Listen up, you dirty dozen, which is not an comparison to a classic movie but actually an observation that, in your realizations of ignorance that, “oh my god the game is starting and I have nooooooooooo idea who is guilty,” the 12 of you have adopted a particularly pungent odor, which reinforces my natural inclination to distance myself physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and professionally from you. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees, I do know how much inHimshallibe hated it when I called him Mrs. Cox, because not only did the name “Cox” remind him of the bond of unholy matrimony that existed between us, but the “Mrs.” also reminded everyone in earshot that despite spending the equivalent of the economies of Greece, Guatemala, Guyana, Guinea, Equitorial Guinea, and Burkina Faso on allegedly age-defying Botox treatments, he was an *old* married-then-divorced-then-whatever-we-were-then hag. Each night, he'd whine to me by PM about a player, and I’d ignore any nightaction they sent to me just to get him to shut up and go away.

So let me say, that for managing to rid me of that vain shrill egotistic harpy I somehow married, I owe you all a utterly sarcastic, “well done, team!” that I’m going to immediately confirm as being utter sarcasm by explaining how now the only thing dragging me back is the iron weight of your collective incompetence. Because, after watching you twiddle your thumbs around in such tight little pirouettes that I could see the miniature pink tutus on them, you ran out of time and scrambled to get a last-minute diagnosis, which, unsurprisingly, could not be more wrong.

What? Oh, sorry, I must have forgotten to set my alarm clock to wake me after I dozed off on that leeoooooooooong night shift I had to serve with Debonair Danny DiPietro. Who is a <snore>. Oh, I’m sorry. I fell asleep again because he is so <snore> boring, that simply thinking about telling you how boring he is caused my brain to reflexively switch itself off in a desperate attempt to not have to listen to him, about him, or nearby him and all him-like things. He was way-hay-ay-hay-ay too boring to have any <snore> night abilities <snore>.

Brandi was useless. She had no abilities. And, ya’ shouldn’t look so surprised. I told her to try not to kill herself. So now, I have to ponder a deep philosophical question: if one doesn’t have any expectations whatsoever, is it still possible to feel disappointment? ‘Cause, I just don’t know. My Coroner’s Report

Usually this is the part of rounds when our nervous pathologist would inform me about the tragically preventable circumstances which resulted in last night’s casualties. However, today, with the sort of irony that I usually prefer to revel in after work between beers number 2 and 5, we instead have Furry’s corpse. Furry was a doctokay, I’m really sorry, but I just can’t finish that sentence and keep a straight face. But did ya’ see how well I tried? Which is so much more than the effort he put into those unfortunate future donors that most of us typically call “patients”. Why, if I had five cents every time I saw a doctor as bad as him, I’d have a dime, because that one time I broke my self-imposed rule about talking to passengers sitting next to me on airline flights I happened to be in the window seat next to the yap-yap-yap-yap-yeeeeeeeeeeeeapping Dr. Kevorkian himself, who almost matched the sheer lethality I have witnessed in Furry time after time after time after time after time. So, on the graveyard shift (and yes, I am using the term deliberately) he would PM me the name of the player he would try to treat. In the morning, I’d flip that dime, and figure out whether (heads) he saved them, or (tails) he killed them.

I know it’ll be a challenge, but do you think you can manage to live up to your usual level of haphazard hopelessness without his talents?

Step 1: Get a pen.
Step 2: Write down the patient’s name.

Now I can understand how you can run into trouble by this point, these being tasks so difficult that an admitting nurse might not master them until their second hour on the job. I mean, what if the pen’s out of ink? What if all I have is a pencil? Or, it’s the 21st century, aren’t I supposed to be doing all this on a computer?

So, if you had this much difficulty identifying that veerus’s name wasn’t Kimberly Briggs, you may as well give up any hope of ever being a capable diagnostician. Hurricanes descending on a coastal town, or that ex-girlfriend who makes out with your best friend across the room, they both have names even though you and I and 100,000 evacuees know that they’re just unstoppable forces of nature. So despite veerus claiming to adhere to the societal standard of moniker, we all know that he was so chaotic that we may as well forget about niceties and just call him as he really was: “The Janitor”. I have no idea what his ultimate goal was here, but, I’m familiar enough with the general idea of “systematic elimination of everyone opposed to his regime” to not care about the specific blueprints he’d drawn up.

Now, if you’re expecting me to sink to my knees and thank some divinity that it took you only 3 operations to excise 1 tumor; well, by the time you get here tomorrow morning, I might be finished laughing at the idea, and might instead be able to manage a pained grimace as I observe your over-cocky egos bungle your next case.
