Each of you knew what you were getting into. When you accepted this mission, you knew you would have to kill, and kill without remorse. Sometimes the only way out is to end the life of the one who sits across from you; of the one who sits next to you.
And having weighed the circumstances, you decided as a group. After the Zerg rush hit your base, you wanted nothing more than to kill the bastards responsible for all the bloodshed. A few among the group seemed to be aloof; were they stunned by the trauma of witnessing so much damage? Or had they been expecting it all along? You didn't know; couldn't know. All you could do was try your best to find out, and that's what you did.
As a team, you backed millar13 up against the wall in your split-level bunker, just after the sun was falling below the horizon, with the last remnants of the golden-orange sunlight filtering through the atmospheric dampers. You took turns, pressing her with questions left, right, and center; piercing, probing, hoping for a sign or a clue that she'd been the cause of your terror and subsequent grief. Her eyes darted this way and that, and she screamed in fear, appealing to the most basic of the emotions deep inside each of you. Some were unaffected, and kept their shotguns and sniper rifles firmly trained on her forehead; others, shaken by her piercing screams, hesitated and took their fingers off the trigger.
But one among you decided that now was the time for action, never mind the qualms within some of our stomachs. Truth will out, her parents had always told her, and now was no different. So furcolow stepped up to the plate, trained her pistol on millar13's brow, and squeezed the trigger.
millar13's head snapped back, and a sheen of dark crimson sprayed against the titanium wall of your bunker as her lifeless body crumpled to the floor, unmoving. And then the one who had done the deed reached down and ripped the now red-stained dog tags from around the deceased's neck, and began reading aloud so all could hear:
"... Kerrigan, Sarah Louise."
millar13, Sarah Kerrigan, has been destroyed.
It is now Night 1. Please submit night actions.
Deadline is July 20, 9pm EDT.
