Also what Izak said about Magiclauncher. It really is a godsend. and every time a new MC update is out I change my minecraft.jar to minecraft(oldversionnumbershere).jar, and re-download the updated jar, so I have backdated jars since 1.0

Yeah I used magiclauncher to run optifine yesterday, and I can still use the minecraft.exe to run without optifine/vanilla. Its great.

PS: what mods do you guys use to get the minimaps up in the corner?

What do the blocks it adds do? I couldn't find anything on the page.

seems like just more decorative than anything.

There might be one new woodtype to make new planks and used in any wood recipe, but other than that, early on it said something like all-aesthetic.

Instructions Set 1 (For those of you who Understand Modding, and Want OTHER Mods As Well):
1. Download and instal the MagicLauncher
2. When opening the Magic Launcher MC Launcher, click Settings to edit your .jar settings.
3. Duplicate the Default (so you leave a default clean un-modded jar option) and name it whatever you want.
4. Add ModLoader to the mods list FIRST
5. Add minecraftforge-client-3.3.8.152 to the mods list SECOND
6. Add ExtraBiomesXL 2.2.3 for Minecraft 1.2.5 to the mods list THIRD
7. Add SimpleOres CLIENT version (1.2.5 v5) for Minecraft 1.2.5 FORGE VERSION to the mods list FOURTH.
8. Add NetherRocks CLIENT verstion 91.0.2) for Minecraft 1.2.5 FORGE VERSION to the mods list FIFTH.
9. [OPTIONAL] Add any of your client-side mods here.
10. OPEN YOUR .MINECRAFT FOLDER
11. CONTINUE TO LAST STEP AT BOTTOM OF THIS POST

Instruction Set 2 (DRAG AND DROP FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THE ABOVE MEANS):
1. Open your Minecraft Game
2. Click the Texture Packs Button
3. Click the Open Texture Packs Folder Button
4. Go UP a folder to your .minecraft Folder.
5. Open the folder named BIN
6. Delete minecraft.jar
7. Replace it with THIS minecraft.jar
8. Go up a folder to your .minecraft folder AGAIN
9. CONTINUE ON TO LAST STEPS BELOW


LAST STEPS FOR BOTH METHODS:
1. Check to see if there is a folder named

. If not, Create one.
2. Open .minecraft/config
3. Check to see if there is a folder named

extrabiomes

. If not, Create one.
4. Open .minecraft/config/extrabiomes
5. Delete all contents of this folder, if any.
6. Put THIS FILE into the folder.
7. Close all of these windows. You're finished!

Now if you followed Route 1, Open MagicLauncher, Launch your Game, and Enjoy. If you followed Route 2, Open Minecraft.exe, log in, and Enjoy.

Ok.

On Maru's server if you walk around near spawn you might find a bay with a Sandy Hook on it. My house is also dug in on the side of a hill. No one build on my sandy hook! I have plans for it!

There are plenty of cool spots on the server anyway, since we got those extra biomes mod.

My house will go on the deserty place on the Jungle biome across from T-bone's place. Also I claim a few of the overhangs throughout the Jungle biome.

I'm a bit out from spawn. You'll see me on a decent sized island on the shore of a lake with a view of a glacier. ME and josh claim that entire island.

Also, The server is off to a decent start. within the two days we all had a decent supply of Copper, and I have begun a Bed-Making business.

We have decided the currency of the server is to be flowers. So hoard your flowers well.

the only important one is the Tree one, the other two are all personalpreference on how you like your inventory sorted.
