been very brief with absolutely no attempt to scumhunt as of late. They have been pushing for a lynch and only that, with no reason what-so-ever.
Yes, Sideney, I have accused you of lurking and have not been very active until recently. However, I have given my reasons and my reactions ect appear to have satisfied nearly everybody. The difference between us is, I have tried to scumhunt. You haven't. You've just been yelling for people to to lynch me. I am also voting for you because you completely jumped on me as soon as I was accused by Raskol without even giving reasons.
You were far more active and useful in our last game, that is a total contrast of your play here. Which is another reason I'm voting for you.
Also, you are refusing to role claim, only scum would have reason not to.

GUYS: Only in very rare circumstances is it a good idea for the town to no lynch. We definately do not want to no lynch on Day One. A circumstance where it is good to no lynch is where there is 4 players left because you know for definate there's only 1 scum left (if there were 2 left, you'd have already lost), that way the scums NK will narrow down the suspects. A circumstance such as this is the only time I would consider no lynching.

No, for a start I don't live in a dorn room yet. You're american correct? In england most college kids live at home then live in Halls of Residence when they go to uni. I'm not off to uni til the end of september (*fingers crossed*). Also, I've never been drunk in my life, very rarely drink actually. If I ever say I'm drunk, I'm really extremely high on pepsi (that stuffs good). And I also don't really like being noticed by people.

I think lynch is acting pretty scummy.
- Says he though both targets were town, and then says Onion should have been voted off yesterday (who he said he thought was town)
- Advocates policy lynches. Not only is insisting on a policy lynch scummy, but it is also poor form.

GUYS: Policy lynches are never a good reason to lynch people. Whilst I agree that we dont want a lurker at lylo, it is poor play to lynch someone for these reasons. It's the same as trying to get a player lynched because they screwed you over in a previous game. It doesn't focus on the objective side of the player, it focuses on the subjective side, in a way. Lurking is a null tell, depending on what meta you have on that person. Lurkers should be dealt with by replacement, not lynching (unless you're playing one of Yos' Lynch all Lurker theme games, but that's not the point). Mafia lurkers tend to be those who post just enough in a game not to get replaced - note: newbie town may also do this sometimes.

on with why Lynch is scummy...
- I'm apparently on top of his scummy list, when he has a better case on Echo, and his case on Echo is better than his case on Anticollie. Yet Echo is only 3rd on his scum list. Bussing?

- Says he was tunneling Onion. Bullcrap was he, and anyway, i thought he thought Onion was town? Also says that he's asked the town not to tunnel. That's a slip right there.

Vote: Lynch

Raskol, here's a better explanation of policy lynching. I'm using myself as examples in these because my intentions are the only ones I'm sure about, and also, it probably wont mean anything to anyone if I start spouting off about other players and using them as examples. Trying to making it easy to understand.

A policy lynch is something other than logic or psychology that makes you want to lynch people for a specific action without any regard for what else they have done, generally to deter people from taking this action. Lynching somebody for reasons other than that you think they're scum. Common ones are:

- Lurker Lynch policy. This is what Lynch was suggesting, lynching somebody because they aren't contributing rather than because he thinks they're scum. Sideney and Raskol tried that with me on Day One "lynch Haylen. she's lurking."

- 'I don't like you so i'll lynch you' policy. There are some players that really wind me up, you'll get players that really wind you up too, we're a social communitee on different personalities, it's bound to happen. However, if you decide you want somebody lynched because you don't like them, that's this kind of policy. This can also occur when a person disagrees with another player based on principal. I advise you all not to take past grudges into new games.

- Lynch all liars policy. This is a policy that I really don't like but can see the use of. I get accused of lying quite a bit, but it's generally not true in my case because I tend to be a different kind of thinker to others.I don't do things the way most people do it and they see it scummy. Bit of advice: when in a game, look up more common roles - that you dont understand- first and looks the rarer roles up later. I look up the rarer roles first, forget about the more common roles and it comes back and bites me on the ass. I get accused of lying because of it, don't make that mistake. Then there's the good side of lynching liars, cause scum are people who are lying. It is extremely important (yet sometimes difficult) to realise which scenario fits the situation.

Remember, everyone on the site has their own playstyle and it's constantly developing. You may find people with the same playstyle as yours when it is distinct enough, and that's a good thing. Then there are those, who are very dissimilar but don't be tempted to lynch them just because of this. Everybody has their own thinking style, most people play using a concrete logical thinking style, mine is very abstract. I think of things from completely different angles. This is also something that you shouldn't lynch people for. Another thing, everybodies style of play has flaws. Everybodies. Not just newbies, but experienced players too. Like myself, I'm brilliant on the theory, and the pre-game organisation (such as meta) and organisation throughout the game aswell (in the form of spreadsheets. I would show them at the end of the game, but I don't now how to and i tend to be the only one who understands them anyway), but my playstyle itself can be pretty aweful at times. Especially in mini games. Learning, still learning. Bit of general advice, by all means play loads of games in Road to Rome first, but don't be tempted only play there until you feel your style of play is perfected, cause you'll suddenly realise when you go to Little Italy, or another thread, that you've only perfected yourself against newbies not against more experienced players. You have to judge when you're ready to move onto the bigger games, it's different for everybody. I mean, I played one game in Road to Rome, signed up to another one, and signed up to a mini halfway through that game. Turns out that was a little bit too early for me. Oh well, what's done is done.

Enough rambling...back to business.

Nikanor - If you can link me to the post in which Echo wrote that and give other reasons why he is scummy too, if they convince me, I will change my vote.

If you don't know how to link to a post, it's like this:

1) Next to the date and time of a post is the word 'posted', on the left hand side on this is a little orange or white symbol that looks like a bit of paper. Click that symbol.

2) On the page it sends you to, copy the early from the address bar.

3) Type in the following code in the post box (obv changing it where I direct you to, with the correct information.

Code: Select all

write what you wish it to come up as here

Here's an example.

This is a link to Vi's last vote count post

As a code, that is written as

Code: Select all

post

Hope you understood that.

Anyway, Onion appears to have vanished, Vi says she has prodded him, which is good.

Echo needs to post more content. As does Raskol, but I trust he is catching up, life screws you over sometimes and I accept that, so I wont push him at the moment to post. Echo, however, I will. Oi! Look alive! You too, Onion.

Oh yeah. another thing, sometimes you may come across 'special' players, they are rare on the forum, but still pop up from time to time, they like insulting people. They are called trolls, if it's after a game, in general/mafia discussing we just ignore them. If it's during a game, the best way to deal is with PMing the mod. Of course, I'm always available if you need advice on things here, but it's not allowed to be related to any games you're playing, that would be very very bad. PM or AIM, dont mind which. Helpful person, when not crabby :D

Counting through this post, it's the most times ive ever managed to go off on a tangent in one post before. At least it's a helpful tangent though.

The view on policy lynches is purely subjective, I'm just giving you my opinion to help you form your own. No, I wasn't saying 'don't lynch people for these reasons' of course there are some circumstances where you can use things as part of a case, but not on it's own. All I'm saying is be careful, try to know the whole situation before you make judgements.
Onion wrote: I guess my all in all objection to Haylen's suspicions is that she didn't include post numbers for me to reference.

i'm also not finding where in day 2 he advocates a policy lynch.

Day 1, it was day One.
yeah ok pronoun problems here. can you rephrase this so i can understand it better?
I'll rephrase when I'm not pretending to be cleaning my room.
my current suspicions are of Raskol for talking too much
I really hope you're aware how ridiculous that sounds. But I think I understand what you're getting at. You're saying he talks a lot so he isn't accused of lurking and wont be assumed as scummy because he's participating in the game, correct? If that's the case, please word it like that, it's important in these games that you aren't vague and you explain yourself well otherwise it just sounds bad.

I'll be back later to elaborate on my answers to Onion and any other's that people want to bring up.

Nikanor, ok thanks, i wont show my notes. I go overboard with helping sometimes. If anyone wants me to shut up on the advice anytime, just tell me. I'm technically not qualified to give it as I'm not an IC yet, but I know what I'm talking about.

Nikanor? I have a question. Are you finding it difficult to keep up with 5 games at once? Just saying cause if you are and can't post sometimes because of this, there's no shame in admitting it. Well completely understand. Most people manage 3 at the most, i can do 4 at a push. It's quite common for newbies to do that before knowing their limit. Please dom't think I'm dragging myself into your business, i'm just expressing my concern.

Ah, Ok. Just don't overdo things, k? You'll exhaust yourself and make the game less enjoyable. Know your limits, or the other people in the game will screw you over. Been there, done that. I'm a slow typer and get easily distracted. This post, so far, has taken about 15 mins to write.

Yeah, i'm too tired to answer Onion right now. Going to reply tomorrow.

Raskol wrote: Haylen---you basically came out and said that policy lynching was scummy, and gave a big lecture on how bad it was. Then you defined policy lynching as lynching people for things like lurking and lying, which are major scum tells. Now you say that it's all subjective and you were just making a suggestion....?
Raskol wrote: Question: would you agree that giving town terrible advice that just happens to cover your ass (like telling people that lynching lurkers is bad (and even scummy!) when you've been lurking), then backing off to opinion-land when called on it is a scum-tell? How would you react if you saw someone else pull that?
Hmm...I've done this alot: I make a point, go into it in a hell of a lot of depth and then make the point that the it's subjective but explain why. I meant that the view on whether the policies are subjective or not is affectively subjective in itself.

I don't think my advice is bad, it has been what others have given me and what I have learnt myself. I was practising before I become an IC, but now I've been told my advice I bad, I've decided I will make an aweful IC and should stick to just ordinary playing. This is going to be my last newbie game, guys.

Hi. Half dead to the world right now. I've just written 4 analysis posts for different games and replied to the responses. I will definately get that post to you tomorrow, even though I usually have weekends off of mafia. I think 9 hrs writing of analysis is quite enough. I have actually written the post on Lynches Inconsistancies, I just want to do the final brush ups, like make sure all quote marks and links are correct ect. Good news! I learnt how to type up in Open Office, instead of losing it on here.

Start Posting, now if you'll excuse me, I need some shut eye.

Hi. I'm ill. Can't think enough to post properly today. Stuck in a duvet cacoon. Fell off bed reaching for laptop. Currently in wierd position on floor unable to move as still stuck in duvet cacoon. If anyone wants to fly over to England to help me out, I would be very greatful.

I have informed Vi of illness.

Oh god, didnt know it was the deadline. I'll try and chat a little bit later.

That was extremely creepy.

I want you to know though, like I've told other players. I sign in an leave myself logged in for hours and go off to other places. I had a 3 hrs driving lesson earlier and left myself logged in. Once, I let my dad use my computer when I was at work, so I was left logged in for 7 hrs and people thought I was lurking then too.

As deadline is now, and because I found Onion to be one of my most suspicious players on Day One, I am going to

Unvote
Vote Onion

I know I'm going to be in deep doo doo tomorrow if I'm not NK'd tonight. Especially if Onion's claim is true.

Explain to me how every post except 2 were anything game related. I can't think very well when I'm ill. And ffs, don't you dare accuse me of not being ill when I am. I don't lie in my games, especially to the mod.

I lied, it isn't ready. I'm a perfectionist and a procrastinater, If i have to much to do, I say i've done things and put them off and off and off until I get called out on it. I should've gone V/LA days ago just so I can keep up with everything. But that's me, I overload myself with work. A combination of perfectionism and procrastination usually leads to dramatic explosions. And yes, I haven't got the hang of knowing my game limits yet.

Lynch me tomorrow if you want, it's hardly like I'm gonna be NK'd now anyway, thanks to Raskol.

I don't need to be saved, I'm a townie. And I'm sorry for the personal insult, that's the first time ever that i've done one in a game.

Yer. Whatever. I get mislynched loads for the same reasons. Trying to improve and failing. My reaction is natural coming from me, if you've read any of my games, you will see that. Although the insult is not natural and I apologise for that. I do know the theory almost perfectly though, and if something unfamiliar comes up, I find out easily. Don't mention acting if you don't want it to be commented on lol/

lol it is. I'm just saying it might get confusing in non Road to Rome games. I had to PM a player after a game recently to ask what they'd meant by calling me 'Hypo-town Haylen' I'd gone through the whole game, up until my mislynch, without knowing what the heck they were on about. An IC should be here explaining this, really, not sure I'm saying it correctly. Trying to clear things up before you get into a situation where you don't know what's going on later.

Echo. No. I admitted to lying about said post in an earlier post. I havent had time to write it yet due to being semi v/la. I also gave my reasoning for lying about it. (It has become common practise for me to lie about having posts ready. A blip in my playstyle i'm trying to sort out.)

Sabrewolf: I AM FEMALE. MY NAME IS HAYLEN. I AM NOT A DUDE. PLEASE REFER TO WHAT CONSTITUTES BEING FEMALE ON WIKIPEDIA (the normal one, not the scum one)

I made up the stats because I guessed them. My Maths sucks. Please refer to the Vengeful game in which I wrote quite a few posts on why I am not going to answer due to the Maths everyone uses. I deemed it necessary to use maths in the situation in the game, but since I can't really do maths, I made the figures up, but since I am very good at guessing, it is akmost sure to be correct.

Why are you FoSing me, Cain? Is it an OMGUS by any chance, because I'm currently in the process of writing a post that will count as something against you? (I really am writing that post this time. )

I do have a question though.

Once I told you there were loads of inconsistancies with Lynch's posts, why did you all go and look once you realised I suck ect.

And Echo, who could you miss that post I wrote? The one about not haven written that post...are you even reading the game?

Yep. I have a title and 3 lines. I dont want to post just that.

I have to go V/LA for a bit. For reasons I don't want to discuss, real life stuff. Will be gone between 1 and 3 days, I depends on how I'm feeling. You might see me posting in GD when I feel a little bit better. But for now, I'm have to go V/LA across the entire site. So sorry.

You voted me when I was V/LA? That was low guys...

Good game though, I know exactly what I did wrong here.

Cain, I was killed because of your OMGUS vote (well near OMGUS vote), please try not to OMGUS in games, it's not very...appropriate, and will probably get you lynched. I was going to add that to my things that make you scummy when I returned.

I did notice the MD thread with ric implying he was scum and was going to bring it up, do my homework a little bit too well to the extent I started meta-ing roflcopter in one game because a GD joke post suggested he was ether's alt.

Other than that, did I do ok with the whole advice thing? I'm at IC status now :) This was the game that took me to 5 games finished. I know I went overboard with the helping a little bit...

Nikanor, you played really well! You too Raskol...even with the deciding I'm town, then deciding I'm scum again. Didn't read enough of sabrewolf to decide decide either way. Echo! Don't lurk at the beginning of the game, I was unsure of you all through it, and I think others were attacking you for it too at one point.

I have actually forgotten who else was in the game...serves myself right really, posting having just woken up...

To summarise:
Cain, think carefully in lylo, don't make hasty decisions.
Nikanor and Raskol did really well.
How did my advice thing go?
I get to be an IC now! Yay!
Echo, don't lurk. *cough*hypocritical*cough* (although i dont consider myself to have been lurking)

For the record, this has to have been the worse playstyle type thing I have ever used. My lesson has definately been learnt. And my perfectionism vs procrastination definately needs sorting out.

Oddly, I am actually quite fond of you guys now...which I don't get.

Yep, i played stupidly. I admit that. The stuff that wasn't the 'lurking' is a usual thing for me to do as town, it has flaws and i'm trying to work on them. Hell, I would've lynched myself if i could, so you did good.

It just so happens I had loads of things I needed to sort out at the times of this game. My prioritisation is sucky and usually leads to me procrastinating if i have too much work to do.

Yeah, i didnt play at my best, but at least im aware of it and no how to improve! We all have our bad games. The 5p Vengeful I was in was probably the one i played best in.

I want answers from Cain. Seriously, why OMGUS vote when at lylo?

lylo means lynch or lose, basically, if you mislynch in a lylo situation scum win. We don't want that to happen as town, so we're careful when voting in a lylo situation.

The main thing is learning your lesson, that's what newbie games are for. They're for learning the ropes and learning from your mistakes (although you should do that in every game)

You have learnt your lesson, right? No voting too soon in lylo and especially no OMGUS voting in lylo.
