OK, that's just
too
funny.

I nominate you to immediately replace tehgood. He's already been replaced in multiple other games, and I figure it's the best way to keep the integrity of the game.

I'll definitely do it if mlaker opts to replace. I'm already somewhat invested here and would like to continue.

Heehee, that's too funny PB. I do hope you get in as a replacement though, you've had good incites.

Well, after my inactivity cost my team pretty severely in another game, I've resolved to be more active in the games I'm in, so expect to hear more from me here. As of now, I gotta admit modargo's reasoning is pretty good. MGIA dopesn't really have anything damning against him at this point, and if the night goes down as outlined he'll be that much closer to confirmed in my mind. Thus, EnPace's desire to get modargo killed because he's an ally of Gnome's reeks of scumminess. This is about the most confident I've been about a day 1 vote to date.

Vote: EnPaceRequiescat

On another note, I don't think Calvinball should be dropped entirely from this game, just have it a little more structured (even though that's against everything Calvinball stands for). The system used on the 'news was pretty effective, so it could be stolen, or you could devise something new mlaker. Just because the "everybody makes a rule each day" system was incredible flawed doesn't mean this game can't be fun with some form of Calvinball, it's just needs some thought put into it.

My reasoning was that gnome was very suspicious, but we could confirm whether he was telling the truth tonight, so there wouldn't be much point in lynching him tonight, when we could lynch him tomorrow. However, at that time, modargo was protecting gnome, in several instances that God had pointed out. So, my reasoning was this:
1. we have 1 suspicious person with 1 suspicious person protecting him. 2. we can confirm the first suspicious person. Since we did not have much else to go on, why not go for the suspicious helper? especially when we have plans to check on the suspicious person. If we were checking on modargo, I would not have voted for him.

sorry... g2g sleep. tomorrow's school again. eck.

Vacation is over, I'll be back on regularly (like always). And PolarBoy - this HAS to go down in history as one of the funniest mafia moments. :) Please replace and get in this game.

Re: Calvinball; I'm sorry it didn't work out, it *WAS* confuzzling, but the idea of the players making rules is an interesting one...

I for one think Gnome is very suspicous. Since we have a vigilante at our disposal, however, I think it's a good idea to have UT target him and us lynch someone else during the day. Then, on the off chance that Gnome is actually telling the truth, he can block UT and save himself. Meanwhile, we should look at who else is suspicous. Mordago, for protecting Gnome, definitly fits the bill, so I don't think EnPace is suspicous for going after him.

I agree Gnome is still very suspicious, I'm glad Calvinball is over, I hope PolarBoy can replace someone (that is quite hilarious), and I look forward to the rest of this game.

I think there was some confusion over my last post. I was not intimating that the roles present in the game would be predictable, just that once roles were stated, which ones were evil and which ones were good would be relatively obvious.

There are certainly arguments against the mass role-claim, but mostly that they don't work in most games. I think this is probably not most games.

Personally, I felt that mordargo had the town's interests in mind more than God when we were making plans as to what to do with Mr Gnome it All.

Umm, He thought we should target a have another dead random townie if MGIA turned out to be lying, whereas my plan would've seen the liar die.

Does this mean you won't target Gnome during the night? If that's the case, then I think it's in the town's best interest to lynch him.

Also, I'd like to request a vote count.

After reading the thread, I agree with Breakdown... and will therefore add pressure to the EnPaceRequiescat bandwagon.

There are so many ways this plan can backfire on us...

what if the mafia kills before the vig? the mafia could just kill gnome and UT would accidentally kill someone.

I already believe both of their claims, and I don't see why this checking is really nessicary.

Being targeted bt UT is fine. That's no bother since it won't do anything. My problem comes with the fact that doing it that way I'll still probably be killed by the scum at the same time. Anyone have any ideas how to prevent that?

Well, you have a back up, Gnome, so killing you to get ride of your blocking power wouldn't help the mafia much. And the mafia have bigger fish to fry than a mason.

Since UT's targeting Gnome,

I don't really like the EnPace wagon at this point. Gnome
has
been acting suspicous, and we have a plan to take that in account. It's not as bad an idea to look at who's protecting him as Breakdown is making it out to be.

Mordago doesn't look like a good target either, though. After Dutch is proven innocent or guilty, we can examine his defense of Gnome.

Right now, I'm suspicous of Gnome most and Korias next. Korias posting has been extremly sporadic. His most recent posts seem only to try to put the kibosh the plan we've worked out. What do you object more to, Korias: testing the Gnome's claim, or protecting the vig?
