RULES & SETUP
(stolen from mith; edited slightly)
Rules:
1. This is a game. Have fun. Don't let things get personal.
2. During Day, you may vote for the player you want to lynch. Votes should be in the form Vote: Player or they may not be counted. It is helpful to "Unvote: Player" when switching your vote to a different player, though this is not required.
3. Whenever a player has a majority in votes, that player will be lynched, his or her role will be revealed, and Night will begin. Once a player has reached a majority, no votes or unvotes will be registered. You may also Vote: No Lynch; a majority will end Day without a death.
4. Days have a fixed deadline of 3 weeks. Deadlines will only be extended in extraordinary circumstances (if we are waiting on multiple replacements).
5. If no one has reached a majority at the deadline, no one will be lynched.
6. During Night, players with role abilities may send targets for those abilities. Choices are due by the posted deadline (about 72 hours); any not received will be forfeited.
7. Don't edit/delete posts. Use the "Preview" button to look over your post before you submit it.
8. Don't quote any private messages from the Moderator.
9. Mafia are allowed to communicate by PM during the Night phase only. Otherwise, do not talk to anyone about this game outside the thread (even if you are dead) until the game is over.
10. If you are dead, do not post.
11. If you have any questions, complaints or comments you may PM the Moderator.
Setup:
This game uses the 9-player semi-open F11 setup. One of the following was chosen at random:
- 1 Mafia Goon, 1 Mafia Roleblocker, 1 Sane Cop, 1 Doctor, 5 Townies
- 1 Mafia Goon, 1 Mafia Roleblocker, 7 Townies
- 2 Mafia Goons, 1 Sane Cop, 6 Townies
- 2 Mafia Goons, 1 Doctor, 6 Townies
Possible Role PMs:
You are a Mafia Goon with XXXX (I will specify here whether they are a Goon or a Roleblocker). Each Night, you and your partner may communicate by PM and decide on a victim. When you have chosen someone to attack, send the name of that player to the Moderator by PM. You may not communicate during Day. You win when all the other players are dead, or nothing can prevent this.
You are a Mafia Roleblocker with XXXX (Mafia Goon). Each Night, you and your partner may communicate by PM and decide on a victim. When you have chosen someone to attack, send the name of that player to the Moderator by PM. In addition, you may choose a player to block, preventing that player from using night abilities. You may not communicate during Day. You win when all the other players are dead, or nothing can prevent this.
You are a Cop. Each Night, you may choose a player to investigate by sending the name of that player to the Moderator by PM. Unless you are blocked, you will be told whether that player is Mafia or not. You win when all the Mafia have been eliminated.
You are a Doctor. Each Night, you may choose a player to protect by sending the name of that player to the Moderator by PM. Unless you are blocked, your target cannot die if attacked that Night. You cannot protect yourself. You win when all the Mafia have been eliminated.
You are a Townie. You win when all the Mafia have been eliminated.
