Mini 611 - Troy, Meet Helen (Game Over)

I used to live in Troy. You know the place. It was a nice little town; one of those suburban paradise-type scenes where there was no crime and plenty of poker games and cook-outs to go around. Manicured lawns, flawless homes, professionally-decorated interiors, (“with just a touch of Asian flare; it would look so good with your new futon!” she said…I think she just wanted to sell that damned water fountain with the bamboo growing in it. I just wanted to get laid and thought chicks might dig the set-up.)

Anyway, for as long as I can remember, Troy was a pretty quiet, good place to live. Until Helen came to town, anyway. Yeah, I know, cliché as hell, isn’t it? But it happened. I remember the day she moved here, her bright pink SUV blaring down the road without a care for the 15-mile-an-hour speed limit. I remember how perfect her lawn was before she got her neon-green acrylic nails into it. Once she had her say, the grass had pink flamingos and there were more strange people going in and out of that woman’s house than you could count on both hands and both feet.

Then, one day, they found her dead in her own home with evidence that she’d been dating some mobster. Everything went to shit right quick. The town kind of closed themselves off from the outside world, and everyone suspected everyone else, even their closest friends and family. Turns out that there was a mob presence in good ole Troy…but you don’t wanna hear about that, do you? Oh, you do, eh? Alright, I remember the whole thing like it was yesterday…and if you gimme anything more about clichés, you won’t be hearing the rest of the story. Capiche?

Game Rules (Borrowed from Vel-Rahn Koon):


1.
You may not post Moderator-supplied information (either real or fabricated) of any kind.
2.
There is to be NO personal communication outside of the forum postings unless your role PM specifically allows it. Players with roles allowing communication may only communicate outside the thread during the Night phase.
3.
If you have a role with a Night action, your choices are due to me by the posted deadline. If I do not receive your choice via PM by the posted deadline, no choice will be made.
4.
This game will start with a Day phase. Communication outside the thread (if your role specifically allows it) is allowed until the game begins.

Voting, Deadlines, and Player Death:

1.
A simple majority of all living members must agree on one person for a Lynch to occur (simple majority = ½ # of living players +1, rounded down).
2.
Once you have reached a simple majority, no further unvoting will change someone’s fate.
3.
Please submit votes as:
Vote: PlayerName
. Votes will NOT be counted otherwise!
4.
Please submit vote revocations as either
Unvote: PlayerName
or
Unvote
. If you do not unvote, your new vote will NOT be counted!
5.
You may
Vote: No Lynch
- a simple majority of these vote types are required to send the game to Night phase without a Lynch.
6.
Deadlines may be implemented if I feel that discussion is lagging. At deadline, the person with the most votes will be lynched. In the case of a tie, the person who was voted for first is lynched.
7.
Once a player is lynched, the game enters twilight until I post a death scene; the lynched player may not post during twilight but all other living players may continue to post.
8.
Once you are killed (either via lynch or night kill) you may no longer post, except for a brief “Bah!”-type post.
9.
Breaking the rules may earn you a forced-replace or a Modkill.

Miscellaneous:

1.
Even Mods make mistakes; please be patient with me and gently point out any errors you think I may have made.
2.
Colored text is reserved for me. No invisible/small text is allowed.
3.
If you have an issue/problem with the game, please PM me privately. Do not post issues/complaints in the game thread.
4.
Questions/requests for the Mod may be posted in-thread. Please bold all requests so that I don’t miss them.
5.
Prods of missing players will be issued upon request or as I see fit. A player who has been prodded 3 times is subject to possible replacement without further notice.
6.
If you anticipate being unavailable for more than a 48-hour period, please post a notice to that effect in the thread. Treat this game as a commitment. Be considerate – don’t leave us hanging.

Please remember that this is a game, and your main objective is to have fun! Be considerate of each other, don’t get personal, and enjoy the game.

This set up is CLOSED, meaning the roles are hidden entirely. Please keep the general MafiaScum rules in mind when playing. I do not want a repeat of what happened to the other game. Thanks!

(a.k.a. Townie.) You have nothing to do with Helen’s death but you sure want to know who did do it, so use your only power, the power to vote and lynch, to kill the dirty scum that did it and rid Troy of the dangerous thugs!

You win when all the threats to the town have been eliminated.

Still not random voting, although putting one in for Charter
is
tempting. [= There's a 1/16 chance that Hadhfang would get mafia both games, assuming the number of mafia hasn't changed for this game. That's 6.25% chance he's mafia. Just sayin'.

Farside and Lord Gurgi have already matched the input from Near last game, so that's a good sign.

He's got the same chance of being mafia this game as last game. So there's a 1/4 chance he's mafia this time. I don't like your misleading statistics. Though I do agree with your assessment of the input of Farside and Gurgi.

Also, you voting for me would in no way be random haha.

@ Charter, in mini games, regardless of the special roles present there are almost always 3 mafia, it's based on the formula of 1 mafia for every 3 Town
