Mini 771 - Mafia in Ludd

Moderator: Vollkan

Game Status:
Game Over

Welcome to the town of Ludd, population 12. Ludd was formed in the 1960s by a small group of countercultural environmentalists and has since blossomed into a peaceful, if somewhat smelly, hippy commune. Recent reports suggest, however, that the mafia have set their sights upon Ludd, as an inconspicious base for future operations.

Unfortunately for the residents of Ludd, Earth Week has just begun. Showing their superior level of commitment to the empty symbolism of Earth Hour, the Luddites have decided that for the remainder of the following week (or longer if they so desire) they will stay together in a single room using absolutely no electricity. Many dark nights are ahead...the mafia are getting excited.

The Living: (1/12)

4: Lynching requirements are set out in the previous post. Once a lynch is decided, the decision is final. Feel free to continue posting until the thread is locked, but unvoting, etc. before I check the thread will not prevent the player from being lynched.

Camn, I don't think we've ever spoken, and I have some news you probably don't want to hear. First, you should become a mith minion. If Incognito has mentioned our enlightened organization you you at all, he has been feeding you lies about it.

Also he's probably scum.

vote: Incognito

Hmmmmmmm........ Ether's spreading lies
(scummy)
but at the same time she's being witty/clever
(townish)
. I'M TORN!

I'll just
vote: Patrick
. He has never been scum in any game I've been in, we've been in 5+ games together, so I'd say he's due.

What's the benefits package of a Minion of mith?

VOTE Ether

YOUR STREAK OF BEING TOWN HAS RUN OUT!

Izzy, miniondom is an icebreaker and a way to annoy Glork without really annoying him
(most of the year)
. But really, you should be asking not what Lord Mith can do for you, but what you can do for Lord Mith. You should help me recruit more minions.

You should also help me lynch Incognito. That vote was serious.

No percentages for me?

The plot thickens.

At this point, I'd actually recommend killing camn.

...

Counterproductive.

I spoke to Incognito last night, after he got back from his weekend trip. A few hours after he'd gone to bed, I got back a PM from Vollkan clarifying a question I'd asked about his ruleset. (Size 8 text is legal.) But he didn't open the thread until today. Another PM told me specifically that this was because he didn't have all his confirmations yet.

Incognito could have confirmed last night, and it would still have been nearly 48 hours after PMs were originally sent out. If he hadn't had anyone to check in with, I think he would have.

End of the list.

Thanks Patrick.
And you wonder why you were the scummy one.

I think it is obvious that I
Vote: Charter.

He is too scummy when he is town to possibly ever be caught as scum.
Also, I am listening to John Askew, which I was listening to last time I thought charter was scum.

Don't hate me cuz I love techno.

Oh, and I will never join you. My loyalty remains with Incog.

That's a false dichotomy--the fact that I'm a minion doesn't make me any less of a friend to Incognito. In fact, has he ever bought
you
delicious bacon?

What do you think of my vote?

Actually, Upon reflection, I kind of support it.

Incog, what say you?
Did you confirm when you got home? whats the deal?

unvote, vote Incog

BANDWAGON!

Hey camn

Don't trust Ether's bacon tastes. She MICROWAVES IT. Oh the humanity.

Ah, so Ether's vote is serious. Well, allow me to dispel your fears then. Going through my sent messages, I actually confirmed with vollkan on Sunday, March 29th at 8 P.M. EST while I was away on my trip to Canada. You can see that I even opened the thread to my Newbie Game shortly thereafter. Anything else, miss?

Irrelevant. If Camn had bacon, she would be free to prepare it in any manner she wished.

Incognito, you know that I don't bother with joke-votes; of course I was serious. Your link weakens my point, but doesn't entirely counteract it--your access was still more limited than that of the rest of the cast. If you didn't put off your confirmation, who did? (Rhetorical question; of course, anyone else can feel free to speak up.)

Having said that, charter's vote is also making me twitch.

I know someone in scumchat was complaining about skitzer not confirming holding up the start of a game last night. Perhaps he is the shenanigan starter?

unvote, vote skitzer

Also, Ether, I have a very important question for you. One that is entirely crucial to pretty much everything.

Where does your bacon come from?

I'm assuming vollkan wouldn't have said something like that in scumchat, and I don't see why anyone else would either. If skitzer held off confirming with some ulterior motive, I don't think he'd go round telling people about it. I guess we should hear from him though.

It wasn't vollkan, I don't think. It was someone after advice about when to consider replacing someone during the confirmation stage, 'cause they hadn't heard anything from one person.

This. ^^^

Perhaps we should take a poll and find out who
else
had limited access this weekend. The fact that you know I had limited access makes this seem like a valid argument to you when in fact it's not.

Green Crayons, why did you completely ignore Ether's assertion that her vote was serious and proceed to place a joke vote without commenting on anything else?

I don't see why being late to confirm would be any kind of scumtell. You're saying that you really think the opposite, Ether?

So what you're suggesting is that because charter is scummy as town, he should be lynched regardless of his actual alignment?

Incog wrote:Green Crayons, why did you completely ignore Ether's assertion that her vote was serious and proceed to place a joke vote without commenting on anything else?
I'm fatigued at night and was merely establishing myself in the thread. Also, I take exception to the label of a "joke vote." I don't joke around with my votes, but they are necessary in the early stages of the game. End of the list is a common target of my first vote simply to put it somewhere. Coupled with the fact that Yos had not (and still hasn't) made himself known in the thread, and I would say my vote is more "faintly useful random" than "joke." /egobruise

Have you researched the activity for all other ten players to ensure that Incog was not the only one who was "away" and thus, if scum, would have wanted some time to talk with fellow scumbags? Also, (general question to anyone) how common is it for scum to be able to talk pregame? Also, (specific question to Ether) how useful do you think being able to slip in an extra hour or two of pregame discussion do you think it would be for mafia? Why do you think they would go this route (delay for pregame discussion) as opposed to letting the game start and having a scumbag "slip in" to the conversation a few days later, when focus on them at that time might not be as sharp (since initial suspicions have already been established)?

Korts wrote:So what you're suggesting is that because charter is scummy as town, he should be lynched regardless of his actual alignment?
Camn, how exactly is Charter "too scummy" when he is town?
