@Izak:

1. OPs count towards numbers.
2. If you fill your 12p server with 12p, AND bukkit, you will lag more than you have ever seen lag before. Your RAM usage will be maxed out at 100% guaranteed, and your CPU likely will be too.
3. If possible, I suggest not using bukkit (especially if you want 12p), to save on RAM usage.

Yeah, but I never really take that into account. I mainly use melons because a single push of a button can get you 100 hunger points worth of food. Everything else takes several times longer, especially animals.

no, its just we made new rules about height requirements, and I didn't want to have to forcibly remove the top few levels of your shop. <3

Also for my server guys:

If ANYONE is caught abusing the new automated Shop Plot system to get MULTIPLE shop plots, ALL of their shop plots will be removed, with no refund of items, and they will lose the ability to ever use shop plots again!

then if you break the sign, you get it back.

after makign the sign above it converts to this:

etc etc etc

the top line is the stock you can withdraw by punching the sign as the owner (basically, your profits), the bottom after the : is the stock held in the sign until you break it, awaiting selling.

all of this requires installing bukkit.

we don't have bukkit on the MS Server, so none of it is possible.
the TPing is a vanilla thing for OP's that using the Server Software provided by DaddyCHeese, claus was able to route to your usage.

The only way to get the type of TPing you want is a Bukkit Server with plugins

@Xalxe, if they only instal essential things like making it so people can't tp to you if you don't want them to, how is that "crappier" than vanilla? I doubt Claus is going to start installing mcMMO, Townie, MultiVerse, Trains, Guns, or all of those shit because A: 99% of this server doesn't want all that in the first place, and the 1% that does can hop on my server, and B: We don't have a server capable of running those big plugins.

@Clause the plugin you want is http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/teleconfirmlite/ if you did decide to do this. And I do agree with the need to do this, or get rid of teleporting all together

so Bukkit in and of itself without any plugins, is still Vanilla.

since you brought the afk factor into the thread, I'll post the same thing I sent in the pm

FTP > Plugins > Essentials > Config.yml

about midway down the page, or ctrl + F AFK its the secodn useage,

The first is how long to constitute an "afk". I have mine set to 5 minutes, The second is how long of being AFK = auto kick, I have mine set to never.

The only problem with this claus, chesskid has already predicted your interference, and has engineered a self-rotating slide to keep him in perpetual motion so the server will never truly register him as afk.

The next best option, I could ask around some of my developer friends and see what the most lightweight Mob-Cap plugin is, it makes it so that at any time only so many mobs can be on the server, nerfs how often they spawn without spawners, and sets mobs-per-chunk limits.

Luckily guys, Claus keeps regular backups, so he'll just revert us like 24 hours tops. (this is why bukkit is good Xalxe. Bukkit could have stopped Chesskid, by using anti-TNT/anti-lavafire/anti-firespread plugins)

@Tbone, I just checked, the plugin to stop creepers damaging build that are above-ground (underground can still be blown up) is still installed.

and the nether isn't usually backed up, we have to wait for an admin to rollback, and it will waste about 24 hours worth of build time. and likely undo a bit of your builds as well, I'd rather have them handcuffed than have to lose progress.

In the Server Control Panel, the request to transfer ownership to horridscreams-2.0 has been placed and will be done by this time tomorrow. It is up to the Admin Team if they want my account to have No Access, Guest, User, Mod, or Admin on the Server CP.

On the forums, the Root Account has had its info changed and posted to the Admin Den, and i made a new account with Donor Status (I think I deserve the title as Donor, however if the admins disagree, they may derank em to member). Admins may confirm if they so wish.

To the admins, mainly Blake, I suggest making an account at www.daddycheese.com in addition to the /panel login, so that the bill can be billed directly to you rather than needing me as a middleman. If you wish, I can also assist you in providing the cheaper hosts I have found, should you decide to move hosts, and I am willing to answer any questions you have in aspects of the server you are unfamiliar with.

To anyone who says this is a harsh over-reaction/an unnecessary thing to do, This was going to happen in July anyways, the only difference being I am no longer providing the funding as I had originally planned. This is actually better for my future anyways, as now i can better focus on my exercise and getting in shape for Basic Training. To anyone who wants a refund (jake &/or Brandon), tough luck. @Jake: your Donor time will expire before the server crashes due to lack of funding, IF it does (I am not saying it will, it may go on for years) so you have nothing in need of a refund. @Brandon, you've been offered a lifetime Donor Status grandfather'd into the new system by me multiple times, but you've quit playing the server so that was denying my offers.

To anyone who thinks I am QUITTING, no. I am merely going to (for the first time in MONTHS) actually PLAY minecraft. I look forward to it.

that, and I recently had a bit of a spat with someone among other things that lead to his permban, and it is our banning procedure to re-claim anything the banned players have built and give the resources gathered from them to the players for free at spawn.

SO, I am starting a new server now that I passed on the reigns of Hogwartia. it was getting to much for me.

this one will be a smaller server, with a much more selective whitelist, meaning i have to like you/trust you in order to get added (most of ya'll fit that bill, its mainly the H crowd I gotta be selective about)

It's going to still have a few plugins, like Essentials, Grief Prevention, LWC and/or Lockette. but none of the fancy shit. I also am going to be taking a much more handsoff admin approach. Ya'll know whats ok and what isn't, if I have to get involved, all parties are getting a short ban, if you're name pops up again, its a perm. Since I'll be keeping griefprevention, looting chests/valuable building materials from unclaimed builds will be allowed.

I can also copy over anything from the Hogwartia Server, and (if Claus would be so kind as to provide me a copy of the Server's World Folder), I can copy over stuff from the MS Server as well.

I'll likely have a DynMap of it and whatnot as well.

let me know if you want on the whitelist/ any buildings coppied

Grief Prevention: gold shovel to claim your shit to keep it from getting griefed. I am not acting as mommy and daddy between you and other users, if you don't get along, claim your shit and keep them out of it.
Dynmap/Dynmap-griefprevention: We will have a real-time server map available online, for users of the server and others to use. If you get on the map with the same IP address as you log into the server from, you will be able to chat using your minecraft name from the map website. Others can (I THINK) pick a username for themselves. The GriefPrevention part is it will show areas people have claimed, so you know where others are at, should you want to build close to them/far from them.
ManySmallTweaks: Things like levers on more blocks (stick levers directly on a piston, etc), default-spawned colored sheep, use shears on cobwebs to get cobwebs, etc..
Lockette - you all understand this, its a simple sign-based locking system. Chests inside of claims are by default already locked,
MaxEnchanting - the third Enchant option will -ALWAYS- be the highest level your enchanting table has to offer.
Everything Else - admin shit don't worry 'bout it.

THINGS TO KNOW:
With Lockette, you can add [Timer: #] to set a auto-close timer on things like gates/doors, set to 0 for never auto-close. By default, the auto-close is 4 seconds. You can use [Everyone] to make a chest/door public, but unbreakable/unlockable by others.
IF YOU ASK ME KINDLY, I can create GROUPS for you with names up to 10 characters long and without spaces, these can be used in lockette signs like this: [GROUPNAME] (eg: [GAVSFRANDS])

Server IP will come once i finish getting shit set up.

IF YOU DON'T CARE WHERE I COPY PASTE YOUR BUILDS TO, POST SO HERE, AND I WILL DO THOSE BEFORE I GIVE OUT THE SERVER DETAILS, AND CLAIM THEM FOR YOU!

I'll donate any gold/iron I have to communal railway systems. My only request is that we do two sets of tracks to any destination, and I get to design the stop points, I have a design i spent a few hours perfecting for a few friends over on my server that makes "stations" possible without breaking a continuous circuit line, and still being able to start back on your way again with the click of a button (en ingenious combination of underpowered powered rails and hills

) while also being multi-directional, meaning you can arrive at the station from either side, be stopped, allow you a chance to chose to get off, or push a button to continue on without getting out/moving your minecart.

Instead of two sets of tracks to any destination btw, we could also just create an entire "circuit" of all the stops in a circle.

The you need it to be full-powered when it hits the incline on either side of the station for the station to have a full guarantee of working, so I suggest a powered rail 1-2 spaces from the station on either side.

Explanation of parts:

the center powered rail is self-explanatory, just for powered rails. The inclined powered rails are where you stop when entering the station from either direction, following the Minecraft Physics rules of powering a rail that was previously unpowered while on an incline will give you a boost in the direction of said incline, sending you continuing on your journey.

The flat powered rails 1-higher than ground level are to bring you to the stop on the incline. at full-power, it takes roughly 1 and a third powered rails to come to a complete stop, therefore stropping you near the top of the inclined rail, so if you click the button immediately after stopping, you'll continue in the same direction you went previously.

If starting, you place your cart on the INCLINED rail on the OPPOSITE side of the button from the direction you wish to travel, hop in, and press the button.

(I completely made this design, without using wiki/youtube/google, on my own, after hours of fucking up trying to mace a circuitous rail-line that works with you coming in from either direction.

Isabella either customized or uncustomized is a very clean, simple, nice pack. Coterie Craft is pretty, Summerfields is a bit more out there, and is 32X, but looks amazing still.

Lets run a SECOND server!!!! A MODDED SERVER!!!! (I'll pay for this one, so Claus/MME have no more financial worries, and since I'll likely be the primary player)

I was thinking of Simple Ores and Nether Rocks

I want at least 4 other people beside myself to show a decent form of interest in going on with this before I decide fully.

If any of you want to suggest mods, they MUST be Forge Compatible, and MUST have SMP versions. And all the players who show interest have to show some form of interest in the mod as well.

(No Redpower/IC2/etc please. shit confuses me.)

SO WHO WANTS TO DO THIS SHIT?

(My ideas were since we'd likely not have enough interest to make a full-sized city. that we'd be more cooperative, and all work together at it. Like build a communal compound for everyone together. Like UT and IUT's place. (or we could always get peopel from MCforums) )

Also what Izak said about Magiclauncher. It really is a godsend. and every time a new MC update is out I change my minecraft.jar to minecraft(oldversionnumbershere).jar, and re-download the updated jar, so I have backdated jars since 1.0

seems like just more decorative than anything.

There might be one new woodtype to make new planks and used in any wood recipe, but other than that, early on it said something like all-aesthetic.

Instructions Set 1 (For those of you who Understand Modding, and Want OTHER Mods As Well):
1. Download and instal the MagicLauncher
2. When opening the Magic Launcher MC Launcher, click Settings to edit your .jar settings.
3. Duplicate the Default (so you leave a default clean un-modded jar option) and name it whatever you want.
4. Add ModLoader to the mods list FIRST
5. Add minecraftforge-client-3.3.8.152 to the mods list SECOND
6. Add ExtraBiomesXL 2.2.3 for Minecraft 1.2.5 to the mods list THIRD
7. Add SimpleOres CLIENT version (1.2.5 v5) for Minecraft 1.2.5 FORGE VERSION to the mods list FOURTH.
8. Add NetherRocks CLIENT verstion 91.0.2) for Minecraft 1.2.5 FORGE VERSION to the mods list FIFTH.
9. [OPTIONAL] Add any of your client-side mods here.
10. OPEN YOUR .MINECRAFT FOLDER
11. CONTINUE TO LAST STEP AT BOTTOM OF THIS POST

I'm a bit out from spawn. You'll see me on a decent sized island on the shore of a lake with a view of a glacier. ME and josh claim that entire island.

Also, The server is off to a decent start. within the two days we all had a decent supply of Copper, and I have begun a Bed-Making business.

We have decided the currency of the server is to be flowers. So hoard your flowers well.

Izak, do you want me to give you copies of my modified Inventory Tweaks files, to better deal with the new blocks?

Currently it just sticks them in Numerical Order at the end, I am re-writing them to group the tools and armor etc correctly

EDIT: After three hours, InvTweaks now plays nicely with the new items...

@Tbone, Metalurgy we have to wait for 13 or downgrade to 1.1, he has no 1.2 version. Plus if we used that I'd not really see the point of that + SimpleOres, so we'd get rid of SimpleOres? + it needs new chunks to generate.
The Fishy thingy if everyone likes it, we can do it with very little fuss.

I think I like Onyx or Diamond armor the best, but Onyx has poor enchantability. I got PRot 3 a few times on lvl 45+ enchants
