IMO, our best bet today is Piggy -- her -1 seems likely to have been a lyncher trying to get her target lynched -- which does mean that if we do lynch her, we've got a good chance of clearing distad (if she's the lyncher, distad's probably her target, making distad town), which will help us in catching the mafia -immensely-.

You think that it would be that easy to track a lyncher? When a person puts someone at lynch -1 and doesn't understand all he mechanics of the game, and thinks it might spur some attention. Based on that, is it siginificant to lynch someone for that? I put Distad at lynch -1 knowing that he was at lynch -1. Do you think I expected someone to hammer?

Hey guys... I'll likely be gone all day tomorrow (Sunday). I'll be back on my normal posting on Monday. If that's the case, we need to think about why we're FOSing Piggy. I think that she's the lyncher and I'm her target. Her ultra cavalier-ness about putting me at -1 on Page 1 and her smarmy retraction from the position make me fairly certain about that.

But... if we kill the lyncher on D1, we have 3 town and 2 scum left, putting us at lylo. If we kill the Godfather, we'd have 3 town and the lyncher, giving us far more leeway. If we kill the goon, we'd have 3 town, 1 scum and the lyncher. Even at that point, we're not necessarily at lylo.

You could certainly WIFOM me as the lyncher, but either way, going for the scum makes the most sense.

yeh i see your point. Ideally, killing the GF today is the way to go. Of course, with a choice of killing the Lyncher or the Goon, i think they are both about equal. Both give us the same number of enemies. Lets face it, the Lyncher's sole aim is to kill a protown player. That means his natural ally is the scum. If i was confident Piggy was the Lyncher, i'd have hammered her already. But I'm not.
Mneme deserves some pressure imo.

Well I'm trying to run over some numbers in my head right now as I post.

I have to agree with Distad/BM, going for an easy lynch of the lyncher (ha) is probably not our best bet. I'm modarately sure we have our lyncher in Piggy, but i'm still not CERTAIN. Lynching a townie would nigh doom us, and I don't think Ms Piggy is behaving like mafia scum, but more like lyncher scum. Best to save her until the mafia is dead.

I'm curious as to why BM only said "obv scum" in his vote for Mneme, I haven't got a real scum vibe from him. (This isn't to say I've got a pro town vibe either, I'm neutral at this point.)

I think pressure on anyone would be a good thing, it might get us more active and our deadline lifted. Being forced into a DL Lynch on page 3 is going to really hurt us.

i think Mneme is pretty likely scum, courtesy of his post on Piggy, which whilst criticising her -1 on Distad, did exactly the same thing to her. Mneme is far too wise a player to commit such hypocrisy and risk the game with it. I'm not even ruling out Mneme-GF, trying to bus Piggy-Goon.

There is certainly a decent possibility of it. Throwing piggy at -1 when she knew piggy wasn't scum is probably unlikely.

Although, if that's the case, Piggy's OMGUS on mneme is likely a HORRIBLE idea, unless she's trying to pull any suspicion from herself in a last-ditch effort to stay in the game (she was well on her way to a lynch).

I'm not ready to put him at -1, but it's certainly a legitimate concern.

1) She might not understand the dynamic of this format
2) She might have forgotten that if the GF dies, goon does also
3) She's quick tempered and throwing darts at ANYTHING.

yeh i think you are right. On closer inspection, her OMGUS vote on Mneme could just be anger at being bussed. Ms Piggy is the sort of person who would let that get in the way of her victory i think.
